I got my first ever piece today on Argent Dawn EU; had the mail helm drop - been doing it on 5 or 6 chars each week
Still nothing for me.
Over 60 kills and not a single piece.
It is dropping but probably at a ridiculously low rate, literally one item for a single player from ten full raids.
Can confirm that boss drops loot, got legs on my guardian druid and legs on my warlock this week, 2 x gear out of 36 kills in total
They drop loot?:o
Iâve never seen loot from these tall people. Weird. I just assumed at this point it was an annoyingly long world quest
The fact that they have a whole dedicated support page dedicated to this world boss not dropping loot tells you everything you need to know. They donât want to fix it, they know people arenât getting loot. It keeps you on the hamster wheel.

Over 70 kills now and still nothing.

Is there some secret?
Do you have to kill them both within a few seconds or something?
Every group Iâve been in has off-tanked one and burned the other down and then killed the second one minutes later.
Does it have to be done in a special way to get gear?
Normally, just completing the quest drops the loot.
If thereâs nothing esoteric here, and this is not bugged and working as intended, then this is completely mental.
Iâm going to farm something with a much higher drop chance like Tusks of Mannoroth or something.
Yeah I donât get it, killed it on multiple characters and zero loot. Not even any rep, just some fragments that I donât need. Not actually sure why these elders exist.
Yeah, I have never gotten any items from this boss. I canât remember seeing anyone getting any drops either.
Itâs funny how this is still an on going issue after months. Just killed it again right now on multiple chars, no one in any raid got any loot.
I love how when I kill it, the Purple Quest marker is still displaying I need to defeat the elders, when I already did. On top of that, no gear drops.
Loot from these mobs is awarded using the personal loot/loot pushed into bags system. This has been coded, in this case, to not show in the loot log. Drop rate is also pretty low too.
Well. I did it again this week on 13 chars. That makes 80 to over 90 kills and not a single gear drop.
A few weeks, I only did it once at the beginning of the week and at the end to see if it was fixed. Some have done it more than me.
It wasnât until later that it seemed it was dropping only very rarely, maybe 1/100 or lower chance.
I did see someone in a group say they got a drop five minutes earlier.
It really looks like it is bugged and the tech folk canât or wonât
fix it.
The gear not showing in chat is confirmed but is still not fixed. If it is fixed, that is even worse. It would mean that I have seen thousands do this and not seen a single drop.
The other possibility is that the drop chance that would give one a drop once every two years per character is intended and not a mistake.
If that is the case, it would be a first and would be absurd.
Anyway you slice it, this is incompetence.
Iâve played this game a long time and have never seen anything like this.
Before servers went down in EU, I managed to do Elders on 2 toons - both got loot ⊠Before that I have run Elders on 12 lvl 70 each week = 100âs of runs with no loot.
Seems fixed.

got loot on both attempts today, and itâs the first time.
Same, 4 kills, 4 items drop pushed via personal loot. I could still loot their corpses for gold, which is weird. I got 415 ilevel items however, did you guys get that as well? The adventure guide has them listed as 421.
Edit: Also, the chat does not list items on the loot table looted for anyone else. It shows greys/greens, but not their actual drops (if anyone got loot that is, but it would be absurd if I was the only one to receive loot 4 times)
Same here on all points.
2 for 2 so they have been lying for 2 months saying it wasnât bugged.
Also got 415 gear instead of 421. Iâve gotten dozens of 415 gear from suffusion camps and researcher events, so itâs still bugged.
Also, my drop still doesnât show in chat, nor anyone elseâs.
Servers down most of yesterday and two weeks ago.
I had to spend an hour refarming orb of the feel temptress even though I had it before the patch. They couldnât migrate it into the new barbershop mechanic.
In Mechagon, the open world mobs are lvl 60 now and in the Mechagon dungeon they are 50.
Iâm just pulling my hair out at the madness thatâs going on. Iâve not only never seen Wow this bad before, but have never seen any game this bad.

Thanks for the fresh reports and your continued observations, itâs been really helpful to get this looked into further!
Just to recap weâre currently investigating three distinct, but somewhat related issues here:
- In contrast to previous reports that loot wasnât dropping at all, it seems to now be dropping at an unintendedly high rate
- Loot received by other raid members is not displayed in the loot log (which understandably muddles things further)
- The actual loot received is lower item level than it should be
Thanks again for your assistance in reporting this and hopefully any underlying issues can finally be resolved soon now.
I guess Blizzard did something to revert this, it seems itâs back to the no-loot-state. Purely circumstantial and poor proof, but Iâve killed them on 4 chars in close to full raid groups and the players who spoke up when asked, reported zero loot (from the loot table).
