I’m not sure why you are attributing that quote to me.
Like i said avg. Your numbers also avg. Not everyone getting the same wages.
even in the other places of war within there is not one single bott that doing skinning. because the best gold per hour is in that zone and botts cant do anything there so they go for herb and mining
It’s a good farm spot for players. There are plenty of 2x4 farm groups and the bee mount farm itself too.
my friend im trying to say there are ways to stop them for ever and this example that i gave you is one of them
those 2x4 are players not botts
A friend made a fortune just selling all mats and having gathering profs on all alts he levelled at the start.
I hoard all my mats for my own chars
This is why I’ll always be poor in WoW
I have been summoned so I’ll drop my archive on this matter.
Since this subject comes back often I’ve made a sourced template with commonly asked Q&A if you want to read up more about it:
https://www.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/dev-vanguard-x-lol/
Do other games like Runescape or CSGO also “benefit” from allowing (aim)bots, using them for inflating sub counts or purchases?
Some accounts also get stolen with phishing methods or used with fraudulent credit cards, that incur chargeback merchant fees for Blizzard. The “paid” amount plus penalty costing Blizzard a lot more not to mention the damage the botters do ingame.
But wait “credit card fraud doesnt exist for games!!” Some people forget, that Visa stopped processing payments for Runescape because the occuring fraud was just that extreme at a certain point in history.
One of their last public numbers revealed close to 271k banned in December 2023 alone. I don’t think it was even the majority of them.
Another poster mentioned they remove bots every few days after a report. They return ofcourse, proving that instant bot removals isn’t going to work.
Video 2 in this post mentions that the alternative to chargeback or stolen account type frauds is “currency fraud” where they pretend to be in that region and buy very low currency accounts to bot onto.
There’s no game so far on a similar scale that has a solution. This problem is literally everywhere and anti-cheat development has yet to outpace the illegal bot development.
If you have any good ideas don’t forget to submit them through the ingame suggestion box!
then its precisely the point my friend
If I ve a colleague in my country who plays wow, he can buy a token in 0.4hours of job work
or another in the poorest country can get it for 4.2h - 5h ~
and the normal player who dont want to pay for playing is going to spent days for having same things than swippers.
Even in bulgaria or in my country, this is stupid to farm days, maybe weeks, with your salary ratio when you can just swip for 0.4-5h job salary
I really thought I was crystal clear when I said ‘it’s a good farm spot for players’, both 2x4 and bee farming groups are players.
In my opinion, botters always find a way. And to combat them good would limit the player a lot.
For example;
No more money transfer between players
No more trade between players
No more exceptional prices on the AH, only max % above vendor price
No more selling gold for RL currency, only buy token for gold.
But this would never happen.
Thank you!!!
You’re the best!!!
i think you didnt read my answer about what that zone did
You feel it stopped botting but it’s not a part that bots would use until later in the expansion. There was nothing vague about what I wrote.
However, I’m yet to see any actual suggestion that will help combat botting, I don’t mean you personally, just in general. Unless you go for extreme measures that will just kill the game for everyone.
you are dodging.
i said the design of that zone is in a way that botts cant go there and do botting at all. even if they want to.
They can’t go to one particular place set up with elites, I’m not dodging anything. That does not stop the rest of that zone having leather, or the rest of the expansion zones. Every expansion has elite areas for end game/world quest/mount farms etc.
and i even told you that botts will never do botting for leather in any other place of war within because they are looking for the best gold per hour and the best is in the bee zone that they cant do botting.
instead they go botting in herbalism and mining
Simply create a char on my realm (Thrall EU), and I will send it to you via mail, including a letter detailing that it was paid as a result of this forum thread, so that there is ingame proof linking directly back to this thread, for a gamemaster that might view it as suspicios to be able to see should you get a ban for the trade so that it can be easily appealed.
You can get banned for using one, that much is true, but that´s more than anything else a result of Botters simply using the same VPN and therefore displaying the same IP address.
Botting is to make gold, ofc they will always go for whatever is optimal.
This is not because of one elite area in TWW. This is because of the market value of the goods.
Yeah forget what i wrote about VPN but i saw several youtube videos about how botters are using VPN from outside North America and Europe to earn passive income.
VPN is not illegal to use in WOW.
https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/wow-classic-and-vpn/98754/3
So if they banned use of VPN would that fix the bot problem?
