No speed it up, vanilla is overrated. TBC asap
The same issue will happen in TBC if Blizzard applies the same timeline. In other words, have a goal of completing 50% of Vanilla, and maybe 50% of TBC?
It is a deal I am sure many will not like, as evidenced by this post.
Please let the people play the game the way they want to play it without making them feel bad, okthxbye
You can clear AQ40 or Naxx just dont expect Atiesh to be guaranteed.
Say Naxx in Dec, TBC in March or April with generous month prepatch. 16 resets of loot vs 40 sweaty people is not enough unless you are a druid.
People will be here complaining that they arent invited to sweaty guilds, that they are gated from AQ or Naxx while they need ātimeā because bis set from Naxx is for everyoneā¦
Druids deserve all the loot they can get in Vanilla!
What is 100%?
I think a lot of progress can be achieved, but not everything. A lot of people try to play too many characters and also achieve certain milestones with too many of them.
Perfecting one character is probably possible. Playing 2-3, dedicating them to specific content is likely also.
I learned this from 2019 and now I only run two characters and only plan to add +1 with each expansion. I hope to clear some raids on the resto druid.
In 2019 I created my usual hunter, but also a mage because current love, resto druid because of course, prot pally because of course, and then a shaman during BC, a priest which got boosted for the last weeks, and a DK during WLK. I was terribly behind - partially because I got stuck during Classic and carried it further - but it all changed when I decided to reset my brain for the last weeks of WLK and just focus on some 80 content.
By 100% I mean having a main, and getting this main to complete all relevant PvE content during the duration of Vanilla. I would settle for this since you know very well the game can be literally endless. The mere existence of Era proves this.
I know many here insist that this is easily doable by casually playing a few hours every week, but I beg to differ. For many, this is a very difficult task to achieve.
āPeople have no time to gear up altsā.
I think alts is for killing dead-time between releases.
This is a 20year old game, thereās nothing new about the classes.
The latest release was for pvp and pre-bis gear from Dire Maul. Nothing was lost.
Also, i have to add.
This isnāt a game for someone with a limited amount of time.
It takes time to level, it takes time to farm gold and gear.
I think this release pace is good. I am however worried about the rumor of a rank11 pvp cap until p3.
Then why do you play it at all, if itās not worth playing when thereās nothing ānewā in it? Besides, nobody was talking about playing alts. Many people would be glad to just be able to play a single character properly.
Thatās your opinion. With this kind of release schedule it clearly isnāt for people with a life outside of WoW. However, this schedule is not part of the game itself and can be changed easily.
In your previous posts, you wrote you donāt want to be behind but you also arenāt into catchup or alt raids. This is purely a problem in your head. You want to level multiple characters in the slowest version of WoW, pre-gear them, and start raiding but only in a very specific path where everyone else waits with raiding for you.
And the economy would not get un-botted and you will not get epic mounts from selling random leveling junk
This is just false and exaggerated. You can easily have a life outside of WoW: job, friends, whatever, and still have hit 60 by phase 2. Unless youāre playing like 1-2 hours a day, in which chase they are right, itās not a game for you. Play a less time consuming game.
There is a lot of people wanting progression but in a much slower scale. So that they can explore the game in the vanilla state DURING (not long after as era) the progression with alts and so on. I hope one day Blizz understand that.
Nothing of what you wrote has got anything to do with my statements. Zero. None.
You donāt understand me (or just donāt want to) and even completely alter my statements so that it means what you want it to mean.
- Where did I specifically state that you canāt be 60 by phase 2 if you play less?
- Why should I and so many others āplay a less time consuming gameā when we can just have a slower paced game by not rushing the phases? Why does it have to be according to YOUR preferred pace every single time? How does it affect you if there are some servers which progress more slowly? Why donāt YOU just play a game thatās more time consuming then if the slower pace isnāt your thing?
Iām sick and tired of people like you who are doing nothing besides trying to invalidate our arguments for a slower game all the time. I acknowledge your preference for rushed phases. Thatās your opinion ad your playstyle. Ok, Iām fine with that. But can you just please stop forcing this on all other players in every single realease and all the time? There already exist multiple versions of the game which completely fit your playstyle. Thank you!
no thanks, game gets pretty boring when you hit prebis
Because i enjoy it, what do you mean?
Yes, the original poster was talking about altsā¦
Itās not an opinion, thatās how the game was designed.
Personally I like the idea of a slow fresh version. Iām guessing itād attract fellow āsmelling the rosesā kind of slackers, which are my favourite compatriots
Btw.
In SoD we had AQ40 for a full 60 days before they released naxx.
so yeah, just be repared for that kind of speed
Iām so happy I quit that SOD garbage.
I enjoy it very much.
The current paladin playstyle with AQ tier set is very enjoyable.
What makes you dislike it?
- Here is your quote below. If you did hit 60 at a slower pace, then you literally have nothing to complain about, the schedule is going just fine for you even though you have a life outside of WoW.
- The game is already slow paced. We only have 2 raid instances and probably until mid to late March at best. They even delayed the initial release of MC/Ony by 3 weeks since launch which they didnāt do for Classic 2019 or for SoM. That is literally what slower pace is.
Furthermore in Classic old raid tiers do not stop being farmed even after Naxx releases due to a lot of items from them remaining either BIS or close to BIS. You are not missing out on anything. The new patch released on thursday only introduced catchup mechanics with ranking gear and Dire Maul instances that have better gear than most other instances. This isnāt my opinion, this is straight up fact. The game isnāt going anywhere, you have all the time you need, just how freaking slow do you want it to be?
The difference between dungeon pre-bis gear and MC gear is miniscule. You are making things up.
The game updates content every few months exactly to avoid itās players unsubscribing and not paying them money. You wonāt be going anywhere since youāre going slower and a faster player isnāt going anywhere because new content phase is on the horizon. Itās the best way of keeping everyone engaged and subbed.
Nothing was rushed. Weāre still at the same raid tier and will be for at least another month and a half.
Like I said responding to another player in the thread, the difference in gear between pre-bis dungeon items and MC items is miniscule. If you are actually a quality player with pre-bis gear, you will get spots in BWL with blue pre-bis gear. Besides, it is VERY rare for any player to have their full phase BIS before the next one comes out.
