This is a flawed perspective. You know most shuffle players are people who were not given a chance to play legacy3s or were given so little chance. They’ll improve by time since they can practice and learn more.
Shuffle created an AwC finalist team you know right. In the future the skill gap between legacy3s players and shuffle players will shrink and Shuffle gonna start to resemble legacy 3s more, what I mean is there will be less mistakes and less clownfiesta.
It is a matter of time. I’m sure there are many players who were hardstuck 1.6 pre shuffle and now they can climb to 2k in legacy bracket after playing more 3s and improving via shuffle. Of course not all will be able to level up their games but I’m sure majority will.
All those rank1s have not become rank1 in 1 season, they had the opportunity to play unlike alot of people and as a consequence have improved their 3s skills.
Great changes. Although I only queue 2s and 3s once a month to do the 10 wins now. Never gunna have time to find a team and push glad, but its nice to have the option to search and sign up whilst in solo shuffle queue. This should have been implented ages ago for all content.
this chnage does nothing for 2s. its the same as in shuffle theres a huge lack of healers.
and since healers get insta q in shuffle they wont list for 2s while in q.
i guess thats also for 3s.
Who cares? SL Season 2 people got 2.7 basically for free, as the season went up to 3.7k. SL Season 1 was also free Glad for everyone because of the insane participation thanks to boosted PvE players.
Rating doesn’t matter in this game, as it always depends on how active a season was.
Nice but this does nothing for people that only play SS and not 2’s or 3’s. Kind of pointless change for a lot of people and does nothing to help with queue times. Again they don’t wanna get to the root issue which is the fact that not enough people want to heal and they should do something about that (give healer incentives like gold/loot boxes, force DPS vs DPS when not enough healers are in queue, maybe add AI healers, etc)
He overreacts. This won’t fix 3v3/2v2. Actually, I believe solo shuffle is only so popular, because it’s a soloqueue game mode. If M+ had the same system, m+ would be even more popular. I’d really like them to release the actual numbers of how many people play which game mode, at least percentage wise. Guess why? People wanna chill and play after pressing one button, no rocket science.
Indeed. Especially since we have to consider how this would work. Q shuffle & play 3s at the same time for example. You are extremely likely to be in a 3s game when the shuffle q procs. So what, don’t enter your 30min q, or leave your 3s, making it a loss, giving a free loss to people who devoted time to play with you, and making them wait 20 mins while you play ?
Exactly. This actually fixes nothing at all outside of some rare situations, and it’s also impossible to be fixed, because it’s a core game design discrepancy with people wanting something and the devs imagining how something is supposed to be. Venruki asked for this change for example, but I think he doesn’t know the way a lot of “normal” unkown players play the game. People will look for a pug in LFG, queue pops after 30 min, they leave. Or even worse: You decline queue pop after 20 min of finding someone, play one game, lose, your partner leaves instantly, back to queue. It’s not something to be salvagable. Solo shuffle opened pandoras box. 3v3 has to die now.
I disagree with your opinion. I think they need to just realize that their 2023 player base just wants to press one button to queue and remove 3v3 instead, or remove the exclusive rewards tied to it. Now is the experimental phase for pvp I think. Next step would be to implement RBG soloqueue and see how it works out.
yeathey should all have there choice i agree but it was kinda fine befoire they added this i mean they will probably add glad mount to soloq aswell cause 2 many cry for it so yea.
I mean of course. Imagine most players play a specific game mode, and the other one being extremely unpopular, and despite of that the onpopular one hogging all the rewards, and the people playing the unpopular game mode demanding for the popular one to be removed. It’s clear that people won’t like this and “cry”, y’know
Give what in shuffle? Shuffle is the same like 3s, just without pre made teams. So you should basically get everything you can earn in 3s. And you already can, Legend, R1 Legend, etc. Only thing still missing is something comparable to a gladiator mount, but since shuffle was a huge success for Blizz and still is, I think it’s only a question of time until you will get it from shuffle.
You think the rating being so high there is a bad thing, because it doesn’t reflect their skill level etc. But rating is just a number. The more player a bracket has and the longer season lasts (rating inflation), the higher the rating gets.
That’s why we saw people in SL season 2 up to 3.8k rating. I mean, seriously, we had 10k+ glads in SL season 2 but you still act like it would have some value.
That might be your opinion and that is fine, but I would expect that to happen. I think even themselves were surprised of how much people are actively playing and enjoying it. So it came to stay and probably to become the main PvP bracket, but seems like it already happend.
I guess you guys oversee its deeper meaning behind it. This change is a potential small fix for the LFG issue. There are no teams in LFG because people are in locked in shuffle queue and can’t list for 2s/3s at the same time.
With the change, people can come online, queue for shuffle and look in the meanwhile for some 2s/3s. If they find something there, they are going to play 2s/3s, if not, they still have their shuffle queue going on.
That might not change that most people still prefer shuffle > 3s, but will help those who play exclusively arena or both. Not a major improvement, but still a small one that doesn’t hurt and can help people who prefer regular arena.
