Is Blizzard Behind Bots?

7 days ago i made a report about 3 specific bots ~(
2 days they didn’t appear.

again 4 days ago aperread in the same area same movement etc… again reported again — offline .

Today after near 2 days of not appearing … they are in the same spots.

Also
I logged my alt=opposite faction they were offline for those days as well .

So how that after some report …the bots are disappearing and after 2/3 days are on again ?

Short answer: yes, it is all blizzard :robot:

Well i found a bit off after reporting they go off and re-appear after few days like nothing happens.

No this is such a wild conspiracy theory lol.

What you’re describing is that after a banwave, the botters will adjust their tactics very slightly and return to the same area. Basically, they do get banned (You see them disappear) but they return (the illegal botters continue to do the same thing).

It may then appear like nothing has happened since they come back again. You’re encouraged to continue reporting them if you want but generally Warden/Blizzard knows what’s up and will continue to ban them every few days/weeks.

This is more or less a perpetual cycle as I explained in your previous thread.

If I can take a real life example, if there’s a dealer on the street peddling wares as long as people ignore them he may or may not hang around.

If they buy from them - more dealers may appear. But hey, you’re an upstanding citizen and report them to the police. The police may put up a sting ops and get actual evidence and capture them in the act. Proof obtained and arrested jailed 4 lyfe right?

Wrong. Dealer gets arrested and a new dealer arrives from the same gang. Or other gang’s dealers. The actual source of the stuff doesn’t even get touched. The same thing happens here, bots are removed but the source of the bots can’t be really touched due to them being in sucky low or no judicial countries.

Gonna log tomorrow then .

You’ve said this yourself that you witnessed the bots being banned and re-appearing with different toons:

They will not disclose names due privacy rules. It wouldn’t help much either anyway knowing that gibberish ABCDE bot got banned as that won’t tell you anything.

???

Your previous thread and my post above has a sourced Blizzard post by Community Manager Kaivax.

Remember that you may not name/shame players on the forums and swear either.

We can agree that we have different opinions based on our knowledge .

Also

That’s a name only and even if you search you won’t find any source in any search-character wow related forum-page .
Also i believe i just named a bot and without further details like Realm and anything futher . (So i believe i’m ok =otherwise i wouldn’t write it )

I’m not sure if I get it, you say that we reach different conclusions even when you concluded yourself earlier that they were banned by Blizzard? How?

From all these of your own written observations we see Blizzard took action on your reports and they got banned (they re-appear ofcourse in the same zone on new bots) yet you also refute your own observation by asking how you know they got banned?

And that there’s a different opinion??

What is missing? How did you reach a total different conclusion after your own observation?

Well i’m off  gonna read a good book to chill and pass this:)

So, no answer then after being asked to explain how you are contradicting yourself  I’m off too then.

Feel free to peruse my previous linked post with all the bot sourced content!

From what he is describing it seems he is talking about 3 specific bots. Not “new” or “different toons” - it’s you who is using those terms, not the OP.

Even now they are online and farming endlessly . have like 8-10 day non-stop.

I don’t get how or what action Blizzard took against them .
They disappeared for 1 day (thought they got removed =but no :frowning: )

How big is the RMT market? Is there money to be made?
We have to assume Blizzard employees have strong ethical principles? Where and when have they shown this to be true?
