Who the hell is in charge of these changes? Do you guys even play the game, like at all?
Druids farming MCPs, people trying to get HOJ, SGC, Briarwood, etc will get locked pretty damn fast with this horrible change. And since you can’t even see how many IDs you have left, you are risking getting locked from raids.
While bots will just switch to the next realm and stock gold there to keep selling.
Well done Blizzard, well done…

Did you consider the possibility that you checked at the wrong time? I did a /who stratholme alliance side on earthshaker when you posted that, and got 1 unguilded group. Now it gives 7 unguilded druids, 18 unguilded mages, 6 unguilded priests.
This fix is bad and you should feel bad.
this effects people getting their alts boosted or people giving boosts, people farm specific bosses for specific loots and maybe even people leveling in dungeons.
ban the bots, this fix will not change the number of bots running in the world.

Very good response.
Now bots will still bot, but increase the price of stuff they bot-farm, to cover losses.
So legit players who don’t know they are buying from bots, lose more money.
Pro-tip: I have heard private servers, such as Nostalrius, didn’t have problems with bots. Ask them how they did it.

I’d rate this bait 2/10.
Assuming it’s not a bait, YIKES.

This is utter horse st - I have levelled a character to 60 solely to farm mats to make it viable to raid with my main character. all this will do is wreck the economy and empower the gold selling community or is that the plan all along, to introduce your own buy gold token.
£20 a month and hundreds of hours for you now to do this, is either money motivated by trying to get us to buy shiy gold tokens or you can’t see the obvious downside to the economy by restricting the materials, in which case you shouldn’t be in the position of editing the mechanics of a video game. I suspect it is the former and if that buy gold token or whatever it is comes in is the time you will lose my subscription. fuming.

blood vine - more than 30 resets per 24 hrs to make gold to make it viable to have raiding consumables - the people who are saying it’s ridiculous to do 30 resets a day, obviously don’t raid to any standard.

100% my first posts are on this, this will ruin the economy and push prices up as well as promote the gold sellers, I suspect this is to ease in buy wow token. at that time I will quit.
Great… Rather than actually banning botters just apply a “solution” that also screws over legitimate players.

Quite sad to see everyone so upset, this was not what I wanted to sign up for.
This thread is crying out.
It feels like the drive for automation/cost efficiency is so strong that if the game needs to be broken then so be it.
Staffing didn’t require an army, provided they had the right tools and knowhow -and in this day and age, this is most certainly a possibility.
So many people upset.
It is such a put-off to logging on.

blizzard please dont do this. legimate players will be hurt by this. i actually boost my own low level char and would get hit by these limits. i actually do more then 30 lower level instances a day. for example for enchant mats, boosting a friend, guildy etc. and then going through an instance goes fast.
even worse: i will not be able to help guildies with dungeons requests because i do not want to reach my cap. or others guildies do not want or can not (reached limit) help me.
there are also legimate players doing so many dungeons. especially after the mage zeegers, is farming with a mage popular by REAL players.
imagine you signed up for a raid as prot tank and you cant play because on some other char you did tooooo many instances ? it is 30 cap for all your chars on the realm on your account.
raidleader: sorry we cant raid tonight because our geared tank has reached the 30 cap.
botters will not be affected by this. real players will be.

for example, our guildmaster did 10 runs (classic) just to get a certain item. she also helps a lot of guildies in speed runs on lower instances and does 30+ instances a day to help out guildies. imagine that a raid is organized but she can not join because by going inside she finds out she is locked for going into an instance.

totally if this is introduced I will never buy a blizzard game again, after 9 odd months working my back side off to try and get as good as I can get they decide to shift the goal posts. fk that.
This will hardly affect the stratholme bots at all. They will probably just add a few packs to their route to get close to the required 48 minutes per run average, including the run back after vendoring. They may increase their gold prices slightly to cover their losses, but overall it won’t have much impact on them.

100% genuine players punished for the failings of blizzard.

Well, classic behavior from a small indie company cough-cough
First it was #NoChanges, but we still have layers (and more will come with AQ gates)
First it was #NoChanges, but now we have double spawns on lotuses
First it was #NoChanges, but now we have such a terrible implementation of spellbatching, that even pservers were doing better
First it was #NoChanges, but now we’re about to get 4 additional bag slots for 2FA
First it was #NoChanges, now we get 30 resets per day
And I can keep going like this, but in the end - this is not the game i’ve subbed for
World of Warcraft 2005-2007

I have never ever posted on the forums before, but I have to reply to this. This is such a stupid change I don’t even know where to begin.
Suppose it’s 8pm on a Saturday evenining, I decide to farm for three hours and I do 15 instance lockouts, I go to bed at 11pm, wake up at 9 am, have breakfast, then at 10 am I farm for one hour, go do something else, and then farm again from 1pm to 3 pm. I would then be locked out for 5 hours.
What I just described is not even an hardcore playing, it’s just what a lot of people do on weekends.
And to those saying farming for 6 hours straight is unhealthy, just note that it doesn’t have to be 6 hours straight, it’s 6 hours in the past 24 hours.
This is just the worst possible way of handling with bots, congratulations for harming all the playerbase and basically achieving nothing since they will just make more accounts or bot on a different realm.

Old blizzard gone for sure, now only the “moneyhungry” Activison-Blizzard left, who took the part of the bots instead of the people. Current state of Classic and BFA is perfectly represent this behaviour.
Many mmorpgs came out but noone of them able to push down WoW to the dangerzone.
Maybe they believed whatever they do, people still gonna pay for it. Well i think this situation will be the 1st real impact of their downfall.

There would be way better methods of accomplishing this.
This is like shooting ducks with a cannon, its as simple as that.
More like shooting cockroaches with a shotgun in a house full of people
