lol,wotlk will bring other servers even more dead,while being dead itself.
what blizzard needs is close some realms,not open new,thats for final fantasy 14.

Most people i met, during classic vanilla already, but also in tbc, are looking forward to WotLK. Hardly anyone is looking forward to cata.
So imo they will launch WotLK, but in normal time schedule, which is ~2 years. So it will be well over a year from now. (17 months or smth)
Imo they should merge all classic servers into 1 vanilla and 1 tbc then, as there is always an audience for those. SOM is redundant and shouldnt have been launched at all.
I doubt so, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got P3 in January 2022, P4 in April, P5 somewhere in July, and then WotLK in Fall 2022. Keep in mind that P4 only adds ZA so 6 months of T6 content is plenty. I do expect P5 to last a bit longer, much like Vanilla P6 did, but even then, if SWP comes out in July 2022 then that leaves possibly 4-5 months of SWP before WotLK comes out before 2023.
Reminder, original dates:
- Black Temple (2.1) 22 May 2007
- Zul Aman (2.3) 13 November 2007 (6 months after BT)
- Sunwell (2.4) 25 Mars 2008 (4 months after ZA, 10 months after BT).
If they are anywhere close to the original dates we are in for a long wait to WOTLK.
ZA being the “only thing added” is no different from back in the days. However we are getting Mount Hyjal, an additional Raid, in our P3 unlike the original patch which only delivered Black Temple - so the lenght of that, if anything, risks being changed.
SWP in July seems like a guess based on nothing at all, like all your dates. Naxxramas was out for 7 months before TBCC (if that serves as a guide for the lenght between “last phase” and new expansion, I dont know).
Keep in mind that people do not need full BIS items from Sunwell Plateau because they can either get it while WOTLK is out or replace them completely with WOTLK items so we dont need P5 to be out for 12 months.
We just need to kill KJ while its current content and call it a day.

Probably Christmas 2022. It will definitely happen since it is by far the most popular WoW iteration ever.
I don’t see any reason for why the original release dates should have any meaning today

SoM already released last year and it has nothing to do with TBC/WotLK since only a tiny fraction of the playerbase actually plays it.
i know for sure , there be a lot moar then player base then tbc and classic if they release woltk . because it was the best expansion ever they made it
