I was reacting to what you wrote, namely that you do not have time to start again. Not the desire.
My point is that if you have time to play at all, you have time to start again.

No, Iāve never turned off any email from Blizzard, they simply didnāt email people, I could have only known if Iād been playing Wow or following WoW on social media, which I wasnāt at the time as I had no interest in Wrath classic at all.
I understand your point, but itās likely that my friends will have quit playing again by the time I catch up. I renewed my subscription specifically to join them in raiding immediately, but it was only after logging in that I realised I couldnāt clone my character to do so.
Look for new friends who will continue playing.
Looks like there will be no timely fix to this and my one month is running out.

You do realize you would have to pay for sub, then pay for clones times the number of your characters?

But Era came out at the same time as TBC, not Wrath, which is also when Choosing/Cloning became available. At the end of Classic you could have chosen to go to Classic Era for free. I think you played TBC and stopped before the end.
It seems you wonāt be resubbing as the Cloning service wonāt return due to the data being Permanently deleted. Itās regrettable that you wonāt start again and find new friends ingame.

I never said I played beta btw. I played in 2004, preordered the game before release. (CollectorĀ“s edition infact)
I do not have any logs for you, most of the time we did not give a damn about logs back in original TBC/WoTLK, I completed the hardmode achievements on my Rogue (Rat) in Skullcrusher but this argument is irrelevant. You will have a snappy comeback to anything I post.

Facts hereā¦ All chars were deleted without any warning (by warning I mean a message to us stating, hey return of your chars are going forever).

If anything will be announced it will be done after the HC seasonal event over the weekend. It can only be HC official realms but they do have two internal versions of Classic already. 1.14.4 and 1.15.

Yeah, my guild fell apart while we were farming Kara so I stopped playing quite a while before TBC ended.
Oh well, it was worth a try posting on the forums.
I only had one character that I wanted to clone, my others werenāt even 60.
If I had a sub 60 character then I would just start again, itās not the levelling that bothers me, itās the months and months of raiding, hoping for gear drops, winning the rolls etc that I donāt want to have to do again. Iād love to finally do Naxx 40 as itās the one thing I missed back in Vanilla WoW.
My guild were moving to TBC when it came out so I followed, now some of them (who were smart enough to clone before they started TBC) are playing on Era and I wanted to join them but I canāt without starting the whole process again. The amount of hours per week I can spend on Wow are more limited these days so it would probably take me 6+ months to catch up and if Iām honest I really donāt want to go through all of that again so I think Iām done.

You had an option for 18 months. This is not Blizzards fault you ignored it.
Move on, the train has left the station and the clone data are gone.
The behavior is on their part.
They deleted the chars without proper emailing etc.
Fact is many are in my situation, ask yourself why.

They ended your option of cloning your char, but your char was - and still is - where you left it.

If you actually read my posts you would see that I donāt care either way. All I say is the data is gone so itās not coming back.
I stopped doing that a long time ago xD
It would generate decent money but i donāt think they have the data or would ever bother do a move.
