Lol some people care about old world but noone visit it, its literaly empty on most high populated realms. There SOD/hardcore for old world on wotlk/tbc its allready gone.
Yea, the argument “Cata is bad because they changed the old world” is so funny coming from a player who is 24/7 sitting in Dalaran, and even cried about RDF coming out faster than intended, so he didn’t have to move even to Borean Tundra.

If you want wotlk then just lock xp and do icc on retail then? If you want old world just play vanilla? How does your argument sound to you? Northrend and outland are not changed on retail so just lock xp and do your quests?
As you probably figured out by now theres more to to it such as different raid dificulty, different class design etc. Cata is in fact way closer to wrath than retail.

I mean if cata gerbils wanna run on the wheel until dragonflight classic comes out why would that be a such problem, classic is 60 era and thats that, and i understand why people want era servers at least x1 for each exp, don’t understand why thats so hard for b to put out, people who are capping hard saying sitting in dala all day is what wotlk is should go play retail 
and people who cry about them wanting to sit in dala all day in wotlk will run to warmane or at least go to classic era

i’d rather have some fresh content in the game (even if it goes towards retail), then run ICC/play against trash pvp players with shadowmournes forever.
because after finishing your weekly 1-2 days of raiding there is not much to do.
pvp dead, dungeons dead, farming dead, bots everywhere… and the list continues → afking in front of dalaran well is the most interesting stuff to do in the game at the moment.
I love how you think you speak for everyone here lol Wrath is already a ghost town why would they even open WOTLK era realms? And no, people who play classic era are not the same people who play wotlk and vice-versa. And it’s also funny how you believe private WOTLK servers even have a big audience.
i mean there is fresh content for you on retail alot of daily stuff , raids, dungeons you should try it out, the way you describe your time playing as everything is dead expect botting which btw will never go away regardless of which wow server you play on has nothing to do with fresh content, to me it actually sounds like you have a time management problem if for you playing wow is just about sitting afk and “not much to do”, nothing related to palying the game tbh, i mean if wotlk stans are wailling in pain about a wotlk era servers and want to afk all day idc, and if cata mites want to gnaw at the new expac idc either, if only they will actually fix the rampant botting
yeah also cata will have fresh content which is nice 
since i’ve finished basically everything in the game (you can check my achievements).
my daily game is like
- spamming BG-s for 250k honorable kills (achievement in cata for bloodthirsty title).
- killing a single npc out of nowhere with like days of respawn time to get 5 rep towards bloodsail buccaneers to 999/1000
- waiting for some raids to reset to do again.
kinda boring.

obviously fresh content as in something that is not wotlk.

In first plac classic happened because people wanted option to Play on Blizzard servers not on private ones

great at least you understood basic statements, yeah most of the time when raids on cooldown, then i do pvp, and then i afk in dalaran as there’s nothing more to do in wotlk.
if you want to know my favourite place to afk in dala is in front of the well.
i don’t deny this, but the amount of those players are thin.
and sadly the numbers are not really there to prove that it is worth blizzard to spend more resources for a handful of true wotlk fans.
(that’s not just the fault of wotlk enjoyers, but blizzard as well. sadly the playerbase is already way too fragmented)
