PvP Rank Pools Hotfix Coming 14 October

Dear Kaivax.

We dont need your filthy pvp brackets on flamelash. Here is what we do instead on our server.

Enjoy the PTR.

On flamelash you exploit? I guess it can get boring playing the only faction on the server.

This is such a bad change and its coming from someone who has rank 14, you will just create such a toxic atmosphere now between the top players its going to be unreal, instead of asking people to have no life you’re now asking them to die for rank 14 and put there health at risk.

Where is the exploit? They almost emptied our servers on players now we gotta work with what we have.

The fair thing here would be to also increase the number of characters one can have on a specific server just like in retail.

It would reduce the need to multibox for players to create a decent poolsize and at the same time put a limit per account if anyone would multibox.

My suggestion would be 25 chars per account on a server.

I guess the system is what you make of it. If people are nice, they stack as per rank and form a “queue”. If people are selfish they make it competitive. But you missing the point here.

On a realm with a small number of slots in high brackets, it will be very close to impossible for people to rank up as all it takes is one person to send you to lower bracket.

This is not about having balls to outfarm everybody else, but its about loosing means to keep PVP alive on certain realms.

I guess better solution would be to have minimum poolsize for realms lets say 850. Obviously if the pool would exceed that number it would grow, but it would not get any smaller.

They don’t listen to community at all, even not reading. There is no chance they will revert this. That was the reason I quit in panda. Returned to classic only because they mentioned #nochanges. How was I mistaken…

When i was ranking we had few guys that were online 24/7, they would log out from time to time just for like 15 min or so. Obviously account sharing. We did mass report on those guys like 1k people reporting every week but blizz did nothing. Bcs of those people we had cap on one million and we compensated with pool boost to have spots for those breakers. With moves like this blizz only helps those cheaters that were never banned.

Sorry, haven’t posted and didn’t meant to reply like that but yes, totally agree. there is going to be massive effects on all pool boosting, something that doesn’t effects anybody in a detrimental way. However, this hot fix will effect ever single person who is still ranking, more so for the small pools.

Then why do you need to make it such a science… up to a point that people create many lowlevel characters to fool the system?
If you enjoy pvp you pvp… if don’t then I guess you don’t.

People seems to only care about the pvp epics… and not about the pvp. Just play pvp not even in BG just go world pvp. Much more enjoyable than some mindless ranking.

Just go out to Silithus if you want pvp… it used to be full of it. Sure i’m not sure how it is now.

Thats not how it was intended to work… it was intented you to play much much more for high ranks…

IMO Blizz should have done some randomization for the ranking system so that people couldn’t calculate everything so easily. The one who plays most and gets most honor is the best of course?

I’m guessing the one with the most honor will rank up ?

I believe in war there is generally only 1 Grand Marshal… Thats the highest rank.

you missing the point here mate

ur complety wrong why you coment pvp hot fix if you have 0 idea how rankign system work? Noone will rank up on small realm becouse not enough palyers in pool

Working as intented then. I really don’t see the problem with that. If you want to keep having inflated pools, get more accounts.

Pool boosting does not keep pvp alive. BGs and pool boosting have made sure pvp is pretty much non existing on most servers, unless you count world buff dispelling.

Extremely wrong. If people can’t get the ranks they’re aiming for, they just won’t pvp. If they don’t pvp, they’re more likely to quit the game. Less people playing classic spoils the community feel, especially on smaller tight knit servers. Please use your head before you start typing man.

And the game would be better without many of them. Alliance side atleast the rankers afking in AV is a huge part of the problem. They don’t play the game as it is, let them leave.

So you would rather have less people playing the game to suit your own agenda of hurr durr no changes? Cmonbruh.

Alliance rankers don’t play AV, the honor is terrible. The only people trying to rank in AV are on dead servers where they can’t get premades. You’ve no idea what you’re talking about so please, keep out of a topic directly relating to pvpers and stop trying to ruin the game for a community which you aren’t a part of :S

You either do not play or have no clue of the current state of PvP on most realms. The reason many started PvPing was due to poolboosting allowing them to actually rank up, which this garbage archaic system in many cases prevents entirely (see small pop. realms). I don’t think the players on these realms should suffer because Blizzard was unable to accurately measure the interest in WoW Classic and only opening 2 PvP realms, so everyone stacked there initially. This made it impossible for new, smaller realms to have healthy populations.

As someone already said, poolboosting was the fix the community came up with to mend this broken system. What this hotfix is doing is breaking this so the same old horrible system can go back in place. Shouldn’t the solution lie in fixing the initial system instead of “fixing” the solution that helped many? #nochanges has been a long gone idea, so I don’t think anyone would mind changing/lowering the pool numbers required to get bracket spots.
