Alterac Valley Adjustments Incoming

these changes make it like it was on pservers, and av premades worked fine on pservers. Except its easier cuz 5 man q

Indeed they are fixes as you would see on pservers. Simple and effective without touching anything important.

they aren’t effective fixes though

Only time will tell. I would be careful to assume more knowledge of this than Blizzard as some people in here.
If - in the worst case - these adjustments do not work as intended for some reason then we will likely get even more adjustments. Or worse.

Have you played AV on Monday and tueseday ?? its like kiloing ally bots

Actually it will change quite a lot.

  1. WSG is already worth more honor for horde when queues are around 10 minute mark (or lower ofc) and AV queues are 20+
  2. If you think that 10% kill DR change is not a lot you might to think it again, it’s especially good for WSG
  3. Ally pugs will no longer start majority of matches 5 vs 40

I agree on one point, it won’t change much for alliance premades, they will still get into AV as premade majority of time even if they have to bench few people every now and then.

The ally pop almost got wiped out due to open world pvp. This was predicable and had happened previously on private servers.

They allowed the remaining ally players to transfer off before the comunity and streamers repeatedly pointed out the negative effects.

Apparently fighting in the middle was the correct way of playing AV. An MMO needs several aspects like raids, pvp, dungeons, etc. Turning pvp into a gank fest in the middle is not helping the game.

Classic without #NOCHANGES is going to be just another retail. Ive already started to look for an alternative to wow. Dont know why I thought these people would be able to keep their promise.

By my experience, players who cannot endure or adapt to ganking, even when it is massively one-sided - are not suited to play this game. At least not long term.

I agree that classic without nochanges would suck. However, so far there are few exceptions. None after launch.

Most of ppl will adapt how they can.
Gamer dads like me, or casuals all the same, will prob reroll completly at some point.
Was smart enough to make horde toons.
)
Other will adapt differently.
Some will adapt in the way they quit or go to pve server.
)
I like horde faction it reminds me of fallen heroes.
Edit: forgot heart

then we will never know which horde are suited to play this game, because they don’t experience anywhere near the amount of ganking alliance endures

Man, you play horde on shazzrah and you talk about adapting to getting ganked? What are you on about?

I do not think so. The horde players of this kind may have a slightly longer attention span because they are carried by the larger mass of players. But something will make them quit sooner or later. There is always something.

I try to think outside my own bubble when considering these things. I play on Shazzrah because it was one of the three realms open on name reserve. I play horde on a whim. I also love alliance.

Well you kinda don’t make sense. I mean…you play horde on one of the most horde favoured realms there is and you say that you have to adapt to ganking in order to play the game. How many deaths does it take you to get to DM, not even gonna ask for BRM? It took me about 15 this morning to enter DME to do my lasher runs…

Usually takes 0 deaths for me. :stuck_out_tongue:
Before battlegrounds, when we had all the outdoor pvp, there were some horde ragequitting hard because some alliance had the upper hand somewhere for a few hours. Even with the population imbalance.

These guys can be found on both sides. They have varying degree of low patience. Their usual way to fix problems is to smash against it until something gives (0 adaptability). Sooner or later they give. The downsides are not worth the upsides to them.

Nobody forced them to leave. People are lazy, afraid of taking initiative and deciding to play solo the game which isn’t really supposed to be played solo in open world.
So yeah, alliance take some initiative and start gathering up instead of crying for peace. Some person in another topic told and I completely agree that it’s mentality. Horde - evil, so people who want to PvP chose this faction. Alliance - peace, people who are more peaceful tend to chose this faction. This game is not about peace, and not about playing solo. How many times have you went to the BRD, UBRS, DM with group together? Not many right? How many times have you died? Too many right? You see my point?
And please don’t tell me - oh then more horde comes and stuff like that. Going with a group, farming duo instead of solo, questing with people would cut your deaths count drastically.

Yes use brains and stop playing this game as singleplayer game… Enjoy PvP as much as alliance? What PvP? AV was PvE for you with nearly 0 kills every game… 20 HK / 40 = 0.5 kills per person per game in 40v40. About what PvP on alliance side are you talking?

If 0 horde apply too wsg and only AV who you gonna fight with?

And the chances of that happening are…zero.

Actually good changes , unfortunately for ME and i imagine others like me that cant participate in a good WSG premades due to working shifts and nature of their irl jobs WSG would still be not good for us solo queuers cause noone would play them outside premades or strong 5s party. Please along with the changes make the honor from wsg somewhat equal to AV so the general pvp player base shifts there and get full on solo queuers along with premades resulting in 7 out of 10 games are randoms vs randoms.
