☠ Why do you gank lowbies?

yes you heard about my story going to azshara through ashenvale?

its my warcraft story now  this is classic

why would it need any excuse? its a pvp server people chose on their own to play there and its fun simple as that.

and what does it have to do with toxicity?

The only toxic guy here is you who just says they have issues etc just because they play the game a different way than you do.

Also i like this black/white thinking: ganks lowbie=> must be bad.

but what if im a gladiator and simply enjoy killing low levels on my way to a quest ? For me its fun to kill opposite faction doesnt matter if lvl10 or 60 =)

if you have a problem with it:
dont enter BB boat when im entering =)

:frowning: ey…

Why is water wet?

I’m going to gank Alliance kids for revenge once my rogue is high enough level. So yeah, for revenge.

But seriously, like I get it kill some lowbies on sight might be fun for someone. However people literally camping low level zones just to kill lowbies because they suck at playing against same levels should seriously think about their life for a second.

I mean when I see some low level guy with warmode on questing on retail, I usually leave him. Like where’s the fun at one shotting someone who can’t fight back? Even though retail WPvP sucks, I’ve had more fun fighting people in max level zones rather than going trough low level zones just to kill some low level guy.

The two only exceptions when I would attack a low level player are if they want to take resources that I want (nodes, herbs, specific mobs), which is just war over resources and “survival of the fittest”, or if they are attacking a fellow Horde player.

I see no other reason whatsoever as “valid” or “justified” to attack a low level player.

Indeed there is. Just look at the replies…

The arguments for ganking low level players are mostly (like Laineth said):

  • Boredom (probably the only logical reason, but also the dumbest)
  • Unhealthy obsession to slaughter anyone of the opposite faction (no logic)
  • They are trying to trigger a WPvP event (99% of the time no one cares about the ganker and a wPvP will not trigger)
  • Revenge (no logic, ganking random people because random people ganked you once)
  • Competition to secure land for farming nodes (not happening with layering)
  • Schadenfreude (actually the most common reason, and the most immoral one)

As well as:

  • Some kind of real-life frustration so they want to blow off steam (dealing with your frustration by frustrating other people is just pathetic and is the definition of bullying)

Because ganking is toxic. Just like how ice is cold and fire is hot. By the way, I didn’t know that your braindead guild moved from Dragonblight to Classic. To think that I actually considered starting on Noggenfogger for about 3 minutes…

Because they’re a gnome. Gnomes should die.

People often gank lowbies because they feel more powerful that way, compensate them for other real-life shortcomings they might have. :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe it is a mix of all three and more, the motivations always differ. I usually do not gank lower level players unless they attack me or annoy me somehow, like trying to steal my mining node or do insulting emotes. On occasion it has happened that I lashed out to gank some unfortunate lowbie who crossed my path after I had been ganked by an even bigger fish. Some go by the saying “if it’s red it’s dead”, and kill anything on sight, regardless of level. Others will barely defend themselves if attacked.

It’s just the way of life on a PvP server, such as it has always been. The only thing I personally can’t stand is the ones who will corpse camp people just out of spite. That is really a form of griefing and does nothing but harm.

-5 +5 is fair game!
Bellow that not fun really… only if you are attacking a fellow member of the Horde and I happen to witness it, you die…

Edit: oh and warlocks… F*ck warlocks no matter the lvl… I would even attack warlocks on my faction if I could…

Yesterday I was ganked 3 times in 5 minutes. However, I think it will make you to be more careful about the surrounding and were you traveling. You feel the heart start beating a little bit more.

The only times I have attacked lower level Horde?

  • A level 25 Troll Hunter and 24 Undead Rogue (6 and 7 levels below me respectively) double-teamed a level 21 Druid. The Druid respawned and came to warn me about the gankers - I invited the Druid to a group, rolled up and killed both of the Horde to teach 'em a lesson.

  • I had was camped for 30min by a 5-man Horde Death Squad at Mystral Lake, including two who out-leveled me (orange, not red or skull). Understandably, I was not feeling very charitable to the Horde after this. A lot of green-level Hordie’s who happened to run into me died afterwards.

Otherwise? I either throw 'em a friendly /wave as I pass by or ignore 'em entirely. Hell, I tend to only engage yellow-range Horde for the following reasons: rare spawns, chests, they’re ganking Alliance, they’re ganking me, they’re deliberately interfering with my current quest (Rogue who killed my escort).

Because i gotta stay in character and continue on playing a feral panther with no sense of morals.

Strong or weak, you’re gonna get the claw. You mess with the meow meow, you get the peow peow.

why so toxic?

Shut up, troll.

and again you say ganking is toxic but cant deliver any reasonable explanation.

the only guy so far is you who is toxic/insultig: “your braindead guild” “shut up” ;D

I said shut up. Everyone can see your posts and your guild. Just stop posting, okay?

Stick to your guild’s Discord where you can sh*tpost all you want.

you must mistake me because i dont shtpost =) how did my guild hurt you?

Your guild hasn’t hurt me. It is comprised mainly of cringy morons and sh*tposters, who intentionally grief people.

Either you’re playing stupid or this is not the same TRC from Dragonblight. So which one is it?
