I was in such a Guild with my Rogue, lol in server Firemaw.
We had Hunters with Brutality Blades and Quick Strike Rings.
Here’s the excuse offered by the Adminstration:
“We value people more over classes. Hunters after all benefit from strength and frquently get into melee range to strike things with their melee weapons. In addition, Hunters benefit from the +1% crit chance on Brutality Blade”.
They also told me that “DPS figures and who tops DPS meteres (I was top DPS) is irrelevant. We don’t care”.
This is the same guild that had a Retardin Officer who raided as Ret.
Hunters/Retardins/Feral Druids would also be allowed to roll on Band Of Accuria too from Rag. Happily I never saw that b/c I /gquit long before that happened.
Do you blame me for /gquit?

Sounds like you were on your first raid and didnt get what you wanted. I love dedication to commited and loyal players, I wouldn’t personally be in a guild that operates by giving str items to hunters over warriors - but that’s their damn prerogative. Find these things out before joining and then you wouldn’t be running to the forum for validation
no guild with officers that have above 100 IQ should give these items to hunters unless nobody else needs those period. You did the right thing quiting that guild because they are going nowhere and the hunter is probably friend of the officers or gm so there is favoritism over logic.

I would stay in. It looks like more casual approach that values people over min/maxing efficiency.
I think it’s fair if you feel you dont like this, but I would, personally, stay in.

Yes, I would stay, because I dont give a single f*** about “how far my guild gets”. The game is already solved, the content has been cleared 14 years ago, who cares if you clear it again?
So you play an mmorpg which is all about character progression.
Yet you don’t value it at all.

Who says I dont progress if I dont protest loot going wherever I think it should be going? PVE is garbage anyways.
Items should go to the class that gets the most out of them, next time a BiS bow/gun drops ask for it and see what happens.

Unfortunately we never had the Striker’s Mark drop. They were the kind of Guild Of Scrubs that would give it to a Hunter too.
PVE is so bad that I’ll be steamrolling people who solely PVE from ph2 on because my gear is far superior.
You don’t value character progression as you don’t care where loot goes.
Because you’re an expert on aimed shot and your guild were so impressed with your performance they gave your 1h sword to a hunter.
I value fun. Progression can be fun, sure, but I dont need Bis gear to have fun. And I literally dont give a s*** about loot I dont even need. Who cares who gets it?

Next time Brutality Blade drops even though I have Warmonger im going to roll just to see the rogues cry.
I do as it keeps people happy, which makes the game more fun for me.

Of course I would stay in such a guild. Regardless of being a hunter or not.
The items you’re mentioning are BiS for hunters until phase 3 or later, ya fool.
Band of Accuria will be replaced in phase 3 by Don Julio’s Band, and Quick Strike Ring won’t be replaced until phase 5 - by what, you ask? BAND OF ACCURIA. The change of BiS in other slots means that you essentially upgrade inbetween phases but still keep band of accuria for phase 5 where it is suddenly BiS again.
Brutality Blade is likewise BiS until phase 4, where it gets replaced (along with core hound tooth) by Warblade of the hakkari (mh) and fang of the faceless.
So essentially you’re whining about a class that is allowed to roll on BiS gear, as if you had more of a right to this gear than them.

I can see how Brutality Blade should be prioritized by melees, but if we look at it in terms of longevity, it’s clear that you’re just whining because you’re greedy.
Rogues replace quick strike ring in phase 2 with tarnished elven ring (super easy to get btw). They also replace Brutality Blade in phase 3 (with Maladath).
What is it exactly that you want to be prioritized so hard for?
I could understand if you were mad that hunters were allowed to roll vs you on something like Core Hound Tooth which remains BiS for dagger rogues until phase 5, but… the rest is just selfish and downright childish.
You honestly need to get a grip mate.
