How far you progressed with your guild in t11?
World PvP or faction imbalances are not really the tricky part with the current world pvp. But sheer population size. Each faction is so much larger, that a faction can cover almost all parts of the world at once.
Even on a 45/55 split. If that split entails 5.000 total characters. In comparison to Vanilla’s more modest 2000 for a very large server.
Then there simply is very little room to breathe. Safe zones dwindle. Battlegrounds should have been released at the same time as honor to keep some of the population out of the world.
World first on all bosses!
Otherwise you are just another prof, Halfus HC killed during firelands XD
was like that in vanilla also, though most likely worse now due to spy addon and things like that.
I don’t do Dungeons.
The world and all the fun got ruined for me with Cata.
Why are you paying a monthly fee for not playing the game then?
How can you judge something if you don’t play it?
Quests, levelling, professions - I collect all in-game recipes ect. and when that is all done on one, I re-roll, and eventually I’m going to do the IronMan Challenge, Classic edition. The game is so much more than dungeons and that is the lovely thing about it. WoW is not one thing, it is many games in one. It’s a world. And you decide what’s fun.
ETA And I’ve been playing like this from Vanilla onwards to a bit into BfA.
Sorry bud but I have to be honest, this is the most mediocre thing I have ever read in 15 years of wow
I feel sorry for you too, the game is rich outside of the dungeons, and if you never have travelled across Shimmering Flats in the sunset, you sure miss sonmething according to me.
But each to his own. I don’t tell you how to play, so please let me enjoy my way.
Then don’t blame the game, if is you that don’t want to play the game as it designed.
the focus of this game is always been raiding and the existence of comunity sites like wowprogress, warcraft logs, ecc, are a proof of it.
I have never blamed the game. For what should I blame it? I’m having fun, I have had fun, and I foresee to contnue having fun. But as I said. There’s no “right” way to play tis game. Competition and PvP is one way, PvE is another, Dungeons is a third, Achievement huniting yet a fourth. Who are you to tell whish way - or combination of ways are the rigth?
And now I stop. I’m off to hone my axe skills and bash some naga
you wrote this not me, but you dont know it.
plus 15 years of this game proves that raiding is the focus. most of the people waited and now watch who is the one to clear the new tier
It’s the way that it is. Just gotta get a good Guild who will actually help you.
I don’t know what you’re trying to prove, or who you’re trying to convince, and about what. I still think everybody’s free to play the game as it suits them, and play to have fun, not to please other people.
You said Cata was the best xpac - that is your opinion. In my opinion it was one of the worst. This is opinions, matter of taste and has nothing with blaming the game to do.
I am happily playing Classic, enjoying having my old world back.
The only external sites, I use, and only sparingly at that is Wowhead (Thottbot). I don’t want to waste my time following youtubers or whatever.
Let other race all they like, and let me wander through the woods killing bears and nagas, smelling and picking the flowers. How can this hurt you?
If I ever feel like running a dungeon, it’s still there for me - new and fresh - with the same challenges, the same bosses and the same loot it held for the first group to ever run it, It does not in the least diminish my pleasure if 5 or 50 or even 50,000 have done so before me.
then dont comment in that trollish way
Huh, sorry. If you state your opinion: Cata was the best Xpac in a Classic forum, you must realize that a lot of people do not agree with you. And if trolling is the same as not agreeing with you, but feeling free to voice one’s own opinion on an open forum, then I admit to trolling.
My biggest concern where anything WoW is involved, is to speak for peoples’ freedom of choice be it faction, race, talents, or playstyle.
I choose RP-PVP server because I like PVP and I missed RP in Vanilla and TBC. Well, RP didn’t happen but instead a lot of PVP happened. Now I want to transfer my characters to a proper RP realm, even if it means it’s PVE.

Raiding is not the focus for everyone it wasn’t “designed as a raiding game”. We (friends and I) don’t raid, have no intention of spending time with whining, needy kids scrapping over gear, or toxic guild leaders who use players as “things” to get rid of if they don’t like them. Besides if you look at statistics a very small percentage of the playerbase raid “endgame” (a ridiculous phrase in an mmorpg as there IS no end of the game). In fact it’s us folks enjoying ourselves doing all sorts of stuff that has kept this game going with our subscriptions, if it had been left to the raiders, the world would be empty, players minimal…or no WoW.
There is plenty more to do in this game and have fun and we’ve met some great folks doing dungeons, or helping others out etc.etc. and have made some lovely new friends with the same mindset. When Classic dies we will return to other mmorpgs.
Dude, i was questing @ badlands, killing rock elementals. Some 60 warlock killed me, i assume he wanted to farm the elementals. I ressed and waited since he was multi pulling those 43-45 level elementals. Waited till he got low, cold blood ambushed killed him.
I did not come and cry on the forums that wpvp is killing my experience. I did something in game.
After that incident, the same warlock (obviusly tilted and mad dying from a 42 level rogue) corpse camped me for about half an hour. I again did not come crying on the forums. I asked for help from high levels in /1 and my uber horde high levels guarded me till i could finish my quest!
No this is not a post saying “Why did you choose pvp server”. This is a post about how to level in a pvp server with very active wpvp. Simple.
Now you will say this is just a one time incident, but I will say that these kind of incidents have happened @ Hillsbrad @ Arathi before.
I read forums religiously because in retail forums have died and have no purpose other than recruiting and now with classic the good feeling of discussion on forums is back. But this moan attitude people are having makes me not want to visit forums at all.
Now before you say that you are talking as a horde, I have leveled an ally on a horde dominated server 50-60 while honor had been live.
