Lag, poor performance, not updating, game becoming unplayable after scan and repair

Made a dragon. Wanted to log in, on INTRO VIDEO the whole game crashed. Game closed. I want to reopen it. Initializing.
Been trying to fix it for hours, and made the mistake of delete all my WoW games to see if fresh install fixed it.

Same problem as almost everyone here. I uninstalled the battle.net launcher and now can’t reinstall. Stuck on Installing (0%), shambles.
Same here, cleared the Cache, re-installed battlenet (took forever) rebooted, turned off my AV. Rebooted my router. and just stuck on this Initializing 0%
I. Am. At a loss, here. I’ve tried many things:
- fixing the data index file
- reinstalling only the Battle Net app
- reinstalling WoW with partial deletion of the data files
And now, finally, I removed everything related to BattleNet, Blizzard, and World of Warcraft and started a new fresh install.
The progress bar below the Install/Update button is currently at Initializing (242/1006) with a creeping progression.
I’ll have to wait, I guess.
The weird thing is that even after removing BattleNet and the games folder, the launcher automatically adds Wow Classic to the update queue.
EDIT: I think it’s because I manually removed the _classic_ and _retail_ directories rather than uninstalling them from the BNet launcher?
My Boyfriend was home really early and could download his patch, I have to watch him play while my download is stuck on initializing for about 2 hours now

I am having same issues, tried all of the above, deleted cache, flushed DNS, restarted, rebooted with LAN connection not wifi, uninstalled battle.net (BAD IDEA DO NOT DO THIS) as it now wont re-install launcher. Leads me to believe it is an update server issue. Blizz need to blue post asap!

Same. Stuck at initializing for >20 minutes. Earlier at work I had 0 issues with updating, now that I’m home and wanted to finally play evoker I’m unable to ;_;

Same here, I’m gonna leave it overnight like this and find a movie to watch…
Tried basically everything as described above, reinstalling launcher/terminating process etc etc… Time to relax doing something else!

Been sat for ages waiting to update, thought I was going insane. None of my friends have this issue.
I have found some sanity on the front that it’s not just me.

Waited for an hour and the initializing part just stopped, had to press update again …
