And what do you want blizz to do ? To tell alliance to get good ? XD
Blizz barely lifts a finger unless money is involved

Just fyi, commanders and lieutenants still being alive at the end provides bonus honor and rep (iirc it’s something like 180 honor and some extra reputation per commander/lieut alive at the end). I’d argue that’s contributing to the reward for winning.
Except it does make a difference.
Except the fact that Horde gets lower honor per hour and less reputation per hour by winning fast, compared to dragging it out to that 30-minute bonus while keeping commanders/lieutenants and that middle boss alive (I don’t even remember the name of it anymore) and the tower flags left untapped by the opponents. Because the queue times are too long.
If you want them to adopt a “win quick” strategy, you need to queue up a hell of a lot more on the Alliance side to bring the queues down to make it worth it.
It’s ironic, isn’t it?
This is part of why people say that the long queues makes Horde more motivated, because they lose out by winning fast compared to winning slow because of it.
If you want the Horde to stop aiming for total domination and aim for quick wins instead, then the Alliance side needs to queue up for it in such a large quantity that it brings the queue times down to less than 10 minutes to make it worth it.
Because that’d make winning fast more valuable than dragging it out just to get the maximum amount of bonus honor.
How about you try learning the ins and outs of the BG before you speak about the best way to play it, ok?
^ Hilarious thread by you btw. I can see you haven’t changed your self-centered way of thinking even now.
Funny when the shoe is on the other foot, right?
As Alliance just dont do AV, short and simple due to the map is terrible and blizz changes have just been made the Alliance exp in it even worse.
pro tip for horde: let alliance kill LTs/Commanders in the south and more alliance will play AV.
But who knew that the meta “yeah let’s cuck the alliance out of every single point of honor” would backfire
surprised pikachu face
Didn’t realise LTs being alive added any bonus honour. Anyway that previous post you quoted is me saying I DO accept that premades were unfair. Not sure why you said its funny when the shoe is on the other foot because I never said that I wanted premades back or to steam roll horde. Just that I want faster games with less slowing down by horde - exactly what I’m currently saying in this thread.
Exactly, you’re saying you want Horde to earn less per hour by not aiming for the 30-minute bonus and not leaving the commanders/lieutenants alive by defending, which is only a demerit for the Horde as long as the queues are as long as they are.
Horde would earn more per hour by winning fast just as you want them to do, if Alliance would queue up in matching numbers. They earn much less per hour when winning fast with such a slow queue time average though.
SHRUG I’ve pointed out why alliance won’t queue and how horde can help deal with that. Not my problem if queues are long because of it. Up to you, as horde players, to change behavior. I only play AV on AV weekend anyway just for bonus honour (which is accumulated quicker through fast games, which is why I want that to happen).
Also in that old thread you linked, I noticed you were saying that it is “tomfoolery” to artificially increase bracket sizes using lvl 1 chars and that it is “very unlikely you can get a large mass of people to all do the same thing, and even more unlikely to get them to do it every week.”
Shows how little wisdom you had there considering there is a mass cross server effort by honour farmers every week to literally have thousands of lvl 1 chars killed on each other’s servers to boost pool size. I know personally of multiboxers doing hundreds of them on their own.
Multiboxers aren’t representative of social norms.
I never said they were and never said they are the only people boosting brackets. The vast majority of people doing this are not multiboxers and rgere are thousands of lvl 1 alts killed this way each week.
Which is you exaggerating how common it is. Just because it may or may not occur where you’re playing, it doesn’t mean it happens everywhere. It doesn’t even mean it occurs on both factions.
It really is happening everywhere. Just because you weren’t aware of it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. The pool size on my server is boosted by several hundred alts every single week. The people boosting that pool come from every single English EU server. And to return the favour they all have alts on each other’s servers and have set times each week they go and farm them at a graveyard…
Sorry but your insight into this matter was just wrong (and you were trying to use social science to make predictions on it too), which makes me question whether anyone should take you seriously on any other matters.
Hyperbolic statements and an excessive use of absolutes…
It’s happening on EVERY single EU English server… the honour farmers collaborate with each other cross server.
Thank you for further illustrating my point.
Well its a fact.
Anyone that’s ever gone anywhere close to the ranking system knows about bracket stacking, honor caps, pool boosting and how pervasive these practices are, but apparently AV heroes don’t have much contact with the PVP community on their servers.
There’s a couple ways for Blizzard to “fix” (it’s not broken but whatever) AV for Horde.
They could let Horde fight Horde
They could ad AI bots for Horde to fight
They move the Horde spawn cave back to be the same distance from the middle of the map as the Alliance spawn cave
They could do absolutely nothing because faction-balance is something the players control and Horde players brought it upon themselves cause everyone knew from the second they announced classic that Horde would be the tryhard PvP faction
My money is on the last option.
Then do please tell us why we aren’t seeing such a massive win ratio in the other 2 BGs?
Some of your ideas sound very fun to me ^_^.
Horde Vs horde sounds interesting .
I agree horde is try hard faction and alliance is easy mode faction
Because AB & WSG are balanced, and AV is horde favored.
To be honest, my experience with AB & WSG is about 50% wins, not a “massive win ratio”. I haven’t PvP’d in a while though.
I said tryhards, but that wasn’t really the correct terminology. The kind of player that chooses a certain faction because he thinks it will give him an advantage over the other faction is most likely not the best player overall.
If Blizzard switched suddenly switched out all the racials, for example gave gnomes WoTF and undead Escape Artist, I think we’d still see Horde winning the vast majority of AV’s, while maybe losing a bit more often in the other 2 bg’s.
The most clear side-effect would be thousands of Horde crying on the forums, and thousands of Alliance players laughing at them.
