What’s so hard about retail? you can clear all content without burdening yourself with mythic stuff that is just an e-peen meter as much as forcing yourself doing MC in full greens.
in mc you dont wipe 500+ times to kill a boss, if you dont do mythic you dont beat the content
Yes I do. Mythic is just doing things harder because you want to flex it, it’s not a necessity because the gear you get from non-mythic raids is enough so that even pugs that do not communicate can easily kill an old god with laser beams.
lmao. are you delusional? I mean you can create all the artificial rules for yourself, yeah, but trying to force them on other people is pointless. Besides didn’t “pirate server playas” destroyed all the “pro retail players” upon Classic release? I’ll never forget the delicious tears when gnomes killed Ony with lvl 58 mages wearing green items. Not that I personally care about any of it. It is just fun to observe the “pve elitists” in a casual videogame.
I mean, what APES did is taking the tryharding to the next level, by investing a lot of time into the research. But it is still pointless. So, yeah, saying that mythic+ matters is like saying that you only beat Onyxia in Classic IF you’re a lvl 58 bald gnome in green items. Otherwise it doesn’t count.
probably you didn’t watched the stream then but only 5 player of method were present at their event, the rest of the guild (players like Fragnance, Gingi, Lorgok, Merees, Narco) dont have even classic installed. Most of the influencer that where present at that event are people that have a business contract with Method, or invited by the corp but are not players in the guild
(examples where Esfand, Tipsout, Kungen, Guzu, Kennymarsh. This where all invited but they are not part of Method guild roster)
but i guess this is to hard to comprend for someone that never won an arena when they came in TBC
I have no idea who any of those people are. But I have heard of APES. And I have heard of jokerd. That is how achieving works.
Well, it is clear by now that you’re just fanboi of some useless e-sport. That explains everything. Have fun.
Well it’s also clear that you are also biased as f, and a bad pvper that is still malding even today for the ICC rep ring.
Well it’s also clear that you are also biased as f
All the personal opinions are biased, Sherlock. But you don’t argue facts. Facts like jokerd was the first lvl60. Facts like APES were the first to clear Onyxia and Rag. Facts like… itemization is total bs in retail. And what backs that fact up, is the fact that the number of subs fell off the cliff after the WoTLK.
bad pvper
Not the worlds top mage, yeah. There is no objective measure, because there is no TBC/early WoTLK PvP yet. Plus, you also need a decent arena team. Then again, if your team is too good, you’re just being carried to the glad… And selling the services of carrying scrubs to the glad. So it is sometimes hard to say, who is bad and who is good. I usually judge the knowledge of the player, not by the shiny achievements. Plus, as usual, you miss the most important point of PvP in WoW - IT IS FUN. You can be a scrub in greens, queue the BG and still have fun in TBC and WoTLK. Why? Well, because you know, that even if you suck now, you’ll get better items later. Mechanical exectuion of Arenas, etc is something yet to be seen and experienced again. Then we’ll be able to judge.
that is still malding even today
I don’t know what it means.
ICC rep ring
ICC rep ring killed WoW. It killed one of the most important parts of the game back in the day - the Itemization. Forcing PvP players to do some dumb raid, even on normal, not even Heroic at first is just plain dumb. It is stupid. No wonder PvPers left the game for good. Let casuals have their PvE BiS for everything, nobody cares anymore. About 9 mil. players who did care just QUIT the game.
PvP players want to log in and queue a BG. Or team up and queue an Arena/a BG. They have NO interest in killing NPCs. Can you understand that simple fact? Can you?
Most of what you’re complaining about are just known features of the game…
They were entirely understood before the Classic release was even announced. Had they been changed, then we wouldn’t be playing Classic, as the game would have been entirely different.
I think most of your qualms can be summed up with a simple reply: gotoretail.
If only you have put all this effort to mald to the rep ring (especially when way more OP item came from that raid) you had putted it in arenas, maybe you would have won at least one.

I don’t understand what you’re saying, again. The Problem with the specific ICC ring, is that it was a BiS for EVERYONE. Regardless of lvl or preferred ingame activities. Why can’t you understand that?
That you mald that much when you didn’t even played at all wotlk XD
I see, you have nothing to say. No wonder. Well, if you don’t have anything to say, you can also not say anything. Silence is more valuable than the trash you’re posting, you know. Also, you’re very bad at personal jabs and trolling attempts.
At least I don’t cry for a rep ring claiming that ruined pvp.
Dude you don’t have any pvp experience and you claim that a RING
(you where more credible if you tiped)about DBW) made PVPers leave when season 8 was one of the most popular pvp seasons
Season 8 wasn’t. People started to leave the game already, when the Wrathful gear came out. But it wasn’t because of the ICC ring just yet.
Relentless (7) was way more popular.
And again, I’m not saying that the ring ruined the PvP. I’m saying that the ring has ruined the itemization of the game. Seems like you can’t comprehend what people are saying. Sad.
Season 8 was way more popular than 7.
You didn’t have played wotlk, you are just parroting something that a bad pvper wrote on the older forums
Agree with some. Loved classic… during the first 3-4 months, then… totally lost interest of raiding. Just logged in recently, done Nef and ZG and, never signed up again. Was eager to pvp, Joined Wsg and AB and got totally destroyed by premades of Rank 10-14. Came to forums rant and was attacked. On the other hand, didn’t play retail since Cataclysm and i’m using the restof my sub for doing it now. I will probably come back for Shadowlands. And no TBC doesn’t solve everything, i feel i can come back for legacy servers only for WOTLK, WOTLK was the pinnacle of WoW. for me it’s like (Wotlk > TBC > Classic)
Season 8 wasn’t. People started to leave the game already, when the Wrathful gear came out. But it wasn’t because of the ICC ring just yet.
wtf??. s8 was super popular and continued to be the most popualr arena/patch ever on pserver for years after and even nowadays still going strong
Mythic + keeps content attractive. Didn’t set foot in a classic dungeon since i’m prebis and got all the mats/recipes I had to get.
Atleast on retail people keep doing the content with some variety in the form of affixes past the 2 first weeks of the xpac.
and it’s a huge challenge to actually push keys no matter what Classic elite players says about it.
I call it a genius move from Blizzard.
Season 8 was way more popular than 7.

No, it wasn’t. But keep trying hard to present the false facts.

Oh really? Sherlock! That is because Wrathful Season 8 is the last patch of the WoTLK. It ended with the release of the Cataclysm, you genius. “pservers” play the latest patch of the expansion, genuis, not the earliest one. Like Deadly and Merciless. Has nothing to do with the actual history and the popularity of PvP in WoW.
