Northrend had always been a lawless continent, a land of creators and destroyers which was settled with the sole purpose of wreaking vengeance would never see peace amongst its dwindling numbers of inhabitants. Most regions of Northrend, for this reason, were sparsely populated; yet the lush forests and babbling brooks of the Grizzly Hills were home to many people, of both the Alliance and Horde. This was not because of the views, nor the fresh air, but because of one thing which was always at the forefront of the endless conflict between the Alliance and Horde. Resources.
One day, however, the aurora borealis which illuminated the hills was choked out and the evening sky turned scarlet red as men clad in blue, with lion crests adorning their chests swept across the Blue Sky Logging grounds, slaughtering every Bilgewater Goblin and Steamwheedle contractor in sight. Sawmills burned and pipes were sabotaged, the squad of soldiers fleeing the scene of destruction, leaving cloaks and shields of the Alliance behind them. Within days, the Horde accused the Alliance of incident, the symbols were clear. Within a week, the commander of the Alliances forces in the region had been hacked down as he marched upon the gates of Conquest Hold, spitting yarns about how his soldiers weren’t responsible and accusing the Horde of various disappearances at the Westfall Brigade Encampment.
As expected, skirmishes soon broke out across the hills, the Alliance’s second in command, a diplomatic, pale faced woman seeming to turn into a zealot at the flick of the wrist, the Hordes commander soon being shipped back to Bilgewater Harbour to explain to the Cartel as to why there reports were coming in that Bilgewater resource operations were being assaulted by Alliance forces across the region. And thus, within a month, forces of the Horde and the Alliance would heed their respective calls to arms, unknowingly playing into the hands of enemies who work both with the shadows, and the light…
FORCES OF THE HORDE:
The Bilgewater Cartel and High Command call upon YOU to aid Battalion forces in reclaiming and securing resources operations in the Grizzly Hills of Northrend!
Bilgewater logging camps across the region are under attack from the COWARDLY Alliance who initiated the conflict, with the once free port of Venture Bay becoming the epicentre of conflict between Alliance and Horde forces. The Horde war machine must move in force against the Alliance who have seem to have forgotten our might and TAKE BACK what was carved out to us under the Boy Kings armistice for the sake of reclaiming crucial resources which shall aid in the Horde’s recovery from the Fourth War which THEY started.
If you seek to assist in protecting what is ours, send word to the BILGEWATER BATTALION at their base in Bilgewater Harbour who shall pass your show of willingness on to command.
HEROES OF THE ALLIANCE:
The throne of Stormwind calls upon you for for aid in the protection of settlements throughout the Grizzly Hills in Northrend which are under attack by the fiendish Horde!
The Horde has spun a web of lies and falsehoods, claiming that we would attack Bilgewater Goblins and even those who are neutral under the banner of the Steamwheedle Cartel and innocent civilians across Grizzly Hills in their SAVAGE response! The Alliance gryphon must swoop down upon the enemy in force if we are to protect the people of the Grizzly Hills, and secure resources which may prove crucial to the rebuilding of our homes in the wake of the Fourth War which THEY started.
All brave champions of the Alliance who wish to assist in acting as guardians to the people of Northrend must forward their interest to the Military Ward of Ironforge, for such a crude betrayal of our peoples trust must never trouble the King.
Heya all,
With Shadowlands fast approaching, I’ve decided to start a series of campaigns which shall depict the final events which occurred on the cold continent of Northrend before Sylvanas changes everything forever. This campaign series is intended to be focused around conflict RP, depicting Northrend in the wake of the fall of the Lich King, the Argent Crusade losing some of its grip over keeping the peace after the death of Tirion Fordring and just generally giving everyone good footing in the lore behind Northrend going into Shadowlands. This first campaign shall start off the series with the Grizzly Hills, where the Alliance and Horde in the region have failed to uphold the peace between each other as they fall into conflict over resources and accusations of murder and treachery.
Conflict RP essentially involves using the Elixir of Tongues and the addon Cross RP to stage battles and skirmishes between the Horde and Alliance without using restricted PVP which can attract certain undesirable individuals. Some events will be preset, but this campaign is all about people interacting with the zone and creating their own stories with this campaign setting as a basis. I shall be releasing little advancements on what is happening in Grizzly Hills as the story adapts to circumstances caused by player interaction in the lead up to the finale.
This is the first campaign me and my officers have ran, but we look forward to the learning experience. Feel free to drop me a whisper in game for more information on the campaign before you sign up!
The campaign shall start on the 9th June with travel RP chance provided with the Thousand Boat Bash and conclude on the 15th June.
Sign ups:
These are the sign up lists for the guilds and individuals which shall be joining in with the campaign. I’m not very fussed about individuals showing up at random, but for guilds please make sure you sign up and understand that sign ups may close before we can put you on the list due to numbers limitations. Please also be certain that your guild will be able to make it.
