Thanks for the warning mate. I’ve been looking into getting the information from the API in some way but with what you have discovered I strongly suspect that it’s impossible.
The behaviour your describe implies a separate tracking system for the Instance Ticket was implemented for the 24h lockout. Because if it was just using the 5/1h lockout with different parameters it would be nigh impossible for this bug to occur.
I’ve been told by support that there is no way to display that information in the base game “but that an addon would surely be available quickly”. No reply after telling them I’m trying to come up with an addon for it and so far drawing a blank.
Ignore the fact that this actually made gold farming bots more profitable (less competition from normal players hardfarming, thus more benefit per time).
Ignore the fact that it is hurting legitimate players.
Even then the mere fact that you CANNOT actually check how many lockouts you have available is completely unacceptable. This is absolute effin bs.

Let’s do what we can to be heard and have this 30 instance cap removed.
Write tickets, comment on the forums, share the information and sign up on petitions.
Legitimate players should not be punished because Blizzard is having problems dealing with bots. They are failing at their job to enforce the EULA and dare to punish us in the process. Unacceptable!

How exactly are bots harmed by this cap? have one bot per realm and you’ll never ever be hindered by this.
“normal” players who have one account and 1main 1alt though… yeh they can for sure hit the limit pretty fast.

You are saying valuable points. Although the Trump comment is a bit Inapropriate and uncalled for. About the rest i really don’t know what to say. I’m not sure as to the stance of Blizzard towards the use of pathing or Hiding behind objects to drop combat. I don’t know if they call this Clever use of mechanics/terrain or if this is a Exploit that is against one rule or another. My hat off to you sir for pointing this out. If we’d consider these things to be Exploitative then yes the Limit is needed. The only point i can make on behalf of that is that there is no tools or 3rd party interference to get these things to happen therefor i would consider this a clever use of mechanics/terrain. So is Blizzard adressing the Botting situation? Yes. Is the dungeon limit Waranted? Not to my opinion but this all depends if the point you said is or isn’t falling under the Exploitative part of the OP’s Post.
Did Blizzard even have a meeting about this? smh

Be carefull though that this doesn’t turn into a Herrasment thing. I’ve Tweeted about it in a outrage to Customer Support and they’ve Nicely send me to the forums. So let’s hope by making some noise about this we can see eather a Increase of the cap to 50-60 Which some think is more reasonable or the removal of the Daily Limit which seems to have a lot of support across all forums.

I do 30+ for gold farm, playing a lot of alts… who even care who gonna do 100+ runs or why, i can jump 24h per day in game its my fokin right…

Exactly. It seems like some people are basing this on the simple view that “if I cannot do it others should not be allowed to”. It’s very selfish and close-minded.
Everyone should be able to do what they want, when they want and as many times as they want, as long as it does not violate the EULA ofc.

people still hoping to farm hoj / sgc or briarwood? why the hell do they have to deal with a 30 instance lockout from now on? when everyone had 120 lockouts a day since the release???
can we maybe set this up for specific dungeons / raids only?
nonethelesss who ever came up with this might aswell get fired next monday, as this shows how much that person doesnt play the game on a regular daily basis. why have these type of persons making these decisions? …

This is an absolutely HORRIBLE change, I have played the game for 3 hours so now I only got 15 dungeons left for the day… Could you at the VERY VERY least make it so I can see how many lockouts I have left? This is an incredibly bad change for anyone doing dungeon runs; boosting, farming specific items (HoJ,SGC etc.), coffer runs… Blizzard please take proper action against botters instead of this shotgun change that harms, pretty much everyone but the people who bot and exploit, they don’t care about lockouts, as they will just have more accounts anyway they can use…
