There is a similar thread for German speaking realms. Actually, some want to be connected to everybody else, some don’t. But basically everybody at least wants for all German-speaking PVE-servers to be connected (still not the case, which makes no sense whatsoever) and all PVP-Servers to be merged as well.

As far as I read it, your post says basically
I am trying to find out just what you want merged.
- If you want the 2 PvP clusters merged - and ZT thrown into it - I’m with you all the way.
- If you want to merge all servers, I’m against.
- BGs won’t be helped one jot by any merges, as they are already one pool.
In short: What do you want?
I read through the German thread. And you are right; they mostly ask for the same as the majority here do: 2 or 3 servers per language group. And I agree, it makes no sense to have more than 1 PvE, 1 PvP and 1 RP(PvE) server per language group.

it hurts a little, but an RP server with about 50 players on both sites has no base to play. merge all german pve realms please.
Celebras is the German RP server, right? and though I feel your pain, I think this post belongs in the German forum. And maybe we should all use the In-game report possibility to ask for merge of same sort realms in our language groups? I do not think Blizz reads the forums.

You have failed us! There are not healthy populations on the servers right now. There would however be a healthy population with just double the playerbase → servers connected to each other…
Fix this now!
To be frank… You have made this statement, charged people for cloning their characters and even though there is a solution, you have neglected to do anything about it.
This could lead to a lawsuit.

No, you failed on the game. They messed up with the “pay to stay” thing. People want full servers, but dont want to join a low server. So how the f do you think we will get full servers if kids dont join the servers?

The PvP servers still need to be merged in to one big server
(This is what everyone on both the current PvP clusters think at the moment)

As you all know Activision Blizzard stopped working on anything or even reading the forums over 15 years ago and have only kept the servers up to get the money from subscriptions since then. Unfortunately people have stopped playing for some reason, so there is no longer a need to merge any servers since they are all unpopulated. We have instead decided to remove the servers.
