It’s not really a problem on retail thougj because large scale pvp basically doesn’t happen
Except when it does happen.
This is very true, their answer was sharding. You’d hope a solution could be found, it’s an irony that modern day servers do struggle with multiple clients within a zone.
Yes Captain Obvious, and with a server population of 2500-4000, like it used to be, it would still be that.
But you are confused with your pirate style 10k+ frankenservers.
So if i understand you correctly you stay in this “terrible game” because you have to pay a monthly fee?
That is some fine logic you got going there son.

Excuse me, what? lol
If there actually are any problems with server performance (i never encountered any), it is probably on the overpopulated PvP servers. And that would basically prove my point that this game isn’t designed for the way they abuse it on pirate servers.
Even what few PvE servers we have are overpopulated. And it will become even worse after layering is gone.
But i can wait and so can the real Vanilla fans, who know you only need 5 players to do the biggest and most important part of the game, not 5000 or 10.000.
What a bogus argument. If anything, the next expansion seems to be a relatively good one for those that enjoy that type of play. Good enough anyway to ensure that Classic servers will be here to stay for a long time to come.
Meanwhile i hope the pirate server type fans are frustrated to oblivion with their sheer numbers crushing the servers they attached themselves onto. May they leave and never come back again.
Patience is a virtue. ![]()
Laugh all you want but World of Warcraft Classic isn’t Eve Online. Never will be either. ![]()
So we’re not allowed to enjoy WPvP because you don’t consider it a part of the game?
lolwat.
So we’re not allowed to enjoy WPvP because you don’t consider it a part of the game?
Now where did i say that? ![]()
lolwat.
Indeed. ![]()
It wasn’t the “pirate server” masses that quit the game - you quit the game. It won’t be hardcore guilds like APES who mostly cause these events that quit because of the lag. It will be players like myself who happen to be there without being part of the raids.
The hardcore are always more tolerant of technical issues than the less hardcore players are. They are also the ones that build raids to PvP over world bosses.
40v40+ world pvp still happens on a 2k5 pop server, you mongoloid
Once again Shogath is making a complete fool out of himself, poor guy imagine if your brain works the way it does like this shill, forum troll
World bosses that require raids to kill activly encourage large scale wpvp. The game was designed to reward fighting for open world objectives that require 40 people to down. So obviously these objectives even on medium/low pop serverd will attract multiple guilds from both factions competing. When a game cant handle the events it strives to create then their is a problem
with more resources than the whole of Germany
… of course!
So what happens if while trying to kill a world boss there is a group of 40 horde fighting 40 alliance while trying to kill the boss.
Because if this happens how it is currently the entire zone pretty much freezes until most people are dead.
This has nothing to do with 1000s of people. Just a tiny 2 raids makes it lag to all hell. So your argument is invalid.
And more than 2 raids will be competing for world bosses
