is not what anyone serious is saying. It’s one factor that matters, just like it matters if your team is in t2 or t2.5 or if you’re facing a full premade or a pug. To a lesser or larger extend, but it matter.
*practically irrelevant. But sure, it matters. Except it really doesn’t, since the PvP is what decides the outcome.
Kinda indicates you like to ignore what speaks against your claim that there are other advantages in exchange for disadvantages, i.e. asymmetrical balance, and rather just focus on what affects you negatively and thus claiming it’s unbalanced.
Same for the other things you said earlier in the discussion about specific points on the map. Which I guess is why you’ve gone back to saying nothing substantial and just rely on empty claims now, such as:
I was asked on my personal opinion on how to make the map better. I missed the part where it is my responsibility to consider every bit and piece of the the entire history of Alterac Valley until you inserted yourself.
It’s not an empty claim, if the map wouldn’t matter we could slap a few flags on the empty space underneath stormwind and call it a day.
You can’t honestly claim that the area where the pvp takes place is irrelevant, and neither is the time in which the players arrive at the spot where the pvp takes place.
Nonsensical. I mean I understand why you said it since you wanted to put more emphasis on what you’re claiming, but the way you came up with that exaggeration isn’t even logical. It doesn’t make sense.
… What? Where did I ever say that?
This is just misrepresenting all the walls of text. Go back and read them again please.
Also, now that I think about it:
That’s also true for the Horde side. If the Horde dies while inside the “wall” they ress at the base GY, while if they die outside past a certain point then they ress in the cave.
Instead of just resorting to whining, come up with some real counterarguments instead please. I’ve presented plenty already. Go ahead, have a whack at them. Just don’t rely on falsehoods anymore, please.
???
Whats with this underhanded insult? I haven’t been whining, I was asked how I would improve the situation.
I said I percieve the map to be in favour of the horde by 55:45 or even 60:40 which is really not a whole lot. Scroll further up and see.
I also said there are many more factors than just this map imbalance, but the map imbalance being partially responsible for some of those, such as the demotivation, defeatist attitude etc.
At no point was there any whining, so I really don’t understand the sudden hostility you seem to be throwing out.
Your ways of argumenting changed when you dropped the substantial arguments, such as the talk about points on the map, and instead started throwing out more things like this:
^ Passive aggressiveness.
^ More passive aggressiveness.
Misrepresentation of what has been said, with more direct aggressiveness.
There’s a subtext of whining in that passive aggressiveness.
…I can assure you there is nothing like passive agressiveness towards you in any of those. If you took it that way that’s really not my problem but yours.
Doesn’t seem like you’re aware of it in that case.
Your way of communicating changed to exaggerations in an attempt to ridicule the claim you were trying to refute, and that “I missed the part” is textbook passive aggressiveness.
I’d appreaciate not being counciled by someone who watched a 101 Psychology Video on youtube, probably not even to the five minute mark and now uses it to collect redditgold/forum upvotes.
Here, that was a passive agressive statement. Up until now, there was none of that.
Ok, so ignoring that little outburst of rage from you, if you’ve got any substantial counterarguments then feel free to bring them. That means you need to present the actual reasoning behind your claims, instead of just saying “the map isn’t balanced”, and instead present why you think it isn’t balanced.
You know, more than what has already been countered.
Shorter travels for the red team to key locations, convenient resscave near IBGY.
Easy Towers+Balinda if SH is taken due to choke was another one I didn’t mention yet+ an easy 2 way pincer attack on IBGY if it was indeed tapped by the alliance.
Are there maybe advantages for alliance on the map aswell? Yes. Both, in my mind should be adressed the same way.
As I doubt you will accept these are real and “don’t really matter” I’ll also buy into your argument that the earth is flat and vaccines are evil.
Except all of those points have already been covered, and you’re not even willing to acknowledge advantages for Alliance. That’s just… Wow. (“Maybe” isn’t exactly acknowledging it. All you did was acknowledge the possibility of it existing by using the word ‘maybe’.)
I would guess that most ppl are there for honor or rep. Mostly for rep on alliance these days probably. Then there’s a few who are there just for some PvP but those are likely a small minority. Anyway it doesn’t matter because my point is that there are more players who are in it for the honor on the horde side and those ppl are the ones who have the gear, talents and skill for PvP and they really want to win.
This is a factual correct claim. Around 10-15 Alliance in every AV are obviously not and are the ones defending bridge and stalling the game and making the others Alliance angry If Alliance had 30 something of those, then they could in fact stall long enough to break Horde, and start pushing south. But they would get MUCH better Honor per hour if they didn’t, so they don’t do that.
If we had 40 vs 40 and rep or honor wasn’t the main goal, or if the rewards was tied to last boss kill, then we could have some EPIC AVs.
You get some ranking alliance aswell ofc (stacking marks for next weeks push ect) or ex rankers just there for fun.
They are just usually fewer than the horde, due to it being so consistently good honor when your more or less guaranteed a 10k honor win every game.
So like even most premade horde teams actually rotate out players and join their av pops inbetween wsg/ ab games.
tbh the biggest chance of winning I think you have during peak hours on av weekends. Theres just so many more players who dont usually pvp (these vastly outnumber the active pvp population) that jumps in then (for rep/ fun/ test their gear or whatever). So the player advantage the horde usually enjoys gets diluted down alot, and you can actually have games where the alliance side is stronger.
Then straight up win team fights, push and win.
I think its still like 1 or 2-10 then (ofc a hell of alot better than 1-100).
