Alterac Valley Adjustments Incoming

LMAO … grand marshal = " look i live in wow and has no real life" , has nothing to do with how good you actually are. If ur good ur good if not you are not , this tittle is not like arena tittles its just representation of your ingame time and nothing more. You might be really good and u might aswell suck big time. Cya pink bubble boy.

For me the ability to queue as a group means when playing with others there’s no longer having to pick a specific battle and basically keeping our fingers crossed we get into it. I’m liking that change. I pvp for the fun of it. I don’t care about ranking as there’s no way I’m going to have the time per week to be playing the game. With chars of AV level I’ve found it to be about 50/50 split so far between a decent lengthy game and five minute zergfest, both with around 30 minute queue. It’ll be interesting to see if/how that changes. Ditching cross realm would benefit me in that respect as I play on ZT which has more Alliance and I’m sure there’s just as many Alliance players as Horde that miss the old long AV battles.

Yeah, takes about 15 deaths with a 40 man t2/t1 raid…so yeah, it’s not always a gitgud or manageable situation. But who cares anyway…

so you dont step up when horde overpopulates servers but you step up for AV?

They might be working on a solution - we don’t know.
I doubt it, but I hope so too

These will only be improvements if you deal with the honor leeching bots and the account sharing that is impacting ranking.

its only impacting ranking on horde.

account sharing premades are impacting alliance

not rly no. you think they account share, they don’t. people on my server reach 1.6 million honor early afternoon on saturday. thats higher than BR1 cap on pretty much every server. And they are not account sharing… They do however play 30h + shifts.

if BR1/2/3 on alliance are not account sharers, how exactly is account sharing affecting them?

You seem to be misunderstanding some huge differences here.

There’s a massive difference between the sizes of the matchmaking pools.

A pserver’s matchmaking pool was only a couple of thousand, at best. During the entire day.
Classic’s matchmaking pool, with this massive xrealm garbage, is many times more than that and fluctuates more throughout each day.

This has a fundamental impact on the trickery involved to run premades in AV.

Plus, the puzzle sizes won’t be uniform anymore. Basically, a matchmaking system takes units, and matches them together by using a lot of hidden metrics under the hood.

So when all units are the same size, these metrics to psuedo-randomly assort them makes it require less of you to succeed in getting premades into the same AV.

But now when these puzzle pieces won’t be the same sizes any longer, but more randomly sized like, 1 unit consisting of 1 player here, another unit consisting of 3 players there, so on and so forth, this has a fundamental impact on the average queue time which is a huge metric which decides priority levels in when to get matched.

Basically you’ll have a harder time because this isn’t a pserver, and there are 37 other servers in the same matchmaking pool as you, that you can end up in the same team with.

To illustrate an example, it’s like the matchmaking system is solving identical puzzles all day, but now with large differences in sizes of the pieces.

Plus, they won’t exactly come out and tell you when they mess with the hidden metrics. They could make it so each new BG team will always have a unit of at least 2 players, matched with at least 5 solo units, and one 5-man unit for example.

There are many things they can do to impede your trickery from now on.

their aren’t that many premades queuing, and we have spies in all of them, so its quite ez for us to know if our q got mixed with theirs. more often than not though, we do not q at the same time, so it has 0 impact on us. what you are saying though is that horde queues will be affected … so thats cool i guess.

That… isn’t even close to what I was talking about.

ok so how does poolsize matter if no one is in q because pop is instant?

Just because it’s instant, it doesn’t mean it’s empty.

blizzard doing this because wow classic streams are in decline. they need to make couple of streamers happy so they can make investers happy.

With everystep blizzard f*cked classic up.

#nochance was a stupid idea from the start. People wanted the old content not the buggy, imbalanced classes/specs/spells.

Blizzard should’ve treated this like real game, instead they toyed with subscribers.

Classic needed real improved class, race and spec changes so people could really enjoy the game, and its content. Right now 70% of classes are mages. 70% of horde and 70% of those hordes are undead mages or orc warriors.

And when i look at the retail version of the game, its no better than asian mmorpgs. Shiny spells, unlimited mana for casters.

Some good changes but NOTHING about the truly horrible afk/bot situation on alliance side. Let me help you. If someone does not score 5-10% of top dps or healing from top player during AV they get no honor from the event.

Do something, theres sometimes 20+ “players” that do nothing resulting in alliance being outnumbered everywhere on the map…

It will be better next week.

Why ? Because at the moment, you have all the lowest player and bots/fisher/afk into Alliance pugs, while the good players are in premade.

Next week, everyone will be merged. You’ll have good game.
