It amazes me how many people don't like organized team play in a game built around that

So the game was balanced around people’s mindset as it was 15 years ago. Since that changed, what’s so wrong to adjust some things? Only those that will benefit the majority of players.
I play in randomly formed premades now. But people who prefer or can only play solo are frustrated and intend to quit or already quitted Classic. No one wants that.

I am again amazed you are able to use more then one button as mage

But again, you can almost do no content solo in retail outsite of lfr which gear was already bad when it launched this tier

have a look

Any content without actual social interactions is just like solo gameplay.

There’s no practical difference between a group finder pug not saying a word to each other, or a world quest raid/group where nobody talks to each other, compared to playing with bots. The only element left in either of those is that you have other characters you’re not communicating with, making it possible to clear an obstacle.

Which is really no different from playing with bots.

If you mean the low normal raid groups / low mythic + groups. Yeah there is not much talking anymore , as the content is quite easy by now.

But did you pug MC or a dungeon in classic recently ? It’s the same. It’s like playing with bots if you wanna use that comparison

However you can’t really insist of that being true for the a bit harder content which is mythic + 15 / heroic to mythic raiding / arena / rbg

People almost always demand voice or atleast communication through chat for this.

I really see no difference here. Bewteen classic and retail when it comes to communication. Specially in pvp I would say retail needs even more

This may come as a surprise to you, if you haven’t done a lot of arenas via the group finder for many years, is that there has been an ever-increasing amount of “puggers” who doesn’t want to communicate at all. They just want to play.
These players even goes out of their way to ridicule the group finder listings demanding voice chat, with a very elitist attitude like “omg, you don’t need that for arenas” or “you need that to play? l2p” and so on.

It has always been a recurring request for a “solo queue” option to be implemented for rated arenas, because people don’t want to spend hours/days to find people to play with. Which, ironically, is due to the lack of social glue in the social design for rated PvP.

Iam not as active as before. But iam sure that atleast 500 games over all characters a season with pugs mostly

It’s simple. Decline such people. That’s the whole trick. Even if it takes a bit longer. The higher rating you get the more will join voice

Yeah , the problem is the wait time for many classes because of balancing issues. On my DH i need 5 min for a 2k+ healer on my feral it can take 1-2h.

It’s just sad that balancing is almost as bad as in classic by now

I kinda have the feeling you never player really pvp. Rated arena gives you people to play with from time to time

But rated bg create friends for a live time. Hell we don’t even play rbg anymore and just randomly chill in voice chat , even so some won’t even play WoW.

The big issue I see here, is that you only look at the bottom part of retail, and ignore how it is once you pass that

I look at the masses. Which, as many people keep insisting, is the casual asocial players.

Let’s not even talk about taking only the masses in focus. But there is nothing i don’t love about your sentence.

As it just shows the problem. People think/ belive it. But with no really way of comparison

For example when I did scarlet monetary in classic the groups were basically. ( at Release )

1: hey
2: heeey
3…
4…
5. go ?

2 . hey , weren’t you the one who ninjalooted?

  1. no

  2. oh cool. Go

Doesnt proof anything but I could now also make a post about bad community and all. You see the problem ?

It really depends on when you did that, in the early days there was no dungeon without lots of chats going around, it started diminishing once ppl discovered spellcleave and started min-maxing and boosting.

Easier to observe the masses in the group finder interface and the ease of inviting ppl xrealm (and consequently the ease of leaving as soon as it goes wrong) than it is to observe the masses in Classic.

As for the rest of your post, personally, my leveling experience and pugging experience has always been rather social with most of the ppl I’ve played with having acted very socially amicable, in Classic.

It’s a pretty basic thing that exists in almost every matchmaking game. CSGO matchmaking for example wouldn’t work if premades queued against solo players. It just wasn’t a thing back in 2006

I don’t see why Blizz would implement this since it’s not vanilla, but at the same time I don’t understand why people are so against it. Isn’t the purpose of premading to have a challenge? Or is the argument that ranking would be to tedious due to actually having to pay attention to the screen and not stand at a graveyard killing respawners?
Seems like the opposition are scared to lose their free wins and be stomped by better premades.

Have a look at what? You’re retail skills? Frankly, I care 0 about that. I play Classic, not retail. CLASSIC. Now stop trying to make Classic into retail and just go back to retail, eh?

because even BGs in retail does not have a matchmaking system, and it’s absolutely not vanilla like at all. Why do people ask for changes in a recreation of a game that was? If you dont like it, dont play it. Kinda easy no?

and appears im way better than you even here in Classic.

https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/ashbringer/kikke

why dont you just go back to metin2 and grind blue wolfes?

You do know that everything is not on logs right? You do know that right? I dont have this NEED to show my self off as a better player. I play for FUN. ever heard of this mythical fun? And for me classic is fun. What a idiot trying to call anything out from logs while still hiding on his level 23 priest.

and his 120 DH in a top 150 world guild, his lv60 horde char and this character with im “hiding”, just becouse i have rerolled cos i have found a guild to raid with even here in classic.

you dont have to show yourself, but you have to diss retail every occasion you have.

At least be good in classic, otherwise you will appear like a buffon, as you are doin right now

Because I do not understand why retailers troll the classic forum with all of their retail changes. If you want retail, why not play retail?

No i just replied to you becouse you were dissing retail to act smart, while you are just a jester.

And to make it clear, i dont care/asked for any changes.

Maybe because it’s a forum and people are allowed to have different opinions ? Specially when people who have bad logs feel superior for some reason
