WoW being Reset completely. Imagine it would happen. Would you stay or quit?

I mean sure, if you like to have conversations with someone that did not want to talk about Asmong sure. Go ahead and don’t care. Does not sound really bright tho.

If it’s good I’ll keep playing it

I would quit. I don’t want my stuff to be reset. That’s why I play retail - to keep my process. If I want resets - there are private servers for that. If wow wants to do seasonal content with resets - it needs to have much higher rates (exp, rep, drop quantity, etc.).

That depend largely on the finalised product.

If i deemed the changes upgrades and improvements to be worth the time investment of redoing everything ofcourse id play.

If i log on to aee nothing but a improved levelling system and better graphics i most defintly would not.

Proper wow 2 with new questing and all sure. Remastering the same game no.

People who advocate for world revamp are delusional and that’s me being polite. There is no way that new better looking trees mail boxes or whatever will make the process of doing the same quests, dungeons to be more enjoyable.

It would be unlikely to return. I’ve put a lot of time, effort and money into getting things I have. If I were to lose it all I don’t think there would be much reason for me to return. I don’t have as much time to dedicate now as I used to have.

I wouldn’t care.
doesn’t care too much about morg’s, mounts and achievement points or (no real life points) as I call it
so for my sake they can do what they want.
It would actually be nice to get it all together again, and not as mega scattered as it is now

I don’t see any chance of this happening. Losing %99 of players? What a troll idea!

Wow is about progress. Resetting it means, game is as good as dead.

Just remove all Fomo. Don’t remove any content. Problem solved.

Do the same thing as I did with Destiny 2: go through the five stages of grief (Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance) and move on.

I see no purpose in such a reset other than giving collectors a fresh slate. But then it completely depends on their mindset going forward because it would mean half the collectibles are gone forever due to all the past promotions and fomo content we’ve had. Then, if Blizzard stick to fomo, time exclusive rewards and endless promotions, we’ll just slowly get back to the same place.
Not to mention most people won’t be bothered doing all those old raids 100+ times each again for mounts

The game is far, far too bloated for “improved content” to matter unless it’s a drastic rehaul.

I would however, definitely try a WoW2 if they ever decided to make an entirely new game. They don’t have to delete retail for that, people still play FFXI. The only issue is I don’t trust the current Blizzard with doing a good job on a WoW2.

I have the Light to compensate!

I would be ok with it. Sure i wouldnt be able to brag with my glad mounts or elite sets bur theres so many now that no one cares anyways. Only instance i wouldnt be ok with it is if it was just a reset and the game is completely as it is. They would have to revamp the zones remove all characters and maybe have some way of displaying old acomplishments. Either way idc that much i enjoy the game, my 600 mounts being removed wouldnt change that.

Depends on whether I would like the new version of the game or not. Whether it would have a decent RP population or not.

I highly doubt they would make that move though. Revamping the whole game (not just the base game but all expansions) would take a high amount of resources and they would also risk half the player base quitting. I think this is the main reason why we haven’t seen a WoW 3 (WoW 2 was basically Cataclysm, we just didn’t lose the data there).

I also like to keep my stuff I’ve worked for. Games where characters reset each season do not appeal to me. I like to invest into my character, I have the same main since 2007.

I don’t understand this take that wow is bloated and there’s too many mounts or transmog or zone or anything like that, i think that’s wow’s strogest point, if you like collecting things or exploring you’re gonna absolutely love wow, if wow got abandoned and blizzard made another mmo i would just quit completely and go play guild wars 2 again or start playing final fantasy

I mean if one can’t think for themselves. .

Exactly. I don’t need someone to tell me what to think or believe, I’ll choose that for myself.

I really don’t think the focus needs to be on Asmongold. He’s just another person with an opinion. You don’t have to agree with his opinion. Nor is this opinion new or original. This discussion has come up many times on the forum.

Yeah - with a bunch of rabid dog fans that spout his opinion as a fact.

Would be better if he took his opinion and kept it so himself.

I just think it doesn’t matter. Lots of popular streamers/content creators have followers.

People gravitate towards the people that resonate with them.
