Why is Blizzard intentionally griefing random players in BGs?

Premades stomping random players over and over and over and over and over and over and over again in AB and WSG.
Does Blizzard think this is funny?
The rewards for the losing side? ONE TOKEN?
Are you serious Blizzard, you find it funny adding insult to injury?
This is not what Vanilla was like.
You met premades maybe 15% of the time, now it’s 95% or more.
I can’t believe Blizzard is griefing us like this, it’s just sad.

Why are you queueing solo? I don’t get that. Join friends or randoms from your realm and queue as a small raid and have fun. It’s really that simple to fix your problem.

I was rank 10 in Vanilla with this hunter, spring- summer 2006.

Vanilla original WSG and AB was 95% of the time premades. Specifically, I remember playing against a premade led by a guy named Vexx whom I remember after all these years. Nordrassil EU.

This is the authentic vanilla experience which we asked for.

There was no such thing as "fair’ in Vanilla. If you want fair, go to reTaiL.

If you want to know what happened, they roflstomped our PUGS and i usually went somewhere and shadowmelded so they couldnt kill me and could get no honor from me until they got bored and ended wsg by capping or ab timer ended.

95% of the time, alliance pugs were gy res-farmed until they got it and would res no more.

I also remember it being only premades in AB/WSG. It was common knowledge that you don’t go into lvl 60 battlegrounds without vent server and full team. Top end of lower brackets was where the fun happened. Twinks were rather rare, so you could get somewhat fair games at 48/49 and 58/59 etc.
This is normal vanilla situation you are whining about.

95% of the time vs premades in vanilla? You either didn’t play vanilla or you are a liar

With realm-only matchmaking, it varied a lot from server to server. It also varied a lot depending on what time of vanilla you were playing, since likely not everyone kept going after getting r14 already.

As for what this crappy xrealm patch is concerned, it varied a lot depending on which battlegroup you were in back then.

I’m aware, but there weren’t that many premades, most only queued wsg and ab until av popped then skipped to that as most of the time it was a 2-6 hours wait time. Majority played in groups of 2-5 or solo. Then when/if they got into an av they left for it. Av wasn’t like now, it was play constant 2 days and have exalted, alot of the time av would go on for 24/7, wsg ab were just stop overs to waste time. Yes u had the odd premades but it was nowhere near the extent of today

Even in original vanilla most people wanted a solo queue only option. Tbh, that and removing dishonorable kills are the only two classic changes I am for because I asked for them in original vanilla too.

This entire post shows you’re not aware of what I said though. Doesn’t seem like you understand this whole thing about not every server was the same, and not each battlegroup was the same.

Queue times were different. The amount of premades was different. The gear average was different.
All of these things were also different depending on which faction you were playing on, even if you were playing on the same server.

Each server was completely isolated until they brought in the battlegroups, and even those battlegroups looked very different compared to this one gigantic retail matchmaking system we’ve got now.

So you’re calling him a liar for saying what he remembers of what it was like on his server & faction, because you seem to remember something different or heard something different about what it was like back then on a different server and/or faction.

I’m saying people will say whatever they feel is required to keep their little unfair advantage and carry on exploiting for max honor per hour. Most of us played on multiple servers and factions and used forums to discuss much like now, you know, forums existed back in vanilla not like you yourself played back then. Bit like people worked back then and wernt bucket dwelling benefit scum to go along with 16 hours a day premade expoliting

Now you’ve really gone off the reservoir. So adhering to logic isn’t a thing you’re used to, eh? Alright, I’ll break it down for you.

  1. In games, exploits are unintended advantages, strictly speaking. Best example of that is counting cards in blackjack. This means that something available by intentional design is not an exploit.
  2. The way it’s designed falls under the umbrella term called social design. It’s designed in a way to encourage grouping up with friends, and also to get to know more people to bolster your forces in a similar way to how you don’t tackle raids alone but need other people for it so you’re pushed into talking to other people for such things. It’s the same reason 2D platform games sometimes sends you back to the start when you die, it’s meant to serve as a subconscious motivational tool to avoid going through the punitive aspect of it by getting better, like getting people you can perform better teamwork with than with randoms.
  3. You’re saying “95%” of your games are vs. premades so this obviously shows it’s working as intended in the social design. Which makes YOU the minority and should just learn to socialize so you’ll reap the same benefits, or simply stay away from PvP if you don’t like the reduced rewards you get for losing. Don’t turn this into retail’s asocial aRPG garbage more than it already is.

Crybaby.

(You guys sure like using 95% as a hyperbole for some weird reason. You, the OP of this thread, and also that Nikion dude.)

There greefing cus u decided to play the verry First expansion (thats even free, becaus you pay for retail) and now you dont like it.

Sigh, already bought 100 bags of toilet paper?

Yea. I’m sure Blizzard thinks it’s funny. They probably host events for employers where they watch BG streams of premades vs pugs so everyone can have a good laugh. That’s, ultimately, what the game was released for.

some people like to form premades, others prefer (or simply can not due to real life limitations) This always was, always be the case, people play the game in different ways , why pit premade vs pugs when there appears to be an abundant of premades ? why not simply limit premades to fight against premades? cause it will actually be a challenge ?

Those who defend this atrocious premades vs pugs match ups, just want easy , hassle free , assured victories.

Because its a custom change. Maybe it is a good idea that could work but it is in fact a custom change to this recreation of a game.

Classic is a recreation of the game how it was. This system was used in every Vanilla retail patch.

Plz check the post history of the OP, he’s trying to be an “influencer” but to me he’s more of a manipulator with his absurd posts.

In his post the absurd part imo is where he puts responsibilities at Blizzard’s where they don’t belong and never can be put on them

And if this stupid piece of a company would simply fix this and made premades face only premades, they would have a lot more subscribers right now.

Premade vs premade only would kill most premades as they are now. The only thing that matters when ranking is honor/hour, and premade vs premade is pretty bad honor/hour.
