Doing level 39 quests and killing green level mobs (to them) at level 45…
I feel like I never met a person in anniversary who doesn’t use rested xp (excluding gankers)

I never used a leveling guide, restedXP or otherwise, and yet I was doing exactly that. In order to maximize my reputation gain from levelling, I did every single zone in game, in ascending order of recommanded level. So I was always 7-10 levels above the content I was doing. It wasn’t exactly challenging, but doing dungeons while outlevelling the final boss by a couple levels sure was a novel experience.
When asking in guild, maybe one third of players admitted to using any levelling guide, while well over half (myslef included) said they never even considered such a thing. Some people said they tried, but the “optimal” paths were so crowded, they gave up and went their own way or spammed dungeons.

Nothing wrong with using restedxp. I used it on old era but not fresh era.
But there might be other reasons to do lower lvl quest.
Sometimes it might be a chain quest for exampel. Or you play warrior and have hard time do same lvl quests😅

Paid for addons are against ToS
AND I DONT CARE ABOUT IT BEING A GREY AREA WHERE THE ADDON IS TECHNICALLY FREE BUT YOU PAY FOR THE DATA

Who the hell even needs a guide to get from 1 to 60 anyways. It’s a passive effect of doing stuff in the game!?
I also cleared out lower level zones to minmax the rep gains, it makes questing so much easier.

Well its the fastest way to gain 1-60 out there and most players want 60 asap☺️
And it shows what item to save and it takes chain quests that might be uknown for players.
But nothing stopping ppl to make a own guide and sell or not☺️
And its grey arena beavuse addon is free, but guides outside addon is not and will be impossible to ban.
You can sell privatley. Also if you ban guides then i guess you could argue that papermade guides should also be illegal to sell. Etc.
I do no use rxp myself, but dont care if ppl do.

Meanwhile I’m seeing lvl 39 lvl people in Un’goro…
I leveled both alliance and horde many times without it but with that guide i found some new interesting tricks and paths. So it is fun addon if you already leveled by yourself to learn something new. Only downside of it is that people rely on it too much and are unable to alter from guide in case mobs are highly farmed

No such thing as “Fresh Era” - It is either Era, the one and only, or short term rat-race projects like “Anniversary” or “Season of Discovery”.
While these two and more will come and go, Era will remain, timeless.
In any case, appreciate a post that is about something else than “Bots, RMT, GDKP or gimme this that”.
Refreshing.

If you see me in Un’Goro in my late 30s it’s only bc i am an fp-nerd and i want to get them asap. Any time when i am bored of questing but don’t wanna log off i go find me another fp.

Is this rested xp an addon or smthn or do you mean the restedbxp in on thr hame from an inn or city.
Its the frst ive heard of it if its some strange addon.
To my way of play here we go…
I lvl til i hit the preverbial wall of " your not gnna kill beat this boss"
So then i say ok dungs it is or ill find an area to grind til my hearts content.
Thats how i lvl and i research where is best to be even if i am 4 lvls higher i get xp which means i lvl up and thats the point of xp ofc.
Itd have been nice if back in the day blizz created a more linear way to lvl instead of having a lvl 10 zone bordered with a lvl 40 one, now yh there are mountains splitting them but thats not rly the point you literally have lakeshire next to burning steppes hell theres a path right thru to it.
I suppose in a world type manner it makes sense to have the zones layout as it is but its somtimes of christ time when you end up running into stiches in dw at lvl 21.
He will literally 2 hit you.
