WoW download stuck on "initializing"

Downloaded enough to hit the play button, but nothing happens…

I have downloaded this update this Morning, worked out fine. Then i logged in 4 hours ago and i have been stuck on Initialization, VPN+Region change method worked out for me but as Soon i Changed Region back to Europe or Turned off VPN the Update started downloading itself again, resulting in being stuck again.

log out of bnet, open task manager and kill all wow and bnet stuff you can find, log in to bnet using the correct region and then it should open normally

I’ve did this with no results:
VPN+Region Change
Cache Kill
Reinstall
Deleting Battle.net folder from Program Data

It’s a issue with their Update Agent, as soon i downloaded the update with the said VPN method, WoW didn’t wanted to Launch and as i said before, i am downloading same update 2nd time.

After 5 hours, It has started downloading, at 28 bytes/s. Going to be a long night.

Nope, not working. I click Play, it says “Launching” for 2-3 seconds and it goes back to “Play” and nothing happens.

That’s what happened to me after i “downloaded” update

Yo Blizzard what I presume are your CDN servers are not reachable from UK.
Here is the list for your convenience:

157 B/s is what i have topped out at, after 4 hours of trying VPN’s and region swaps. I just reloaded on Europe, no VPN and boom, its downloading, all be it at 157 B/s

Proton vpn/us connect/ 500kb/s 180mb to download works! so go ahead!

Well my game is “playble” but it always crashes at login to realm… good job  Now it says 59%?

this is just shameful tbh

But it was expectable <.<

Feels like owning a Range Rover, so proud, so happy… then it breaks down. Is Bliz Rover trademarked?

This is frustrating, came earlier home only to experience this.
I’m trying to reinstall the battle.net launcher, but it’s been stuck at 4% over an hour now.
The workaround doesn’t work.

What is the point of advertising “Dracthyr” as playable for today if the launcher is buggy and the game is taking ages to update?! What a mistake to invest €90 for pre-ordering a buggy game and pay to wait instead of playing.

This isn’t the first time. Too bad! You better come up with a smart solution to make your EU customers happy after this. For example, refunding game time worth today’s waiting time. And that’s the minimum…!

I just started the Download (German Server) and just changed my VPN to Netherlands.
It just works fine now. So if you’re lucky to have a VPN - go for it!
I’m downloading at 11 MB/s and it’s almost done updating.
Good luck fellas!

They should give some compensation for this.

I’m using the windscribe method now and it appears to be working

After two hours the download finally went through. Hit the PLAY button and nothing happens… Seem to be going from one problem to another unfortunately
