I strongly disagree with this change and hope that you will reconsider because this - in all facets of it - hurts the legitimate players far more than it does those who would abuse the game regardless.

The bots that go into Strath/Mara/ZG and automate their actions farming those dungeons consistently need to be eliminated, not slapped on the wrist and told to get more accounts.

They already use those bots/scripts across tens of accounts at a time, and due to the gross automation of those scripts, and abusing the terrain (e.g. ZG wall jumps and running around in the air without being hit by mobs) they can get more accounts to farm on, because the gear requirement for a mage that abuses the game and doesn’t get hit by mobs is minimal. The bots that do ZG solo farms wear nothing more than lvl 40 gear because they do not need anything better as they are abusing the terrain to achieve their farm.

Their earnings from doing this is far outweighed by the cost of getting double the number of accounts to do even more automated boosting.

All this will result in is more bots in the game, active for less hours at a time.
It will also hurt legitimate players who on their off days want to farm and grind to make their consumables and equip their alts.

You need to take an example from the runescape devs and actually do something about the bots. It can be in waves, or however you decide, but it has to be done. For as long as wow classic has existed there have been bots consistently grinding specific spots and nothing done about them.

Now, instead of taking action against the actual bots’ accounts, you are changing the game to hurt the legitimate portion of people who actually enjoy being able to grind an instance, and reset it and try again, and not worry about resetting too many times within a day because this will cap them out and they won’t be able to join a raid, or worse, farm more!

The game is legitimately built around farming endlessly for one thing or the other, you cannot possibly suggest that limiting our ability to run dungeons is a good and proportionate response. It should follow legitimate attempts of eliminating those bots, not be your first response, without considering your actual “real” player base.

So NetEase, the Chinese company responsible for the game in China just banned 100k+ accounts for botting, but here in Europe we got a maximum on instances.

Never imagine I would agree with China’s decision.

Bots give them money. No need to argue with Blizzard, they just don’t care (even though they pretend they do). I have lost hope for this company for many years now, maybe you should do the same.

GJ. Blizzard Your brain is limited too…
Let us play this game as we want. Remove this $!@$@ bots but stop giving any limits to legit players. We love to farm our epic stuff in dungeons. I love running to Maraudon to kill solo Princess and I don’t need any limit for this. If You want to do this change, then increase chance for epic loot from instances!!! This is not right way to get rid of bots… This is the way for people to cancel their Subs…

P.S. Yes, we have phones, but we don’t need Diablo Immortal.

Nice, just punish all the legit players instead of banning the botters. Nice one blizz.

The ironic thing is that this policy possibly hurts the game even more than the botters ever will.

true. i dont know why people even defend or applaud eu blizzards actions  some people Think they just posetive when they accept this behavior

So all the botters need to do is to cycle between 4 realms every 6 hours? GREAT.

So, like most people here have pointed out:

  • You are limiting legitimate players while not actually targetting bots
  • You will by this offset lost subscribers probably by bots buying new subscriptions
  • You will make bots also just rotate servers when 30-cap is hit on an server

Why is this your way to go on about it? I’d understand if you’d specify that you don’t like boosting or dungeon grinding in general, but this is not the solution against bots. To me it seems just hypocritical, but I guess your instance servers are just smoking at this point.

Did you guys seriously not consider that it’s possible for players to legitimately hit this cap, severely diminishing player experience?
In my case im Booster, I boost around 4 hours a day, what means I get to that 20 cap in 4 hours.
The rest of the day I usually play my alts, either doing quest, dungeons, or getting boosted. If that hotfix goes out, you are not going to stop botters but me and other legitimate players.

not that I would do 30 instances a day but others do and I dont think this is a good change because it doesnt even target botters but legitimate players …

“We have no idea how to stop bots so screw all of you”

Thanks Blizzard, competent as always.

And also me, when I take a flipping day of vacation to farm up for my regular raiding? Just because you are extremely casual doesn’t mean everyone else is…

Great change blizzard, instead of banning damn bots keep screwing over real players, how am I supposed to farm herbs or mines now if I can’t do dungeons but outside dungeons will be all desolated because it’s already full of bots anyway. Maybe hire some damn people to look over bots instead of fapping to $$$$ ?
Imagine trying to fish for Jed and getting “you can’t enter more dungeons for 24h” or trying to farm princess dagger/strat mount, SGC or boost low level chars.
The game is so screwed already by overpop and bots in big servers that the only way too play the game is instanced content, so after this I literally can only play 6 hours and day, nice damn paid service. only need a message like in phone games to tell me to log tomorrow for more content. Not to talk that making this server wide is retarded, at least make it acc wide so you guys can farm more accounts from bots. kekw company im done

I will open a support ticket everytime I hit this limit and so should everyone else. They want to save money? Swamp them.

30 instances a day is 48 minutes per instance (24 * 60m / 30 = 48m)

This will likely have zero effect on the Stratholme bots.

Well done Blizzard, you can’t even apply the band-aid to the correct arm that’s broken.
