Unhappy players from pvp servers please explain

Time will tell, but the only way for me to state my opinion as a customer is to stop shopping

ultimately if that’s what you want to do, more power to you

it seems gandling has it fairly bad

Well as alliance, it absolutely sucks.

Though I’m sure if you’re horse on most servers it’s fun as hell!

I just can’t wait for BGs to see all the horde complain for their queue times.

I expected PvP server, not GvP but mostly RvP server. It even worked first 44 lvls

I did play on two PvP severs in vanilla. It was never the carnage that I see now. It was never a problem to level up on the servers where I played. I was hoping classic would be more like the original game with raids on cities and things like that.

I think the mindless carnage that is dominating now is caused by the increased serverpopulation.

I´m playing on Zandalari Tribe. The balance is quite ok here. Alliance is bigger, but not much bigger, I think.

I understand this can kill the game for allies on servers dominated by horde. If you have a real life to live and limited time to play the game its no point wasting your time in a game where you cant do anything without getting killed again and again and again. Not fun.

Did you expect it to be something else? Don’t tell me you were one of those delusional people who unironically thought it would be “just like vanilla”?

Oh no, far from it, I just find it a tad disappointing that they’ve chosen to replicate pservers in order to get the subs of those who don’t pay for them rather than at least pretend to want a Vanilla-esque game. It’s a business policy and fair enough, it has worked.

I´m not surprised. I thought it would be chaos. But what I thought would happen and what I hoped would happen was not the same thing.

I hope it will be playable again in a week or two. I´ll just chill on a PvE server when I feel like playing wow until it calms down. If it doesn´t calm down, I might stay there. Or quit.

I expected it to be like it was when I played in Vanilla.

What many seems to not understand is that there is one MAJOR difference now and in vanilla: Overpopulation.

On a vanilla server there were around 3000 players. On servers now more than 10 000.

What this means is:

Yes, in vanilla there was ganking and griefing too. But there were not that high number of players so you could always find a zone or a spot to do something.

With the huge number of players on servers now there are opposing players in every corner of the world effectively blocking all possibilities for level 50-59 to do anything at all apart from being cannon fodder for the Honor farming squads.

ive re-rolled to pve servers  just do like me , i can’t level my alts on pvp , it’s just being ganked 24/7

Yes I rerolled PvE too. There are lots of players in the starting zones. I have been looking around. If they stay, we will have many players in the same lvl range. Many of them probably refugees from the gankingmadness.

I’m afraid you were told. Human nature ruins the PvP server

I expected to actually be able to play the game.

Which is impossible once you hit level 48+

yeah i was thinking you know player vs a player not me vs a server

The main thing for me is the totally shambolic rollout of realms at the very beginning. That fiasco has been the cause of many players not really into pvp landing on pvp realms purely due to the pop being seemingly better than the miniscule amount of pve options that were made available to them at that time. That in turn has created a huge amount of apathy when players call for help. Even on a non pvp realm in TBC days I remember huge numbers running to defend Thrall from an Org attack but with this it’s just depressingly ‘meh’. There are pockets of those willing to do battle but it’s woefully small to what I’d hoped and so as above you are met in every location by huge hunting packs. There was a time when you could just quest elsewhere for a bit, but with this there isn’t any elsewhere to go.

He probably can’t grasp that this has nothing to do with vanilla, because he is too confy with the statuos quo, having a stablished honour farming group that runs all day killing every allie in sight without, or with almost none opposition.
This people don’t realize the consequences of this problem, for already unbalanced servers in a medium long term and are only following the smell of pvp rewards, based on their huge hk’s numbers.

I like how every reply of l2p its pvp for pvp is by horde

unhappy, frustrated, take your pick. So, i have been playing most of the blizzard games except for wow (none of them) until i got convinced to actually start playing it. It was before the pvp and i had a chance to explore the game until lvl 26 as horde then on another server as alliance and it was fun at times. Of course we want to lvl up to get lvl 60 and raid, kill people fairly ( some of us have honor). So, since the pvp really started, i haven’t been able to level up at all ( not all of us have the time nor want to be boosted) or maybe a few because well players with 20+ level over others randomly killing low levels, being ganked as a hunter when i have no mana and less hp, being chased by random players who just stood in the zone where i respawned and waited. If not for my auction house skill, i would have probably been on 0 with the money from all the repairs. So my opinion is that the honor system is ok but the players in wow make the pvp DOG POOP. I can blame blizzard for not imposing rules through the chaos but i mostly blame the players who ruin the experience for the others and make it DOG POOP. I don’t mind killing other players AS LONG AS THEY ARE MY LEVEL, AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT STRUGGLING ON DOING HIGHER QUESTS, AS LONG AS IT IS FAIR! I’d rather have that sense of honor than to be genuine ahole and ruin someone’s experience, just saying. So, from someone who joined in with a bunch of other lvl 20 to try and kill a level 60 who was ganking and killing us in crossroads and it was fun (dieing mostly but we almost killed him) now wow just seems the type of game where people can be at their worst and actually be proud of it. Yes, i have horde and alliance characters because i don’t have those 15 years of judging factions behind and wanted to have both.

I’ve played on PvP servers since beta. I’ve played on PvP private servers. You win some, you lose some, I’ve won quite a bit more than I’ve lost. And I’ve shown reasonable restraint.
I’ve never been in a situation, where every single one of the final leveling zones is clamped down by multiple raids of fully geared corpsecamping griefers, which I feel is a fair description of the situation and behaviour on display, farming every lower lvl, lower geared player they can find - except for when there’s a fair fight in front of them, then they run and hide.
There has never been an honor system without battlegrounds, so there’s never been a situation like this. To claim people should’ve seen it coming due to population is so missing the point.
I’m sure it can be fun if you’re lvl60 and are done with MC/Onyxia, join a raid and face off against the others - sounds a bit like Hellsbrad of old. But then level’ers could stay their behinds out of Hellsbrad and Ganklethorn Vale, and keep leveling just fine. Insted of spending more than half the gametime corpse running, or running from griefers, no matter which zone it is.
EDIT: Oh, and just for the record, I wilfully chose the very lowest population server possible at launch.
