This is such a dumb point.
Why would botting only be effective when you got faster queues?
The PvP system doesn’t make you compete against the other faction, it’s against your own faction.
I thought those shoulders you’re wearing are PvP ones, maybe you bought the account because you’d surely know how the system works if you’ve gotten to Rank10+ before.
And we DO have bots and AFK’ers on Horde side too. Trust me man, I’ve got 90k honor kills and hit Warlord rank.
I’ve seen plenty of them around to know it’s a problem affecting both sides and not just the Alliance side.
Because an Alliance bot runs AV over and over again due to instant queues where as a Horde bot would have over an hour queue for AV and have to queue for WSG/AB - botting in WSG/AB is a lot less efficient because 9 v 10 is a lot more severe than 39 v 40 so the H/PH would be terrible. Not only that as you quite correctly said ranking is against your own faction and Horde are the most played faction and this means more people ranking and more competition for places in brackets with higher bracket caps. In general this makes ranking on Horde a lot harder than ranking on Alliance.
Also I didn’t say you had NO bots or AFKers I said it was LESS severe than on Alliance.
Really? Cus that’s kinda my take away from them patching it out.
But sure, keep telling yourself it wasn’t cheating, you dirty cheater.
So does that mean your take away from Blizzard back in the day was that AV was Horde favored and they had map advantage since they moved the horde starting cave back during TBC?
Read the rest of the thread if you’re wondering about details.
But simply put, it was because the distance to the first enemy node mattered a lot more because of reduced capture time, removal of elites, and the implementation of reinforcements as a win condition.
They had already made it so players wouldn’t respawn in the caves until all of the faction’s graveyards have been lost in patch 2.3.0. And it’s not an advantage to fight closer to the enemy graveyard, according to every single Alliance player complaining about AV.
The cave was moved in 2.4.0, and that change had literally NOTHING to do with respawns.
To the people saying Blizzard fixed Alliance AV premades because Horde cried: Did you guys solo queue as alliance in December 2019?
I did a lot of solo queuing with this warrior, and I can tell you IT SUCKED!
We would start many games as 20ish people because the premaders would drop queue so they could get a perfect or near-perfect setup of 3-4 tanks, 8 healers and rest dps. Moreover, some of those 20ish people on alliance side would be leechers or bots. Now imagine how you could stand a chance against a full horde team. By the time we got 40 alliance players in the battleground, we would be pushed back to Stormpike or the cave.
There was a bunch of alliance players outraged at the sorry state of this battleground. Even some of the premaders hated the current meta because it allowed everyone to grind ridiculous amounts of honour and pushed the brackets over the top.
Alliance also cried. Blizzard heard both sides and fixed the queue.
Please don’t try to promote your narrative of how Blizzard is horde biased and only fixes things detrimental to the horde.
