Don’t understand how there can be such drama over this? they changed the whole pvp rank system in wow era last year? where no complaints?? But of course you might have a question beforehand to your players what we think about changes! test it out on PTR =).
The only thing I could imagine as an old wow classic veteran (december 04) for old wow era version -
If blizzard could puts in new elite quest for both side new ones from level 15-60.
These elite quests must be done in groups of at least 5 players! The rewardings could be green or rare recipes that can increase the value of different materials so crafting becomes even more important in the game.
These new green and blue recipes must not become new super items or things that ruin the game’s journey to lvl 60, but rather can help and make the game more interesting.
Its important to put in elite quest which really felt like something that had been there since 2004 but was never released. Maybe it’s not about creating lots of new elite quests opens up new areas or caves! More like putting in elite quests in areas that are already in wow classic but stand completely still there nothing happens in. I’m thinking of areas like Dead windpass for example? very cozy cool area that can really creates something new there!
There are lots of caves that are also completely empty in wow classic, which can create some fun in? kill a boss or retrieve unique i guarded by hordes of dangerous elite monsters ? =)
Our guild uses EPGP (specifically the CEPGP addon). This relies on Officer Notes to store EPGP. Since the update, guild permissions for viewing and editing Officer Notes have been merged. This means that guild members can now modify their EPGP. When the now-merged view/edit Officer Note permission is removed from members, they can’t see the standings in the EPGP addon’s window. Please separate these permissions again, as this causes a significant amount of friction for raiders using the EPGP system.

There were complains about changes to PVP ranking system. Stop making stuff up mate. Every new change p*ss lots of players even those who were silent about previous change. Lots of people even stopped after last PVP ranking system change when they saw how it was turned into AV botting. Decreased number of WSGs along that.
There is lots of negative side effects of that PVP patch. Including inflated R14s compared to older ranking system no matter if you had pvp maffia, botting in AV is more ‘‘rewarding’’ and easier than in previous ranking system. Its just top of iceberg. Including toxicity of PVE players who rank in AV so efficiently that they accuse people who pvp in AV griefers.

ok! i didn’t see many streamers or videos on youtube complaining about this! Personally, I only play hardcore and happy that no major changes have been made there! New UI for guilds? It looked a bit strange though? Got quite used to it after a couple of days, not something I like but what to do?
I understand you if they put in a bunch of stuff that they didn’t even ask you players if you want? Surely there will be an addon that fixes old UI guilds back =)

Just as importantly (if not more so), we recognize that all of these updates to Classic Era came abruptly and without warning. This lapse in communication was not in line with our values, and we need to do better here.
While I appreciate the overall tone of the post, this bit stands out to me. These changes to Classic Era could only have been made intentionally and abruptly if the decision was made abruptly with little to no consideration and knowledge of what the playerbase wants. Classic Era players, by nature of it being Classic Era, want very few if any changes. It should be clear to Blizzard by now that posting ideas for changes and gathering feedback is something to be done in advance of a decision on whether to develop and release them. Doing so afterwards just adds reputational damage, time wasted with the original implementation, and time wasted reverting it. Mistakes are made and so are bad decisions. It’s not the end of the world as long as you continue to listen to the community feedback. It might help if whoever made the decision without consulting the Classic Era playerbase was trained in the context of Classic Era and community relations. We might like some ideas - Just give us a chance to let you know, in advance.

you are correct they was complaints about the pvp changes , allso how it is a way to afk skip mc bwl zg aq20 raids even more then it was before. and pve players are so toxic- the only player base to blacklist others
This makes absolutely no sense, you still allow alliance to get rend in the WHOLE OF BARRENS simply by having a buff in their chronoboon and getting MC’d - So instead of giving the QoL of getting rend regularly and without spending hours and multiple accounts to obtain the buff - you still allow it to be gotten by alliance - EITHER remove WCB completely from alliance, or drop an alliance rend.
Literally ANYONE who raids 40 man raids in Era and play a warrior will say that this is a required buff to enjoy PVE.
Pro tip: If alliance warriors aren’t allowed to get rend, most of us will literally just quit.

Luckily enough pve specced dps warrior are actually currently one of the top presented classes in pve raids, specially pugs if they ever happen. Its p6, warrior scaled heaven rend or not.
It was originaly only horde buff. That you can get it optionaly as Alliance is your option not a must.
So its nonsense to ask having it on Alliance, same winterspring tiger mount is only Alliance and many unique quests and stuff. Save equality talks for real life, game was designed as it was and doesnt need a change as QoL you can easily aquire by relogging to SOD or retail.
It was a horde only buff made when 99% of the playerbase were casual levelers and world first kt had 8 melee… the games evolved were in perma phase 6 with optimised everything it’s the most redic argument. Look at raid comp/wbuff usage in nihilums WF kt kill.
To think it was made to balance paladins vs shamans is roomp temp iq.

We’re not crying for QoL changes, we’re asking for grief prevention similar to the Chronoboon. Grief by horde gankers and having to wait for the way less active faction.
It’s a video game that people play for fun, so naturally this weighs heavier than keeping it exactly as it was just for the sake of it - which it anyway hasn’t, it’s dissimilar to vanilla in a number of ways!

Boons are not even the part of classic wow from 2019. In fact they were added in 2021 in late phase 6 when ppl left the game and moved to tbc classic and after that game was dead almost for 2 years. BOONS DOES NOT belong to classic wow 2019 , real , original launched version of the game. The “classic” server you play now is not real classic and does not fit in #nohanges and museum statement. Boons is a mistake the only reason why blizzard added boon is to milk gdkp players who like ruin and speed run the game and buy gold, the real reason why ppl lost their mind , and cry about changes that not supposed to be here anyways

As many people have pointed out before me, Rend has always been available for alliance to get. Alliance just has to work so much harder to get it. Only horde could turn in the quest, but the buff was for everyone (special conditions apply to alliance).
Winterspring mount is cosmetics. We aren’t discussing cosmetics. If it could fly that’s a different story. It sucks, sure, but it doesn’t give you any advantage over anyone else. I don’t know if you’ve played or looked into SoD or retail, but they are vastly different games. That’s not what we are talking about here. We are talking about alliance faction getting a whole lot more time to run dungeons, farm and have fun, which makes the world more alive for both factions.

I can’t find any statement about 2019 wow classic being a museum, can you link anything?
Boons were implemented april of 2021 about a month before split or something. It was implemented so people didn’t have to raidlog. Just like MoS would help with raidlog. Classic was never without changes, though they tried to not change too much. Vanilla will never come back because it was a product of it’s time. Even if we try to emulate bad connections we still know what’s comming. Best thing about playing vanilla was knowing they were working on something and having an idea of what it was but never knowing. I have no idea why chronoboon would milk gdkp players playing the game. Can you elaborate how they are milked while SRs and other systems aren’t?
None of those are available in game though so they cannot be compared. You can say pvp system revamp and changes like that would compare, but then again, isn’t it just fear? We haven’t seen changes like that. RMT is a huge nono for most players and they haven’t even mentioned it so maybe it’s better not to waste time fearing such changes.
Every argument has value some simply weights more than others. Your argument of “we transfered to era thinking there would be no changes, just as we were told” bears good weight ofc. The rest of your arguments weight next to nothing.
