[PCU] Troll Military RP - Painted Shields 🛡

Troublesome times have happened as of late for the Shields, with Tetrarch Kezuga having been exiled for his crimes of murder during a holy pilgrimage, and Talanjite Parata having disappeared on the same night, but as of today they have gained a new Tetrarch by the War-God’s decree, Flamespeaker Jaha’as, one that will hopefully help the Seventh Rastari Cohort recover and rebuild from their losses.

“Grave-robbers, defilers of the dead, crimes against the spirits!” All words told by the Revantusk tribe’s speakers as they asked the Zandalari Empire for aid against this desecration of their ancestors. Words that the Seventh Rastari Cohort were sent to answer.

Quickly after having arrived within the Hinterlands, the Rastari scoured the land, coming across a lake, horned Draenei fiends, and a collection of troll bones. It was simple for the Rastari warriors to put two and two together, quickly engaging in combat against the thieves despite what they may have protested. After a brief skirmish the Seventh Rastari had managed to push back the Draenei, and recover the troll bones by the lake, but the thieves themselves remained unpunished in their eyes.

Over the night a ritual occurred within the depths of Shadra’alor, one that darkened the sky and drew the attention of both Rastari and Draenei to the temple city. It was there that a brief alliance was formed to cleanse the temple of whatever was corrupting it. Together this brief team-up purged the holy sight of the Vilebranch who were desecrating it, who revealed themselves as the true culprits of the grave robberies, having created an abomination, construct for a foul Loa to fight against the Luminous Order and Rastari force.

After a long battle, the tense alliance came to an end, the Draenei quickly fleeing the temple with their wounded once the construct of bones fell, while the Rastari returned to Revantusk village to in form the tribe of the grim use their dead had been stolen for.

A call for aid came from the Horde to the Seventh Rastari: Brackenwall Village, the home of the Stonemaul Ogres, was under threat from a growing force of undead within Dustwallow Marsh. Honouring the alliance between the Empire and the Horde, the Rastari came to aid in the defence of the Horde and Ogre lands, keeping Brackenwall village standing against a siege of skeletons, but with no Necromancer in sight the search of the raiser of the dead had to start.

For the second day within the swamp the Rastari and their allies split into two groups to better search for the Necromancer, with the Seventh Cohort embarking south with some of their allies, come across a ruined tower and further undead. After having cut through the small group of undead, the combined forces of the Horde and the Empire took prisoner an Orcish Necromancer who was in command at this ruined tower.

By the third day a few of the Empire’s allies had moved into Mudsprocket, protecting it from any potential dangers just as they had for Brackenwall. But it was not a siege that came to Mudsprocket, instead an undead dragon took flight through the skies, drawing the forces from both Brackenwall and Musprocket to chase it down…Leading them towards the ruins of Onxyia’s lair, and another army of Necromancers and skeletons, lead directly by an Ogre! At the end of the battle, almost every unit of the undead forces were cut down, including their Ogre leader. With that, the immediate threat was vanquished from Dustwallow Marsh, and the Stonemaul Ogres were kept safe by the victory of the Horde and the Empire.

Complaints had been crying out through the Terrace of the Speakers from the Bloodscalp tribe, claims of their ancient rivals, the Skullsplitters, turning to even fouler magic and messing with the spirits and those who’d entered the Other Side long ago. Eventually their continuous complaining granted them the Empire’s attention, a meeting between a duo of Bloodscalp and Skullsplitter speakers to show their complaints and evidence directly in front of the Rastari was organised to occur within Stranglethorne. But by the time the Rastari had reached the jungle, they found only the Bloodscalp speaker dead and the Skullsplitter was nowhere to be found.

Soon the Bloodscalp’s spirit was drawn out of his body, and, unaware of the Rastari next to him, began walking towards the tribe’s graveyard. Several other spirits were found, all being shortly freed to the Other Side upon being shown that they had died. But after more searching, the source of the issue was soon found, a set of Skullsplitter totems lurking within the graveyard, hexxing the Bloodscalp’s lost members, dragging them into Undeath and away from the Other Side. For their aid in this issue, the Rastari were welcomed into Zul’Kunda by the Bloodscalps for the night, to prepare to strike back at the Skullsplitters.

With the evidence stacking against the Skullsplitters, the Seventh Rastari set off through the Jungle and towards Zul’Mamwe. There, they encountered several traps set up for the Empire’s soldiers, waves of Undead, and a Necromancer. After destroying said Necromancer’s forces and his altar, the Rastari had left a lesson to the Skullsplitters of what happens when they mess with the spirits of those on the Other Side, one that would hopefully stick.

Tonight we held a ceremony with our Horde allies in Orgrimmar, medals being given out for our time and deeds during the Gloomspire Expedtion that ended only a week ago. And with that ceremony, we also raised one of our Shieldmons to Bloodied one: Arcanital Beni’ya!

If any troll wishes to help fight for a better future under the Zandalari Empire, or simply enjoy the stories of our War-God’s heroic deeds, then come and find us!

God, imagine Belfs helping Zandalari purify a forest troll town?
Lucky there were legions of undead trolls being raised to justify this heresy.

Yet again the Temple of Akunda called for aid as more troubles arose in Vol’dun, this time the issue was caused by issues with the spirits acting up more than usual, angry and agitated. The Seventh Rastari were sent out to inspect the issue, and within their search they found a set of followers of the forgotten Loa Mueh’zala preparing a ritual to send souls to their Loa to increase his strength in hopes of freeing him from the captivity of Bwonsamdi. After having disrupted the ritual, the Rastari moved to the Vulpera Hideaway to recover for the night

By the next day the Cohort moved out to put down the remaining ritual being committed by the followers of Mueh’zala, and there they found not only follows of the Father of Sleep, but a far more insidious set of opponents…Knights of the Ebon Blade, ones who’d also come to put an end to the rituals. The presence of the Knights let the two groups make swift work of Mueh’zala’s remaining followers, and soon the Loa of Graves, Bwonsamdi, began to collect the spirits Mueh’zala’s followers had been wishing to sacrifice. But within the ranks of the Ebon Blade were trolls, too, those who had been yanked from Bwonsamdi’s grasp and forced into Undeath slavery. As the Ebons refused to part with the spirits of the trolls in their ranks, Bloodied one Beni’ya issued a command to the Rastari to strike at the Knights and take the spirits of the troll Death Knights by force.

But even upon the dunes of a Zandalari desert, the Rastari were forced to pull-back due to their continued injuries, allowing the Ebon Blade to escape back to whatever dark place they’d crawled out from. In the end, the Rastari Cohort were successful in their official mission, having halted the rituals that disrupted the spirits, but they had nothing more than dire injuries and a lost battle to show for their extra efforts against the ranks of the Ebon Blade.

Same goals in mind to end a threat but all that gold made them greedy.
You will not be taking the knights of the Ebon Blade!

Was fun! We must do that again!

A decree, a command, echoed out from the higher parts of the Priest-Caste: “Find the missing Kaja’mite”

Over recent days the Empire’s remaining Kaja’mite stores had gradually gotten far shorter than it was expected to become. Recovering the crystals would be crucial for the Priest-Caste to continue performing certain rituals to the Loa and Spirits. A theft of some kind was the believed cause, with tiny shards of Kaja’mite being found across the eastern side of Zuldazar, the Seventh Rastari Cohort were sent to search around the coast of Talanji’s Rebuke for any sign of the Kaja’mite or those who took them.

Upon the shore they found a few small collections of the Kaja’mite, being guarded by hired Pirates and goons, with a Pirate vessel arriving upon the coast to collect the stolen crystals. The Rastari, however, failed in their attempts to catch the ship, being stalled by cannon fire and more hired-muscle long enough for the vessel to escape. But they were able to find a group of Gilgoblins who’d defected from the Pirate crew, returning the few bits of Kaja’mite they personally had, and offering their aid in exchange for their own survival after stealing from the Empire. With this aid, the Seventh were able to find out the vessel’s next location: The dunes of Tanaris.

Travelling across the waves upon their own vessel, the Loa’s Reprisal, the Seventh Rastari arrived in the sands to confront the Pirates and their docked ships. After a quick wander around the seemingly empty docks, they were caught yet again in a barrage of cannon fire alongside a Saurok ambush. After having gotten past the ambush, the Rastari moved upon the first of the two vessels, locating a few more shards of Kaja’mite and several sets of maps, but their investigation was interrupted by a group of returning Pirates. The battle on the ship was cut short, however, once it was fired upon by the Pirate Crew’s second vessel while it fled the docks, resulting in the Rastari being forced to abandon the ship, and returning to Zandalar with failure and the need to continue the hunt for the Pirate crew in the near future.

After having been caught in failure in our hunt for the Pirates who stole Zandalar’s precious Kaja’mite, our search has been paused for a few days as to figure out the Pirate’s next move so we may then take back what is and was the rightful property of the Empire

The decree from the Priest-Caste only week ago still rung true: “Find the Kaja’mite”

Signs pointed to the Pirate Crew’s reappearance being upon the coast of Azshara and other locations around Horde territory. For a task so close to Horde land, the Seventh Rastari hired a group of mercenaries known as the “Red Venturers” to aid them in combating this threat. as well as helping find the Kaja’mite that had been stolen off Zandalar a week ago. Together, the combined forces embarked on a search to the southern coast of Azshara, along the way encountering a trail of misdeeds done by the Pirate crew, and eventually discovering the Pirates themselves waiting for a ship to arrive in order to collect themselves, alongside a stolen Goblin machine. Said machine was soon broken by one of the Mercenaries, destroying the Pirates’ goal, along with the hard-work of many Goblin engineers.

The next the two groups had merely a few clues to go on for the Seagor Crew’s next move: The name “Sleeson” that apparently belonged to a Forsaken within the Northern Barrens, and the belief that the Pirates sought to kidnap them. This manhunt across the barrens sent the Rastari and Mercenary combo through the Crossroads, to the Stagnant Oasis, and finally to a cliff-side over Ratchet where they found both the Pirates and Sleelson who’d been kidnapped by the corsairs for the secrets to her intellect boosting potions.

During their time in the Northern Barrens, the Horde forces had managed to learn from questioning several Seagor members that their Pirate vessel would upon the next day to collect them. And when they next day came, so too did the Pirate ship. With this chance in the open, the Rastari and Mercenaries boarded and took over the ship through several tactics, disposing of the Pirates and uncovering their plans for the night, discovering the location of the crew’s “Paymaster” , a dock within Thousand Needles, and presumably the location of the missing Kaja’mite.

After setting sail, the combined group followed the maps that had been left aboard the ship, soon reaching Thousand Needles itself. The confrontation with the Paymaster came soon after, revealing it to have been an Ogre Sorcerer who sought to steal anything he could to boost his intellect. But soon the Ogre Captain and his most loyal goons were felled by the combined might of the Seventh Rastari and Red Venturers, the Ogre’s corpse being teleported out to sea and lost forever, while the Kaja’mite was returned to Zandalar by the casting of Arcanital Beni’ya, and thus finally succeeding in the decree that had been shouted out from the Priest-Caste one long week ago.

And so our Pirate Hunting adventures come to a close for now as we’ve managed to recover the stolen Kaja’mite thanks to the efforts of the great folk over in the Red Venturers! But we’ll still been in Orgrimmar and Kalimdor for a little at least. So if you wish to come serve the Empire and fight for a better time for troll-kind, then you know where to find us!
