Forcing people to communicate and have ‘‘nice community’’ is never going to work as long as there are 50 WTS BOOST spams every 3 seconds on proper channels.
And finally,there’s private wotlk server that has 15 k people online,with dung finder system,that’s been around for more than 10 years,with new people joining every single day.
Judging by this new ‘‘no changes’’ system,that same private server is going to be around for a long long time,i bet they are crying of happiness since blizzard announce no rdf.
Those who have problem with it are streamers who can find groups in 0.5 seconds.
It seems to me like blizzard is always trying to find new ways for boosters to have a job,in order for their ‘‘offshore’’ gold selling 'sites to flourish.
I leveled 4 chars to 50+.Only one time i was able to find group (non boosting one) for SM GY.
There’s going to be a time in WOTLK where most people dont need gear,and where most people are max level(like atm) and LFG is going to die slowly,and there wont be any runs except boost.
That same thing is happening now.No one wants to bother with dungeons,because of searching.People either buy boost or do quests,and that’s it.
Basically all that crap talk ‘‘no changes’’ doesnt matters unless certain system benefits blizzard,then its ‘‘yes changes,but its for your own good you guys…’’

The uproar has been massive and it’s quite easy to tell the majority are against this change.
And people ultimately stopped communicating inside dungeons when LFD was introduced because now they didn’t even have to say a word to get a group. Taking the time to form a group and communicate to get to the dungeon broke that barrier, and if someone wasn’t replying or paying attention to chat, you just kicked that person before you pulled the first mob.
LFD felt like playing with a bunch of bots
Let’s be completely honest here, besides spamming /LFG and spamming people /inv to get into a group in TBCC there isn’t really much communication going on in a dungeon group, whether it’s a heroic or a normal dungeon. That doesn’t have anything to do with LFD but with the way the content is so easy that communication isn’t necessary.
TBCC is broken on higher populated realms, with the amount of people spamming the chat to get into dungeons it’s virtually impossible for you to get into a group for a random heroic if you are a spec that’s deemed to not be meta or brings enough to the table.
Just look at rogues, ferals, retri paladins, etc. It’s a mess.
I would rather take my chances with a LFD tool that automatically groups me up with people from my own realm than dealing with another expansion where I have to pay tanks and healers a commodity to run a dungeon for me.
Current TBCC groups as pretty much as silent as retail dungeon finder groups.

The group only erupts when a wipe happens and that’s when people start leaving and in those moments i really wish we had RDF.

Well no shet people don’t want to group with you if you expect your party member to run the dungeon for you. They are meant to run the dungeon with you.

Now i get why LFD is so important to you. You’re the kind of player who mostly afk but just active enough so players don’t notice and kick you. I remember your kind. Not so uncommon when you start looking for your ilk, especially in low level dungeons.
You’re not wrong with that statement, dungeons are meant to be done with your group. However, tanks and healers are offering their services because they are aware of the TBCC situation and are exploiting that. That already says a lot.
LFD removes that and gives everyone an equal ground upon joining the instance. And Vexenar is not “expecting” them to do it for him, he’s paying them to do it for him because he’s also aware of the TBCC situation. There’s a difference.
If you were to actually play semi-AFK in LFD, chances are you would get vote-kicked. And LFD doesn’t change that behavior anyway, you can semi-AFK play in TBCC just as easily. That’s a player problem and not a system problem.
Why O why do you beautiful, precious, lovely, wonderful, special, smooth brained, dim-wits keep repeating the same obviously super fricking wrong notion that LFD solves the tank shortage problem and tank service problem(if you wanna call it a problem).
LFD does not increase supply of tanks(duh). And it does not make is so you can’t sell your tanking services. 4 players can just as easily get to gather and pay gold to a tank for him to join their group and and use LFD With Them. Which means that tank will not get queued up with you of course.
This was a thing back in the day and yet everyone of you calming to want wrath the way you used to have it, somehow have collective amnesia when it comes to this.
It’s almost as if you didn’t play it or you were 8 years old back then and didn’t understand a lick of English but you just remember that LFD button goes brrrr.
no but I can continue do my staff while waiting… I can do quests, gather materials, do crafting, chat with my friends/guildmates while waiting my group… instead of spam one hour in chat to get a group… if you cann understand how big of a difference this is then not our problem
I genuinely find it baffling that so many of you can’t do that and look for group in tbcc.
Genuine question: Can you chew gum and walk at the same time? or do you have to stand still to chew followed by seconds of walking and repeat?

Apparently you have a severe case of reading comprehension, because if you actually bothered to read any post I made you would see that I am asking no one to run a dungeon for me. Stop pretending like dungeon grouping in TBCC is anything more than “inv” when you run dungeons, and that getting into a group depending on your spec/class combi can be quite challenging because of how meta-oriented people are.
My entire issue is that people should stop pushing for the absence of a system in favor of an arbitrary, tedious and inefficient alternative. I’m willing to forego things like the automatic teleport but instant grouping needs to happen in order to give everyone (yes, even hybrid specs) a level playing field.
Any meaningful social interaction has and always will come from healthy guilds. LFD has nothing to do with that, and just because you’re in a healthy guild doesn’t magically give you access to 4 other people whom will cover all roles needed all the time for you to run dungeons with, also at your current level range.
Those are baseless accusations, where did I mention any of that?
Again, you’re suffering from reading comprehension and are making baseless claims while you haven’t bothered reading any of my posts.
As I mentioned earlier leveling dungeons are non-existent on TBCC due to the current grouping “system” we have, in practice this system is extremely annoying to use and as a result of that people are flocking to add-ons which I doubt is the developers their intent.
Furthermore you can’t find any groups unless it’s a boosting service, if you added LFD to TBCC tomorrow, you’d be able to find groups from levels 15-70 as any role within 30 mins or less, any time. All the while being able to quest or do whatever other activities you want while waiting.
People selling boosts do far more damage to the “community” of the game than LFD ever could, in what world is paying gold to have someone else 1 shot the entire dungeon for you 5 times in a row a better community/social experience than having an automated system to find a group for you, where you would actually participate in the dungeon?
you must be a phenomenal person… can just play the game while also reading 100 messages per minute and doing your rotation, etc. NASA should experiment with for the bright future of humanity…

i do think i am a reasonable and fairly intelligent but i don’t think i’m as extraordinary as you decribe. I’m actually quite a slow reader but i can look for a group or make a group and mine nodes at the same time.
