I believe I’ll see mah Kween return from the Maw for Midnight.
She’s responsible for slaughtering countless innocents and defiling not only their bodies but their very souls.
We’ve seen many characters killed off for far lesser crimes, yet mysteriously excuses are made for the likes of Vereesa and Sylvanas. I don’t consider the punishment to be sufficient. Redemption through a true death would have been better, in my opinion.
There’s many popular male characters who have been unceremoniously killed off, though.
The Purge of Dalaran during Mists of Pandaria. The Silver Covenant, at her behest, tortured innocent civilians (including feeding one of them to a shark in the sewers, beating them up, stealing from them and cutting them down where they stand).
For years this was a point of controversy but at no point was it treated with the same gravity as Garrosh doing the exact same thing.
So it’s a bit of a mess and makes it awkward when the story gets preachy about atrocities.
I used to be a lot more invested in the game’s story and the mishandling of such elements is why, despite being a role-player, I have largely distanced myself from it.
I was googling “Mah Kween wow npc” and 10 sec later …
Holy f. Damn u puny
You made me google ‘mah kween wow’ now and it did not disappoint
Like I said earlier;
I see. Well, it’s not the first time the story is incoherent.
Lol what is this thread…
I ve got triggered 10sec later because english is not my mothertongue.
Thinking that "hm why puny want mah kween back who s this “mah kween” oO "
“Mah…” “Kween”…
“My … Queen. Jeez ”
Midnight will present the perfect opportunity for Sylvanas to return from the Maw and help defend Silvermoon.
This may be pure copium on my part wishing to see her back.
No no.
Mcqueen. Lightning Mcqueen.
Its why i guess She ll come back.
I m not a Sylvannas servant, its just logic to see her back in midnight
Its a male car ! Without pointy ears
I am a Loyalist
I was pleased they didn’t kill her off.
And the perfect opportunity to get some heat on Xal’atath when she decapitates Sylvanas almost immediately.
Yeah!
Mcqueen! Mah kween!
I was a loyalist before when I weared weapon as a Paladin. Wearing the Forsaken tabard with the lady’s face
But what the dev did to her … They are the lich king of dev.
She deservs a 2nd chance
But now the lore is rigged
She comitted atrocities on pure will but at SL end
"Woopsie sorry it wasnt my fault i was influenced by the nipples guy "
I think the intro of Midnight will be with sylvanas.
After she did her work “well you did what we expect from you, now you can rest in peace with us” and she ll say “No, please… I want to help… My people… The lich king took me everything.”
"Hmm interessant! So be it !
But … Remember… We eye you "
Oh I agree they messed up her character so much. I will never forgive them for that.
Yes and what did that do? Send them to the Shadowlands, exactly where Sylvanas is right now. Do you see the issue?
My only will is : no veressa/alleria as leader of our people.
I dont like traitors and half elf babies
Oh, you’re a pandaren now?
I’m not sure the group of people you’re referring too is as big or scary as you make it sound man. Like I can tell, me and you are from the polar opposite side of the demographic but we’re not against each other. As I said above I really disliked SL too, with the exception of a couple of very dk friendly tmogs, everything else, straight to the bin.
I think that’s where we perceive things differently, and mind you I highly appreciate this very subjective. To keep things quick, here is how I see stuff:
50% general accessible to all
25% darker, more serious themes
25% just for fun, easy going themes
This would be a “let’s try and keep everyone happy ratio”
For me DF felt more like:
70% general (and mind you a lot of this felt extra stale)
5% dark, heavy
25% happy, cutesy
So maybe DF didn’t do much cutesy stuff as you say, but it sure did even less of the darker stuff.
And again, SL was just bad, it was like an emo kid trying to be edgy even though they come from an affluent and happy upper middle class family. There’s a distinctive difference between content that makes me go “oh damn that was heavy stuff I got to think about it for a moment” and straight up EEEeeeeEEeeeEEeEeEeeEdge. SL was the latter unfortunately.
Now as for the “pink tutus” and whatnot. Listen, I’m good with goblins and gnomes doing goofy inventions, dwarves being silly drunks, orcs being little dumdums and humans constantly throwing dad jokes. People want to collect cute pets? Go for it, I don’t need to engage with that. I’m more than happy there to be loads of “low fantasy” tmog items, and help people explore a simpler aesthetics, especially when those are very warcrafty in their aesthetic. But sailormoon isn’t wow. The same way that if they added Darth Vader or Vegeta’s like armour I would also complain about that. This isn’t Fortnight with constant cross promotional events for 10 year olds with ADHD.
Midnight is the great moment for a third faction
The Pointy Ear Legion !
No trolls and voidies, ewww
May the mists protect you.
It only takes a vocal minority sometimes.
I agree with that in general yes. And like I stated earlier; I’m glad it did because I needed that after Shadowlands which almost exclusively was dark and heavy and gloomy.
That is why I don’t mind the imbalance in DF. It was a counter to SL.
Now, I do hope they find their balance again in TWW.
Because even for me the end cinematic of the Amirdrassil raid was too much.
I agree. And I didn’t like that transmog either. But I can simply ignore it and focus on all the ones that I do like.
