Organize your own raid, mate. Also I really don’t get mount collectors. I get more the people who dump thousands of dollars in gacha games than mount collectors. The mount is just a skin, where each character in a gacha game has some type of gameplay implication. I also don’t get why you’d have to farm mounts on so many accounts when mounts are shared, but you also are such an altaholic, you run multiple accounts just to be able to create all these alts.
But the problem here is you. This is why I don’t think games should have too much of an open-ended design. Fun has to be intrinsic to all choices players can make, because if developers let players make their own choices, gamers have shown a distinct ability to ruin their own fun. Like you here.
i just wanna level and have fun on my class in mythic plus raids/pvp without relying on borrowed power and unbalanced systems making some classes just about playable i also dont wanna spend hours among hours getting anima when i could wait a month and take advantage of the catch up mechanics
meanwhile shadow priests are still s h i t on open world questing and I am sure will be the worst class for torghast tower as well. Or maybe it will be viable after 1 year of grind covenants and conduits
It’s not special, and that’s precisely the point. It’s just a completely stupid, arbitrary idea that’s only designed to keep you paying attention to the game at all hours of the day instead of just letting you rest.
The problem with these kinds of mechanics is that they’re stressful and addictive. You always have to check again and again and again, and as such they disrupt your concentration. It’s this whole concept of offline progression and deliberate timegating and, more importantly, the threat of falling behind the curve and having to grind extra hard to regain the lost ground because you missed on the daily bonus reward or whatever.
I don’t really care whether or not it’s dailies or BG’s or whether it’s a system like Gwent or Hearthstone or whatever the heck it is. What I care about is that the game is constantly telling me to think about it when I don’t want to think about it, or to log in on days that I don’t want to, just for the fear of missing out.
It’s not exciting at all, and it just want it to go away.
Imagine if we actually retained at least some of the artifact abilities and maybe even leggos, all of the golden traits and artifact abilities could have easily be integrated into the baseline spec, and they had way more than enough leggo ideas from legion to make a new row of talents for every single spec.
Take all of the leggos that actually change how the spec plays, like smoldering heart, or lidrin’s fury… All of those could have easily been made 110 talents.
This game was fundamentally designed by a lot of really smart people 16 years ago to be precisely not like it is right now in this respect. They were deliberately distancing it from contemporary games in this exact way.
There is nothing about Classic that compels you to log in. You can play it when and how you want to.
Unfortunately it’s also old and my community is on retail.
I have a lot invested in this game. I’d rather try to get Blizzard off this kool-aid first.
I’m also concerned that this may be a system stacking expansion, they need to lay off of that and make some more exciting but non mandatory content imo.
The best part to watching that announcement is that I was doing a vision while watching and got the Mail Muncher mount.
I play it to overcome challenges and sometimes to chase the carrot. But I’m not an addict which you very clearly are. To me a game that isn’t posing a challenge is a game that isn’t worth playing.
Ofc not, since u can do 2 things. Go raid, to be a logking and que bg. IF this worth you 13 euro /months, then go play on Classic.
Or you wish another WoD, where u logged in your garrison to click x times, do raid once/week, then go off till next week? And forums full of spams about… “I have nothing to do qq.”
Blizz obviously have seen how much returning, completely new players to the game that has in the past months since Covid-19 happended, and they added those XP Rep / Level time buffs. That all those returning, completely new players have overblown doing the essence nonsense, the azerite, corruption systems bollocks nonsense and so on and so forth. So much now.
They have taken this at face value, that they see it as a positive thing going forward enough. They will take this as ‘‘Yes sir, mr fellow friends / devs. Our community have shown a shocking massive participation in our overblown of systems! let’s expand on this now in SL even more! BECAUSE WHY NOT?!’’ And that is WHY they now have decided SL endgame to be filled with systems.
I blame returning, complete new players to the game, gz. You lot are the reason SL will now turn into to be a grind marathon explosion of marathons for any type of player. Expansion.
