Maybe, but TBC buff meta left basically no slots for second feral, and the one in the hunter group was bear MT.
Yeah that sucks, but you rarely ever saw cat players in TBC anyways
That is because at 1.12 patch, most raids are very easy as they were designed for earlier patches.
And yes, you donāt need top dps or all buffs. MC can be done with 25 men, so it does not matter if you have some feral druids chilling as well on top of that 25 men.
I am just saying it does not matter for progressions. Most raids are doable with 25 to 30 people. The rest can just come along, add something and fill up the spots. Plus, extra innervate+rebirth does not hurt.
Some ferals used to have that stupid mask and had a very stressful time to be relevant. I would never do that, I would just spam shred and with this dot limit removal, do some dots.
So whatās the concern? That people donāt want unusual specs in their raids? Just find yourself a nice guild that isnāt too concerned with clear speed, they might even appreciate any utility you bring. I myself used to be in a guild that had a geared ret tank, which was great at holding AoE threat, something that was great for me as a mage main
But I want big healz, big green numberz, raaawwrrā¦
you are bad so ur point is invalid. stick to era, damn classic andy
In GW2 hybrids (such as a core celestial elementalist with scepter) are perfectly viable, efficient even. Their damage is lower, but they have an easy time. Plus there is build storageā¦
I see that you compare feral to fury but itās not the actual point - but healers (and tanks).
Healers are so slow outdoors that they cannot really compete.
There are workarounds but most of them are clumsy one way or another.
Allowing to swap between some builds allows these players to fulfil their expected roles without compromising their ability to enjoy the world. Still not worth it money-wise, not only because builds have a price but also dungeon wealth is limited. Only an option for those who actually wish to heal.
I am 100% a human Kisdan.
Like you pinch me and I bleed kinda human.
You really arguing Mage isnāt OP in vanilla pvp? Lmao.
Mage main: āThe version where my class is the undisputed king of pvp is the only true one. Any change that doesnāt make everyone else content for me to enjoy is violating the spirit of the gameā
Sure man.
What a weird argument you are making.
My brother has a full BiS hunter - Dominates banana like no other in WSG.
He also has a full BiS Elemental Shaman - 2 buttons and insta deletes people.
He also has a full BiS SPriest - Canāt be killed and is ultra strong in 1 on 1.
Have you played against Logannax, the rogue, in any sort of capacity in PvP?
Have you played against Orcazmo the Warrior and his pocket healer Powerstation the paladin? They have a 90%+ BG winning rate.
Have you played against all of druids who are basically untouchable as flag carriers in WSG?
Have you gotten rekt by a shadowbolt from Bitemi, the warlock who hits you with 4k+ candy shadowbolts?
You probably havenāt - And hence why you do not know what you are talking about.
Youāre literally trying to tell me you would lose against anyone in PVP as a mage - in vanilla. I donāt know what to tell you man, but I understand now why you hide in the solved game version where your class is OP to hell and back.
And no, I donāt know any of these people. PVP in classic is like compstomping, only the people who canāt hack it in other modes are even ever interested or participate, and even those can be, as youāve just now shown, extremely out of touch.
Thank you! Letās move on now.
Plot twist on retail wich by far the version of the game where there is the most elitist community (and the most elitist content as well). + dual specs inside the raid !!!
There is no class or close to no class stacking in raid mythic (even during the race to world first) the max stacking of a spec is 2-3.
In the same time class and specs unique abilitys have more utility in retail than hibrids ones in vanilla, like 3% crit spell aura buff from boomie wich is useless in comparaison to the dps loss from picking up a boomie in your raid.
So im not sure that if you buff feral to near the dps output of warrior you would preffer stacking feral than warrior, the fact is you want to stack warrior because there is nothing capable to match the dps output so you have to put warrior to max dps.
If there is multiple specs that are close in term of perf (more or less 5% dps), you will bring them all in raid because you want diversity for gear sharing and less demands on specific items. + unique abilities of each class/specs .
You just have to look at what retail raid comps look like and what vanilla raid comps look like (270 raid logs on naxx has enh sham on warcraft logs against 90000+ has warrior dps everything is fine classic is great)
you are a total dumbass ( IT REMOVES THE āāSPECāā aspect of classes ) No you moron and here is why, to gate it by gold which becomes a inconvenience to change the spec in the first place is what kills the aspect of specs, 99% of the players already minmax their talents which leaves 0 room to fk around and try different talents and playstyles that classic can offer
and before you say you can go respec or w/e no you cant it costs gold which is a time investment in itself = gated and it feeds a negative feeling to be doing it which makes people less likely to experience other talents in a class and there are 3 different trees for each class
How often do you see a fire mage leveling hmm? or a rogue not going combat etc everyone just plays what is (optimal)
Usually those guilds have tendency to take unusual specs because they canāt attract enought warriors rogues and mages. If they do, you get replaced because your purple logs do less dps that warrior with green or other with blue logs.
Feral cats, shadow priests, boomies, elemental and enchance shamansā¦ Name me a hybrid that is isnāt total bottom tier BS in PvE, because of poor scaling and mana issues and only having somewhat use in PvP due to burst potential before they go oom there as well.
Vanilla whit 40 man raids is and will be the only time od ducks is accepted, you just need to end up in a non hardcore guild.
The good part is you can have a spec to help you forward and one you like to playe.
People are so min max focused now days so we need dualspec for people to have fun.
It is peopleās fault though.
If we were on 1.1 patch sure, but at 1.12 patch, no content is relevant.
MC is doable with 25 men. You can bring whoever you want to fill up the spots.
Hardcore guilds ruin the essence of vanilla.
And if we gave feral druids same dps as warriors, nobody would take warrior because they are useless bunch of steel. I prefer having a druid who can innervate, battle rez and etc.
I was honoring my vanilla (2006 main) feral, planned to be OOT, became resto first, then cat/OOOT in second guild in 2019-2020. Never again am I going feral in Vanilla Classic content.
You gotta love the joy some in the anniversary crowd bring to the table.
Itās a shame you have such a bleak view on it, though itās understandable, but I can speak from personal experience that there are guilds out there who care more about having a fun social experience than clearing the content 20 or 30 minutes faster
