If my progress in wow 1 doesn’t cross over in wow 2 then i will play the riot mmo.
If i have a bmw i’m gonna most likely buy a mercedes or anyother brand than buy a better version of bmw, i rather taste new fruits.
I mean if they want to speedrun kill the company it’s a good idea though.
it’ll reset the playerbase and attract new players / younger generations with also previous gens being lured into it. that’s not waste of money but we all have our own opinions.

It is a waste of money, because it’d be a mammoth gamble.
you should take risks if you want to stay on top tho. innovation is the key of wow’s success
If it’s fun I’d play it.
Although as others have mentioned, it would be more likely and smart to make a whole new game while leaving this one existing til the end of time. But if that was the case and wow2 was really an option, if it can be considered an improvement I’d surely move on with a new character with the same name. That’s all I want to take along with me.

it could be a brand new mmo too . i just don’t think resetting the current game won’t do any good because it’ll just be like classic but a bit better graphics. it’s obviously a better idea to make a new game with a new engine than resetting the old game which is already behind of today’s tech.
I was somewhat pointing out there were more than needed,because I for one have been using the headless horseman and the mammoth for the repair …and that s all…

If it’s static, it means the old type of flying - I’ve assumed they’ll allow any flying mounts there, and the dragon riding ones can put in a talent to be like old type, or dragon riding type - while the older type will only have static.
Yarp, I got the Shackled Ur’zul on third run, and I didn’t own it on my original account. I had over 530+ mounts on old account, and currently I have 136. I had over 1000 pets as well, and over 300 toys as well.
Rep grind will be fun as well. 
I’ll admit I enjoy farming mounts here and there, since I had majority of drops, there wasn’t much to farm anymore.
Dropping everything, making massive reset especially in a way outlined by Asmon (which is essentially keep everything in albeit “improved” but reset players to zero) is a suicide. No game I can think of survived such move and even less were around for as long as WoW. If they even were to consider such a move they’d need everything to start from scratch. The game and its content included. At the same time they’d need to show veterans some appreciation for being there since the start.
There’s no point of resetting current game, then they may aswell shut it down and launch a new mmo cause I wouldn’t keep playing the same game fully reset.

Exactly, I had most of it from WoD and down - and actually getting something new saved when I’m doing stuff is way nicer than just killing bosses to reach the one that drops a mount. 
As I play on Classic Servers I think it would not affect me. Though if they did I am actually unsure what I would did.
Maybe I would start finally feeling free because of all the events that I missed while at the same time having only memories of fun during darkest times of my life and so could finally start having fun with WoW.
Or I would feel like this:
If they made me 32 again then maybe.
Otherwise no, I’d be gone. What would be the point of collecting anything or grinding anything? They’d just reset it all again in 10 years (or sooner).

I would… try it out.
I enjoy the gameplay, and I have good people who I enjoy playing with. But also, I’ve put hundreds, probably thousands of hours into collecting titles and transmogs. I don’t want that to be thrown away.
But gear… is seasonal. If they said there’s a surprise patch and season 3 arrives next week… ok. If they said all gear for everyone is reset to ilvl 1… ok. I expect the power resets anyway. Happens every 6 months or so. I’d even be ok with “everyone is level 1 and back in their starter zone now”.
As long as my titles, transmog and mounts are still there. Even if they look bad by the modernised standard and the new ones are all so much cooler. Which often is the case anyway.
i was talking about making a brand new game, resetting the existing one won’t solve anything and that’s clear & won’t happen
