I dont know what the queue problem is but I can get into wrath which is busy but not Hearthstone … Really stupid Battlenet, why link games together ??

ok I did this and worked, If you have a friend that manage to log in, ask him to pass you the .exe of Wow and replace it in the folder for retail, then I launch the launcher and did a rare update in a window but after it finished I press play in the launcher and open the game, I have to put my details for log in but after a min or so it log me in, hope this works

Cache didn’t work.
Then tried relogging to Americas. First it didn’t even let me log in. So I thought maybe Blizz is now blocking IPs from outside the Americas because the workaround actually works and people from elsewhere are flooding the US download servers. So I tried via US VPN, it then at least let me log in. But I am now stuck at ‘initializing’ again.
Great. And this is not even the expansion launch, just a pre-patch.
3 hours of waiting, still nothing happens. Evening wasted. I’ve uninstalled bnet, took around 1 hour , still doesn’t work. I think severs are over loaded with the amount of people tryning to download WoW and CoD at the same time. GG fellas.

I can’t believe they started the pre-patch with a huge error … This day should be added for an 1 day extension of gametime. We PAY to PLAY !

I just did, I’m still not getting great speeds, about 1 - 1,5 MB/s, but it’s a lot better than the 150-200k I was getting before. Worth a shot maybe

Same here, tried to fix it but made things worse 
Now update button and % are not responding at all.
At least I’m 52% of the way there on the twitch drop though.
No idea if I’ll be able to get into the game to claim the pet…

American VPN doesn’t seem to work
So I think it is genuinely just the download servers are on fire, really annoying but just gotta wait unfortunately

It might be worth a shot to target the Asia region. As you can see here, they have more CDN servers: blizztrack com/view/wow?type=cdns

Thanks Blizz for the sweet evening. It’s been this many years with server and update experiences and still we see ourselves in the same situation over and over. Not acceptable for a buy to play + monthly fee model.
