So funny. It’s like you don’t understand that it’s all the same poeple playing two different versions of the same game. What ? you think suddenly there is this vast expanse of untapped players that just happened to play Classic. AND all those playing the proper game just gave up and went and did other things.

Where does anyone imply this? What I said does not contradict this.

But my guess is that there is going to be an announement soon and it will spark the same players mucking around with Classic to log into the current game for fear of falling behind.

Literally nobody of about 30 people I play with gives a sh1t about new retail content.

Bfa has more players in pure numbers, but fewer of those log in during prime time?
And in Classic it’s the other way around, fewer players but who all try to play at the same time?
Amirigth?
And them BfA have more continents, more zones, more servers, more max level players?
And this all leads to BfA feeling of empty when not in Boralus or on Full servers; and in Classic to the feeling of full to crowded in most places - even on medium pop servers?

@Hyperbole: That is very close to how I see things. I will add one more detail. Based on limited information, it would seem that those who play Classic, play much longer periods (and specifically to a later point at night). On BfA realms, activity declines rapidly after about 21:30 server time, but on Classic realms the numbers stay high much longer. This might be caused by the fact that Classic really is not yet out of the initial levelling phase.

@All: I really wish I had a functioning CP (and perhaps CPC, too) to check on things, but unfortunately Bringoutyourdead’s efforts are going slowly. Apparently Balgair is betatesting a somewhat functioning version of CP, but it is not fit for general release.

You know what? I am rly into wow. I can tell you every little detail about lore and so on. I have to say it pulls me to find out more about new lore, but in the other way I just don’t care that much as I should. I play that Classic wow and it realy fills me up. I was a big collector of mounts and so on at retail. But I can say I can throw it behind if they make TBC or WOTLK cause those were the best. I can throw all my 300+ mount’s and it woun’t bother me. Cause now, for first time in a long time I don’t feel alone in the game. And If I will change my mind and want to check new content, I will just go that easy LFG, give it those 10 hours and get back. Cause that (Classic) is now the game I realy feel love for. Light forgive me

Ok I haven’t played retail in a while and am enjoying classic a lot, but;

• Thunderhorn/Wildhammer are pretty low pop realms (Mograine really high)
• Players are more spread out in retail due to many more zones
• Bfa has little fun lasting content atm
• Classic is still new and hype

It’s better to look at the numbers in 2 years and u should pick a realm like Outland or AD instead of low pop thunderhorn

I hope current WoW gets better I really do, maybe Classic will be the wakeup call they need to make more beneficial changes to WoW.

This I hope too. It’s fun to play a new game with new things to discover that’s also extremely enjoyable. I like finding new quests and exploring new areas. But right it’s a lot world quests and that gets old fast, even though I like the system in itself. It’s just being overused to hell and back, which is boring.

You can’t trade a story moving on for world quests, blizzard. I know it’s more work but in the end people come back for more story, not for farming the same things until they become suicidal. Do we have to paint a pentagram in our blood to summon beelzebob so we can tell him? Because he doesn’t seem to get it.

edit: Nevermind, I’m sure I just need to sacrifice a chart to summon the whole of activision. It’s in the grand grimoir of pain, suffering and whaling, aka the bible for the shareholder.
