Considering Some Semi-weekly World Quests Becoming Daily

I don’t know what you’re doing then BESIDES world content, but I have about 2 days played at 70 and I’m basically done. So… You’re lying or you’re doing LOTS of stuff besides world content.

Grinding elite mobs isnt fun for me. Its not an activity i want to do.

The hunt is fun once or twice a day but not worth doing on repeat.

The feast and seige are on timers. To ensure i do those i would have to allign my schedule with the game. This is not something im willing to do.

And i dont want to fly around the map looking for treaures or rares. Its boring. And i like structure.

And im not into making gold so i have no need for the new professions. If i want crafted gear ill just commission it.

World quests will give me goals and structure. A clear progression path that allows me to log on to the game whatever day i choose.
And as im flying around to them, ill collect the treasures i find on the way. Kill the rares i find on the way. If the timer events are up that day do them. Maybe go do the hunt after since im already on.

Adding daily world quests opens up a lot for me.

Hey you do you, man. But I’m a main character kind of player.
I feel alts are a waste of time.

If YOU are telling the truth then this change wont help you. Its just going to burn you out. The quests are desgined to be done quick and forgotten. You will end up resenting them. And now, so will we.

I’m doing exactly that. Wrathion rep (open world content), Dragonscale rep (open world content), Dragon riding (open world content), Treasures (open world content), Rare farming (open world content), Loremaster (open world content). Do you see where I’m going with this?

No thats fair. I main shaman but couldnt get on it on launch and could only get on my evoker for some reason. So I have had to do everything again on my main. But that played time is on my shaman

And you dont do dungeons, raids or pvp?

I do not no.
Ill do the dungeons if the story quests demand it but otherwise not something i do.

But thats never been an obstacle to being able to enjoy myself each day in the game.

Not even that, because if I’m not mistaken after the third time every week you no longer get a reward? The reward is much less after the first time anyway; which is fine… I don’t need to be doing hunts all the time. I like a bit of variety.

Also only really rewarding once per week.

Yes it will. It will give me something to do every day. That makes me happy.

These 2 things do not align.
They’re either going to burn me out OR they are done quick.
From my experience; they’re quick. So no, I won’t burn out, because an hour or so per day is not much.

Also; at some point they’re going to become usless, of course. That’s why I hope Blizzard’s patch cadence is fast, like it was in Legion.

No.

Then don’t do them. Really, that’s really all there is to it.
You don’t NEED to get renown fast. You really, really don’t.
You might WANT to, but hey… Have self control OR you do what it takes.

:person_shrugging:

Exactly this for me too.

And honestly; I’ve not enjoyed a single one of the dungeons I’ve done so far in DF.
That’s why I’m saving doing them until I get a weekly or a questline for them.

I guess we agree to disagree. But I and many others are going to try and push to get this changed back

I hope you don’t succeed.

And I really don’t understand how anyone can think that 'having the choice to not do world quests and get renown a little bit slower than those who do’ is on the same level as ‘not having enough content to enjoy the game’.

Those 2 things are NOT equal.

You don’t NEED to have access to WQs daily, you could do other content. But hey, either play other games OR you do what it takes.

Upon further review and consideration, we’ve decided to drop this change at this time.

All along, our goal has been to avoid making World Quests feel mandatory, while still offering them as a worthwhile option for players who are looking for things to do on a given day.

Following your feedback here and our own internal discussions, we’re going to try to find other ways to accomplish that without impacting crafting too much or generating a great deal of concern for those who don’t already have a daily routine or want a daily routine.

Thank you.

Blizzard catering to the top 1% whiners again, ie mythic raiders and top level key pushers “we dont want to do this” what about the casual player base that wants actual world content and things to do?

I no longer have any faith in this company.
I am so angry it is unreal.

You just gave me so much joy and hope and then you stomped all over it.

Dragonflight is officially the worst expansion made in my eyes.
