BoE Epic in dungeon

Fine, if I win it you can pay me 12g to have it. Think of me as a rare vendor.

You should be embarrassed to even use that fake of an argument. Believe it or not, BoEs and BoPs are different.

Option 1 or 3 are my go-to’s.

Following that logic, no they aren’t different, a BOP is still an item that has a non-zero worth for everyone in the group.

And if you’re going to argue that worth is not equal, you can easily imagine a scenario where the two valuations meet: i.e. Warrior and I agree on a fee to trade him the Iro…ehem… “sack of gold”, that would fall somwhere between the 6g it’s nominally worth to me and whatever valuation it’s worth to him.

Its not about having a non-zero worth, its about who needs it more. With BoEs people need it equally, with BoPs the value you’d get from vendoring it isn’t nearly close to the benefits of using it. With a few exceptions, of course, like Shadowstrike, for example, which is such a bad weapon people prefer to vendor it.

How do you trade a BoP?

big brain confirmed

But you know this is completely disingenious because he can’t just buy Ironfoe off AH for those 6 gold he vendors it for. Both because it’s BoP, you dummy, and also because if Ironfoe was BoE, it WOULD literally be a sack of gold worth probably over 500g at the very least. Come on, you can do better.

The idea is that you need so that it can’t be needed away by someone who won’t actually use it, and then if someone who really would use it wants it, you can always trade it. Need the plate so the priest can’t steal it without anyone else getting a chance to roll, but pass it to the warrior on request. That sort of thing. If someone greeds, you let them /roll and then trade it if they beat your actual roll.

Well, that’s an statement, but there is no reason given, so no further discussion is possible. If that’s what you were looking for, well then fine. Otherwise, pls elaborate a bit more

Something i didn’t asked, but what if it’s happen in raid ? Imagine you do a pug raid without any master loot or loot council, just the classic need/greed  . Sure it’s likely to not happen, but let imagine this situation.

Arcanist Binding drop (BoE wrist for Mage). 10 mage on the chat “YESSS”. What you will do ?

this is just pure retardation

Sure, just like anything else that doesn’t match your opinion, right?

He’s saying needing on a BoP item that’s worth 300g when there is a person for who it is BiS, to vendor it is acceptable…

If that isn’t greed i don’t know what is, but then again we argued about something similar before and your arguments make no sense to anyone with a grain of decency.

Yeah, we have argued about it, and you never managed to explain why you think gear is more important than gold. Maybe try this time?

Maybe that’s the difference then. I get your reasoning but it’s just not the way I perceive it. It’s an item to me, and if someone in the group actually needs it, grats to them, enjoy it! It does not translate into gold for me.

I dont think anyone whether if its an upgrade for them or not should get to have a 300g (or what ever it is going for on your sever) item in a pug, its a random drop, they haven’t gone there for that item so they cant claim it in my opinion, an item like that sells for a lot and can benefit everyone in the group towards an epic mount or something else.

raiding is different, u are with 40 people and who evers wins has to show he equiped it.

In a 5 man aprty ism uch more ez to get away with needing an item and not equiping it dcíng and selling it later on an alt.

The poster you replied to can’t be wrong - it’s a common factor in many responses - if you disagree you get called mentally impaired

That’s the way some folk roll - it’s sad - and we have to be mindful that many folk are silently dealing with mental health issues and no support network

So we should be forgiving

I always forgive folly in a child

4 ofc. Need is if your going to use the item. Greed is for selling. Thought everyone knew this.

You need and let the rogue pay you for it, double. People don’t like rogues.
