The peace settled over the lands of Azeroth for a short while. The imagery of War was still a fresh memory to all. The fourth War has ended. Orgrimmar, the proud bastion of the Horde stood mighty in the sands. Echo Isles spanned the south of Durotar. Mulgore rose high on its plateau. Silvermoon Basked in its Eternal Sun. Cities of the Allied races of the Horde, the Highmountain revelled in fresh snow in the hills, Suramar basked in light of natural sun. The great Dazar’alor Temple city shined its golden decorations like a beacon of hope in the top of its isles of Zandalar. But war left scars too and all of the cities knew them. Biggest scar of them all, was Undercity. Lost to the Blight. Her citizens shaken and moved to all corners of the cities of their allies…
Yet, not all was lost. The Kingdom of Lordaeron was still present in its citizens rotten hearts. Swords and tools were maintained. And the will to seek the rebuilding was with the men, women, geists and gargoyles of the former subterranean service.
As such the many people of Undercity now began to make preparations to serve the Horde from new harbours of the Forsaken Hope. Indeed perhaps these towns lacked the glamour of the capitals of others, but they were still. Home.
Tarren Mill was one such home and in it a unit of forsaken forces had its headquarter. Once these man and women were led by the Executor Darkblade, facing many enemies of the Queen and the Horde. But the wind of change led to new dawn.
From the ashes of Queens Betrayal and Darkblades new calling, the former Queen’s Grasp has risen up a new Banner. A banner that still displayed its colours of the Hand of Agony…
But its name was changed by numeration: The 19th Forsaken Expeditionary Battalion.
‘‘Hand of Agony, gather it up!’’ a sharp voice yelled through the night in Hillsbrad, the Executor waiting on her steed. The clattering of steel to be heard on the stone pavement of Tarren Mill as the men begun their movement. Lining up in front of the Executor’s steed. She climbed off her steed, the Executor clasping her hands behind her back and tilted her head upwards. Eyeing the soldiers in line.
Over the last several weeks, much had changed. Not just for the battalion in general, but for the Forsaken as a whole. Now without leader the Hand had pledged its loyalty to the Horde, but even that was not without challenges. There was a homeland to rebuild, loyalties to prove, ever rising threats to face and perhaps even enemies within the ranks itself. The Executor had to keep all in account and execute the commands properly, steadfast and without hesitation.
‘’The last several months have been rough, for all of us, but there is no time to sit idle. Threats are on the lurk everywhere, our capital lost, high command is in disarray and our Queen has abandoned us.’’ she paused for a moment ‘’But we need to move on, we must show that we are strong. Retaliate and rebuild the land that rightfully belongs to the people of Lordearon. Protect those whom are in need and work with our allies to fight the threats which are beyond us. We are the Forsaken! We have earned our place on Azeroth! Those whom seek to threaten our existence shall be crushed… One by one… By our Blades!’’
Nineteenth (19th) Forsaken Expeditionary Battalion, The Hand of Agony, known formerly as The Queen’s Grasp led by Jorrick, originally based on Hand of Vengeance led by Akru, is a Forsaken-only guild focused on Military RP.
Even while the guild is focused on Military themes, not all of our events however are strictly militaristic. Apart from our own events, produced and brought to life by officers and members alike, we have done many, many co-operative events with several other guilds. Our officer team strives to cooperate many more of those with the guilds whom we ally with. Many of these events and campaigns can be found on our Argent Archives -page, where our allied guilds are also listed. Apart from threading back and forth the world in aid of allies, we return to Tarren Mill too where our characters can have a break and work on civilian part of self or continued self growth through practice and knowing the members more personally.
From once being only apothecaries, the Nineteenth has at one point into a fully operational warmachine, determined and prepared to fight the threats which the kingdom of Lordaeron and the Banshee Queen faces but has been decided to remain with its core loyalties stay inside the Horde.
So what about the game part and me as a player you ask? Well.
We:
- Accept new roleplayers, willing to teach you the ropes and help you grow. Lore is accessible and even can be debated for full interpretation over our discord. We can help you provide with an NPC type throwable character if you are unsure what to make as your first character.
- Are open to provide people to have own stories. We try to give you handouts and you can engage into RP daily with coordinating with fellow guild members through discord or ingame icly. An IC channel on discord exists as well for minor things as well as Story channel where you can write what happens if you so wish. Not enforced, suggested if you want.
- Expect respect to the officer team on IC level as in any other military unit. Punishments come for those who disobey and rewards for exemplary behavior are given as well.
- Assure you to the fact you can contact officer team members directly at any time for the problems regarding IC and solutions. We don’t enforce death or mutilations but discuss the process of punishment system with individual if they are not wanting their character hurt in extremes.
- have a very friendly family-esque discord.

Ranks
-
OOC/Operative: Members that have not undergone an in character interview. Said characters are allowed to remain OOC for the time it takes them to lvl, or gather RP items, or whatever other reason there is. Not indefinitely, however. The Operative part means you are alas allowed to be part of unit, but it is reserved for Auxiliary Unit roles (defective forsaken RP - those affected by brain rot or lesser undead or lesser functioning forsaken for any reason) or negotiated as a rank a unit member deployed as observer in certain zone whom reports to high command. It helps with those whom are usually inactive for longer periods or for alts whom will not show as much as mains.
-
Recruit: New blood in the military unit receives a rank of Recruit, his journey ready to start. A lot of hard work will be need to prove themselves.
-
Trooper: Gaining experience Recruits become troopers. Forming a less experienced pool of soldiers that will get the job done… if guided right.
-
Specialist: Are soldiers who already knows a few tricks and their skills has been tested enough to be ready for a deployment almost anywhere without preparations.
-
Veteran: These veteran soldiers of any branch act as exemplars for the less experienced among the Hand. Some are loved while others are feared, the Veteran’s duty is to show those below them how it’s done.
-
Elite: Having earned the respect of their unit and their unit Commander the Elites are men and women who are battle-hardened and equipped for their tasks. Often associated with a certain officer the Elites act as a ‘‘Second in command’’ to their assigned unit.
-
(New) Advisor: Mentality and questioning after all what has happened is completely natural to settle in after unit has gone through such rough changes: Loss of Capital City of Kingdom, changes in leadership, trialing times… Advisors are here to fill in the role of ICly leading and helping your characters on less military way as it is a Civilian Contractor rank. They are usually former captains and elites but also psychologists, menders and priests whom are going to take care of characters persona and help you speak with higher ranks if there is need for confidentiality or anonymity.
-
Officer: Having been put in charge by the Commander of the Hand the Officers lead the Hand’s different divisions with an unyielding tenacity. All sections (Apothecaries/Deathguards/Deathstalkers/Spellweavers/Clergy) have one of these and each of them is determined to make his or hers actions best of their expectations from the commander and unit itself.
-
Executor: The leader of the Hand of Agony, holds absolute command over the entire unit and holds a powerful position in the Forsaken military.
F.A.Q.
Q: Alright, seen you guys around, cool name and all… But what EXACTLY are you about?
A: We are forsaken Military guild - as such we make our endeavours in body decomposing warriors and other whatever stick and harsh languages and backstabbers shooty lot you can get. It is completely blood elf / nightborne models dk free undead RP guild that defends people of the Forsaken and it serves the Horde.
Q: Horde allegiance. But were you not in past Sylvanas fanbois?
A: Yes, Horde allegiance… And yes we were loyal to Sylvanas, as she was one of those whom from start imposed that all children of the former scourge now free of Lich King’s grasp, must remain free willed. Later as Sylvanas abandoned us, we remained loyal to cause of Free will. Loyalists offer for interesting RP as they are following Sylvanas… It will make it definitely interesting to see how it is handled, specially as there are some in Hand whom still are loyal to Dark Queen, but work for Free Will and the Forsaken. It all spices up the RP for both officers as well as you as the member.
Q: Promotion?
A:You have to be active and show us what you want to roleplay as. If you are a hunter wanting to be a Dreadguard, you prove it by rping as one and dressing accordingly. Each event you go to will earn you a small amount of promotion points only visible to the officers. And when the time comes… Making it all happen IC so you can’t predict when it is about to happen… You will have promotion.
Q: Where can I find you since you travel a lot?
A: You can start by asking OOCly through whisper. Any member should be able to tell you. ICly it is up to you how you approach us. Did you find yourself at right time at right place? Or were you transferred from other military unit to supplement our ranks? If you do not seek us for recruitment than you will mostly find us on organised server campaigns or on own travels and own campaigns where we will host our allies to fight alongside us.
Q: Campaigns, what do you mean by those?
A: RP-PvP and RP-Dungeon Mastered events. Server wide campaigns vary from topic to topic.
Q: Do you have any system that you use for rolling the dices?
A: We are currently looking into adopting a new system. We are going from 20 to 100 dice for ease of typing /roll . We are most certainly going to use Traits and quite possibly armor as well but we cannot disclose much yet as we are actually striving to make a system that borrows from elements of other Ashen Bulwark shields, so it will be easier for everyone to quickly switch into its mentality or not even need explanation. A reserved post below the first post will tell of the system once we make it.
Q: I don’t know what character should I make as i find the forsaken RP idea interesting.
A: Well it is best you find yourself what you are most confident in yourself from the game aspect first. A warrior can always ends up being a form of a spellcaster due to it being able to carry literally all forms of armors and weapons for example. It is all up to you. When you will approach us and ask, express your ideas and wishes what way you wish to go.
Ultimately if you do not find an idea for a characters story we (by that i mean I, Iztok) can provide you with a TRP’s description based around an NPC as guideline and let you all just go on with the flow so you can see how fares the idea of that character in guild for you.
Q: I feel like RPing a villager joining the army.
A: Feel free to. In personal experience, such is best character growth as it is most fun for you can ridiculously describe failures. My character was but a librarian at start. All the stumbling and hurdles… So fun. We will try to provide you with IC mentor and OOC mentor. Perhaps both in one.
Q: I am a guild master on Alliance. Can we arrange RP-PvP?
A: We are interested for such questions. Our Executor is best address for such arrangements.
Q: What happened to Pastry of Agony?
A: The baking issue and lack of sweet pies is to be addressed to Piv.
Q: Any fun fact about guild?
A: Our guilds birthday is on 19th June. At same time, the Lordaeron Blightfall campaign has happened on server. It is why we made it into our units numeral.
Q: I have some other questions:
A: Feel free to contact any of our members or officers. Or ask the question in our thread on the World of Warcraft Realm Forums!
