Amoriel’s battlegear is steel, enchanted to be lighter and slightly stronger than unenchanted steel and lacquered in red and gold. When he’s off the battlefield, but still needed for healing immediately after the fight, he pulls off the gauntlets, chestplate, and pauldrons and works in the shirt he wears underneath.
His battlegear was actually a gift from his brother, and was a “subtle” hint to stop getting stabbed quite so much in fights.
His cloak doesn’t actually have any cool stuff about it. I honestly just picked it OOC because the chestplate makes it look like it’s draped over his chest.
Mysterious and ancient Gurubashi mask crafted by some long dead master artist. It’s not carved, but laminated and was steamed into shape. It’s lightweight and comfortable.
He has different styles of headdress too depending on the occasion, like a fan of feathers on formal occasions, but for field deployments and other excursions, it’s worn in a (comparatively) more practical plume. Right now it looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/xdJszfx.png
He’s a healer and not really a front line one at that so his only real concession to armour is a very plain, scale mail hauberk made of steel. It’s mostly concealed by his tabard and cloak.
His only offensive capability really is bottles of liquid fire and a sling to lob them with.
Thanks, Kump.
Recently underwent an OOC class change, from rogue to shaman (though she was and is, neither IC… as OOC implies, heh).
As a result most of her current gear is handcrafted and a few have quite dark origins. Her shield is flayed and tanned leather from a sentiment person stretched over wood which itself was enchanted/enhanced to resist spells and such in a voodoo ritual. A bit grotesque I suppose but why play a Troll if you can’t embrace the darker aspects of their culture. It’s then decorated with various external trinkets and such around the edges and on the ‘tusks’.
Her mask is a stylised mask designed around a serpent theme, otherwise it’s not got anything special to it - it glows unfortunately but not much I can do about that, it’s how blizz made it.
The rest doesn’t have an origin as such, not yet anyway. Not even sure if I’ll keep the shoulders and trousers, I like them but the trousers especially break the look a bit.
Neshandre here uses standard-issue Saronite battleplate. It is not overly heavy, but not really light either. As she was a priestess of the moon in life and is pious even in undeath, it not only has been adorned with skulls and the usual stuff, but religious texts have been etched into the plate.
Her weapon is Kal’Elune (Darnassian for “Star of Elune”). A rather nimble two-handed sword she uses since 14,000 years. Only recently was she able to reclaim it. The sword is ancient and has been reforged into a runeblade, but she was careful not to remove the doxologies engraved on the blade.
Regular steel, no enchants, no magic. Underneath the steel breastplate and gauntlets he wears a blackened chainmail and his leather dark furred boots are protected by steel plates in front and strapped at the back.
He forged his own weapon, Maraghast, out of a combination of steel and saronite after the incursion at Light’s Hope because what was given to him by the Scourge carried the burden of many unjustified deaths. I really like making stories for armors and weapons because this character is so tied to the battlefield it would be weird not to have any.
Well my character is contracted (bailed out of the stockades and contracts signed by persons unknown to look convincingly like hers) , so she was given a basic set of leather armour to wear on missions/deployments, which fits the character she has to play (yes I am roleplaying a character that has to roleplay a character profile they have been given) – namely Nithsethel when out in public goes under the persona of The Purple Princess and is expected to act in character. When she goes to publicity events which are used to promote the services and bring in work for the organisation then she is provided a more expensive costume to wear which is much more purple and includes a set of illusionary void elf wings, but she is not allowed to wear that into combat as its far to expensive to risk being damaged. She is allowed to purchase her own combat armour, but as the pay is pretty low its going to take her some time to save up for anything decent.
Eridu wears an extremely tough, dark leather armor and two demon skulls on his shoulders which are thick and sturdy and their tusks serve as an extra pair of weapons. The skulls are a mighty trophy from the Legion invasion, worthy of a true Bloodtotem like himself.
In bear form he wears no armor because duh, why would a strong bear with a fur as tough as iron wear armor?
Dark leather armour with metal plates over the vital bits, along with a hood lined with chainmail. For a weapon, she uses a one-handed sword and offhand spellcasting.
I like the idea of dual-classing a paladin and rogue to make a sort of holy assassin build.

As Ranfel is in the north most of the time, a set of fur-lined armour is very practical. Being a mixture of leathers, furs and plate, it’s bulkier and heavier than plain old leather armour, but not quite as heavy and cumbersome (and by extension, protective) as full plate. Heavy armour would be impractical when you spend most your time off the beaten track anyhow.
Well in the mercenary (read: hunter class) days of her youth, Minnie donned the classic Goblin Sapper garb and a snazzy repeater rifle - snazzy in that it only exploded maybe twice a week, which was pretty reliable…

Whereas now she’s “retired” (or more to the point, off the radar) it’s all about keeping up appearances for the client! So fancy(ish) silks and a hidden flintlock are more the norm. But there’s always exceptions if the price is right…
Prime flesh hide, predator claws, and bones held together with tar and bark strips.
Tuskless troll skulls held against the armour each with blue coloured symbols adorning them in honor of Bwonsamdi.
A vulctures skull as a helm!
Prime gorrila hide, tar coated cloth, wood, held together with tree sap and vines. Golden parts are painted, not real gold! Helm is that of a raptor.
Doctor Paxley Bingham is a great many things, but unprepared is not one of them.
Currently sporting his Gnomish Isotopic Mutation Protection suit, affectionately known as the GIMP suit (he to this day wonders why it brings so many chuckles). A throwback from his early days working in the halls of Gnomeregan attending to triage and radiation sickness, it smells like a leather couch drowned in chlorine. It affords fabulous protection from most forms of radiation, poison and other infectious hazards. The leather is thick enough for it to provide some protection versus blunt force and kinetic impact, but admittedly not a great deal. It’s his go-to outfit when out and about in unfamiliar hostile locales due to his ever cautious nature (and the fact he thinks it is a style that never fades out of fashion). It’s proved extremely useful when sampling some goo and gunk from the Outflow with hopes to provide some new pharmaceutical reagents.
His non combat attire is a simple collared jacket with too many pockets, and trousers that claim the same, all to hold his various medical tools, tinctures and whatnot. He usually wears such with standard issue medical goggles atop his head which have various magnifying lenses on them to allow him to work on small wounds with precision. This outfit is not suitable for combat at all however.

Well! Nythaedon doesn’t quite wear too much. He believes in connection to the natural world and being one with it. Therefore, he basically only wears a kilt. The kilt was woven by himself a looong time ago, and over time various spores and vines have intermingled into it.
Upon his head is a ornament with a few druidic runes carved in, along with a gem.
His shoulders started as mere wooden shoulder plates, and over time they have become overgrown with all kinds of stuff, plants, fungi, etc.
He is bare-chested and should the need for protection arise, he will cover himself in something akin to bark.
Now! Nyth also carries two different relics of his past. One is a scythe, to symbolise harvest and fall. Harm. While the other is his humble staff of healing, used to mend and to support his aged body. (I’ll see if I can’t go more in-depth once I get to a PC!)

Lochton usually carries himself through a life of war, chaos and wealth while wearing his business suit. When things get a little too close to combat, he will haul out a battle harness for tools, weapons and tinkers.
