Classic is really deluding many people

Since I’m new to vanilla I too saw that sometimes, but thankfully the response ratio of “find that on internet” to actually helping were 1:10. I don’t know how long will it last, so as soon as classic dies, I’m out completely, cause situation in retail is worse.

People actually think they are going to end retail? lol. All the achievements players have gotten. All the mounts, pets and toys players have spent time on collecting, especially the store bought ones. You really think they are just going to say “Well it was great, goodbye to all of that”?

The only plausible scenario would be World of Warcraft 2. With all your stuff carrying over to the new game. But even that is a stretch.

For me the end wasn’t for same reasons. Just that i jad always liked Arthas and his lore and killing him like that … felt … wrong. For me wow died as story. I did like Cataclysm story and plot too - at start, but they completely lost it with making thrall someone relevant in some points like shoehorned in with no apparent reason.

I know most people compare game mechanics and combat and so on, when they feel ‘when game died or changed too much’ - for me literally killing LK in HC raid felt like something snapped and broke for me. I have still played game trough all later expansions and loved and hated something in them; but this child alike passion the game had for me died with Arthas-Ner’zul. Silly reason i know, but somehow it felt like your favourite actor dying - “Its nothing relevant to you or your life, but still sad that you never see heir new performances ever again”

because it needs some next level delusional brain to not notice as why these things dont happen in bfa unless you play it on a very high level ( would say like m15+ keys/mythic raid/high end arenas) which apply to what? 1% of the playerbase

Everything ends.

You can…BUT NOBODY DOES !

Why? Because a sh.it buff in retail means NOTHING, but in Classic means A LOT.

Why aren’t people talking in retail? Because, again, it means NOTHING, with cross server and phasing and content being a joke for a solo players. In Classic, you have to talk with people, asking them to help you…because YOU NEED HELP in Classic.

Yes, you CAN DO all those things in retail…but NOBODY CARES about them, because those things no longer EXIST in retail, as MEANS to an end.

Simple as that.

You are crazy. People won’t snap off anything…because WE NEED EACH OTHER in Classic, hence, we will always communicate, and buff each other and help each other.

It’s not nostalgia…it is the SUPERIOR WoW. Nothing more, nothing less.

Only it isn’t

I wouldn’t say that “inv plz” has any meaning either.

Some ugly may people think so

Edit:not going to fix that

What a joke OP.

Its beneficial to be nice when you win more by being nice. In retail being nice makes no difference therefore there is no reason to be nice, socialize, etc - everyone can do literally everything without even typing a thing

I agree with you but retail became so easy that you have zero reason to actually talk to random players and every guild i’ve joined in the past 3 years has been totally dead in terms of guild chat and raid nights are just as talkative. now wow isnt a chatting game but social interactions in an MMO are pretty key in the game feeling alive.

I have always tried to be social in retail and get very little to nothing back so I leave the guild and find another one which advertises as extremely active and social to only find out that its 5 people online unless its raid night and not a soul talks unless its to say !key to what mythic key another guildie owns to then use them for their key to get the loot that you want.

Vanilla since launch has already given me more social interactions since cataclysm and quite honestly people have reasons to group up and be social and talk and my guild is so active its actually hard to keep track of sometimes which is a breath of fresh air in terms of what i’ve experienced on Cata-BFA.

If they could make wow less soloable then people would group more and would entail socialize more which leads to more socializing and that leads to a community alas a fresh 120 can solo any world content and Dungeon and Raid finders also make grouping up for end game content null in terms of talking.

Unless you join mythic raiding guild that requires a rediculous application process with even more stupid weekly requirements you aren’t going to enjoy retail. Its a dead game in terms of mmosocializing and vanilla is the answer to people who miss community and knowing and remembering faces from playing on your server.

It means “Invite please to your group, I have same quest to do, and/or I can’t survive the pack of mobs by myself”

Considering how many people are toxic on game forums here - I have started to feel that they need that forced interaction not because they are nice, but because they are so toxic that its only way anyone would talk to them.

I am nice anywhere, except in pvp, then I sometimes in bad mood can literally camp a guy 4 hours straight (although not sure who had bigger mental issues that day me doing it or he never leaving or giving up).

Fun wording. But still wrong, beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.

You know, as this thread progresses, I think the only actual person in it who’s deluding themselves is you. It’s almost as if you’re trying to talk yourself into it, not us. :woman_shrugging:

That isn’t the point though, everyone harps on about the retail fans being toxic yet almost the first reply to this topic is to denigrate the OP! I thought that we fans of the original game were beyond this but time and time again it is proven that we aren’t. In this respect the Classic community is no better than the retail community.

You can argue your points without having to resort to name calling surely?

You got it. That’s how society made of human beings works

I called it funny, in response to being called deluded pretty much.

Dont think I was that bad.

Edit:nevermind, you did say almost:p I must be tired

Of course I was not being 100% serious with that line and I believe its just trolls on forums and none to do with real community and how many feel without any hidden reasons. But just past days on forums been a bit so toxic that I could open my own nuclear plant.
