The Irregulars have returned to Lordaeron and Tarren Mill for a bit of R&R and to celebrate Hallowâs End. We might also get into a bit of trouble while we are home anyway, watch this space.
Last evening the Irregulars were called on to hunt down a group of Scarlet Crusaders who had taken Forsaken captives. In the spirit of the season, the living were slaughtered to a man after a bloody, precipitous battle on the edge of Lordamere Lake.
Tonight the unit will be visiting the city to cast their torches upon the Wickerman and anoint themselves with the ashes of the enemy, per Forsaken tradition. Feel free to come celebrate the occasion in the company of Lordaeronâs finest before we return to duty in Khaz Algar.
The Irregulars gathered in the ruins of the Capital City to throw their torches upon the wicker man and paint their faces with the ashes. For some characters it was their first time taking part in this most important of Forsaken traditions and took on a nature of being almost a ceremonial stepping into Forsaken society properly. 2 of the unitâs death knights and a geist, recently free of the Cult of the Damnedâs control, were among those painting their faces for the first time.
We will linger in Lordaeron a little while longer before returning to Kaz Algar.
Quick OOC note: Recruitment is currently closed and will remain closed for the rest of the year at least. Thereâs been a lot of interest in our little zombie guild in recent months, and while very flattering, there is definitely a limit to how many people we feel we can accommodate without having to compromise on the quality of RP. Sorry everyone.
After a series of escalating events, the Irregulars infiltrated Shadowfang Keep to settle a feud with their longtime Gilnean rivals, who had come trying to hand over a stolen relic to the Bloodfang in exchange for aid in their plot against the Forsaken.
Back in Khaz Algar, they are on the hunt for two equally dangerous cultists they must assassinate - a Forsaken defector driven mad by the Void, and a fugitive Scarlet Crusader who has assimilated into Arathi society.
I can vouch for these guys! I hosted an event a while ago and these guys were nothing but a delight to have!
Would love to do more RP together!
After having the joy of fighting the Irregulars on probably half of my roster at this point, I couldnât praise the quality and personality of these guys enough.
There isnât a skirmish I havenât enjoyed with your wonderful lot and looking forward to the next time we get to clash, plus you still owe us for that new hand.
Thanks for the kind words friends
The Irregulars are currently readying themselves to head deep into Azj-Kahet in search of a Forsaken fugitive and her congregation. The die is cast, time to see how they landâŚ
Me and another fellow undead are really Looking forward to meet these folks ICly !
After a long delve through Azj-Kahet, the hunt for the fugitive leader of the self-styled Church of the Starsâ Embrace has finally come to an end. Promising lost and disenchanted Forsaken a âcureâ to undeath, Mother Leona and her inner circle oversaw the transformation of many Lordaeronian citizens into kâthir - and took great interest in the dreaded Black Blood for its potential as an agent in metamorphosis.
By means of
brutal, violent interrogationa little social engineering, the Irregulars learned from one of Leonaâs men that the congregation had travelled to the Maddening Deep seeking the Bloodâs gifts. Then they were approached with a second lead by a purported spy for the Severed Threads - who lured them into a cavern for reaping by an assassin from the Shadowguard, in retaliation for previous escapades.
Lieutenant Rotwild survived the attempt on his life, albeit slightly insulted about the small taskforce allocated to it, and resumed the hunt for the cult at once. By the time the Irregulars arrived in the Deep, the rest of the congregation had vanished - lost to the horrors of the Unseeming they had joined forever.
At last the unit cornered and confronted Mother Leona at the old Ascended harvesting grounds, minds wrestling the clutches of the Black Bloodâs power. But the will of the Forsaken knows no equal, and though she began a horrific transformation, she was struck down before another soul could be claimed by the Unseeming.
With one of the Irregularsâ two targets in Khaz Algar eliminated, a second remains at large back in Hallowfall. For now the merry dead will leave Azj-Kahet behind, having procured new information on those instruments used to extract and harmonise the Blood.
They might have taken a couple of samples.
Grateful to the Irregulars for dealing with those pesky cultists
Okay, so that could have gone better. The Irregulars are currently squatting in a cave at an undisclosed location in Hallowfall to avoid the attention of the locals. Donât try to find us. Soon though, we will (discreetly) take our leave. An old adversary awaits us back in the Eastern Kingdoms.
Had a great time interacting with you guys in the Shadows in the Jungle campaign! Hereâs to many more adventures in the future.
If Forsaken RP is what youâre looking for, I canât think of a better group.
After a couple of months abroad, the Irregulars are now back in Tarren Mill. Surely everything is as it should be back in good old Lordaeron and nothing has gone awry in our absenceâŚ
We had been thinking about opening recruitment again in January, but with a (thankfully) high retention and attendance rate among the irregulars, it will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
It was a pleasure to meet these guys ICly during the campaign and it was an absolute blast. Hope to see them again soon !
After a few forays into the Eastern Plaguelands, the Irregulars are currently holed up in Andorhal from where we will soon head into Tirisfal to take care of some business. And that will wrap up our time in Lordaeron for now. The Irregulars are shipping out to Kalimdor for our next campaign. More on that soon.
Certainly the group lead by the best (self proclaimed) shot North of the span.
Recently, the Irregulars ventured into the green hells of Feralas, chasing an ogre magi rumoured to have been one of ChoâGallâs disciples in the Twilightâs Hammer. This magi had rallied the local Gordunni and Grimtotem to his side, seeking to brave the ancient ruins of EldreâThalas in pursuit of great power from an age long past. Our intrepid heroes however, were ready to put a stop to this, first ambushing the magiâs Grimtotem allies, then taking out his coven of lesser ogre magi in a daring assault on the ruins of Isildien, before finally coming head to head with the Magi himself deep inside EldreâThalas.
In the end we were chased out of the ancient city by a group of Night Elves and their Worgen allies⌠What can I say? You win some, you lose some, and it at least felt like we were winning right up until a priestess of Elune forced us to flee. At least we killed their dog
Not ones to sit idle, after a brief return home, the Irregulars now find themselves in Vengeance Landing in the Howling Fjord, from where they will travel to Conquest Hold in the Grizzly Hills for the Conquest Clash. Hope to see some of you there! After the Conquest Clash, they will be travelling further into Northrend to Ice Crown where their next mission awaitsâŚ
On a different note, we have decided to open recruitment once more, so if you are interested in joining the Irregulars, contact either myself or Halfsilver or Hearthgate.
What a long strange trip itâs been. The Irregulars have just wrapped up a campaign in the Storm Peaks with the Starfallen that saw them face off against renegade members of the Infinite Dragonflight for control of an ancient (and disguised) void artifact. Before that, we stole from the Scourge and sabotaged a laboratory in Icecrown, we were ambushed in Crystalsong Forest, and we nearly got taken out by a Frostwyrm in Dragonblight. Conquest Clash was also a great time, though none of the participating Irregulars came out on top.
Now though, it is time to go back home and recuperate before duty calls us further afield once again. I hear something is brewing in the Twilight Highlands
When a shadowy celestial object was sighted coursing over the Twilight Highlands, the Horde forces at Dragonmaw Port called for warriors fit to stand against the mounting infestation of cultists in the region. For better or worse, they received the Corpsegrin Irregulars, freshly released from their covert operations in Northrend.
On arrival they were briefed by the Dragonmaw commander Garâkrall and an invested Nightborne aristocrat named Remethion Lastaril. The object - nicknamed the âVoid Cometâ - was profound enough a dark omen to rally the so-called Twilight Resurgence, an army of doomseeking ritualists and purposeless draconic experiments left behind after Deathwingâs fall. Whilst scouting after dark and escorting a choice diplomat to meet with the red flight, the Irregulars discovered that ethereals had also taken interest in the star.
Beside their fellow warriors of the Horde they carved through swathes of cultists, struck down the Twilight wyrm Thaldraxion in a high-octane aerial chase, and crossed blades with all-too-familiar agents of the Shadowguard. As the comet came crashing closer each night, wizards and astromancers raced to unravel the mysteries of its power before it could strike Azeroth.
When at last the star hit the Altar of Twilight a monstrous being emerged from the wreck: the comet had been alive all along, and rose to feast on the spilled essence of its occult worshippers. What laid within had once been a naaru - for all it suffered on a world long lost to the Legion, it had undergone a dark metamorphosis, and been reborn as a creature of the Void.
But the defiant and indomitable Forsaken are no strangers to the stare of the abyss. Together the combined Horde forces were able to hold back Xarkanoth, the being born from the star: the magi set loose arcane elementals from a wound in the Highlandsâ ley line, and they coursed from the veins of the world to vanquish him at last.
Having survived yet another treacherous adventure they probably didnât deserve to, the Irregulars left the tavern at port in a far worse state than they had found it and boarded a ship back home, sticking Lord Lastaril with their eye-popping bar tab. Now they have returned to Lordaeron, they can probably be found in Hillsbrad until duty tides them again.
Revenge is a dish best served cold. One dayâŚ

Jokes aside, I am so glad I have had a chance to RP with the Irregulars. Iâd recommend doing events or campfire RP with them anytime. They may be rotten on the outside, but are sweet on the inside!
