Christ you really are bone idle aren’t you? It was three short paragraphs, the longest of which had three lines.
wow cool man
it’s still paying for an advantage. It is not ok. RaF is the most I’d accept
It’s not for you to accept, it’s for Blizzard to decide what they do, and they have already decided to add it.
I don’t see how it’s any different to the boost in retail anyway.
Actually, it is. It’s every player’s individual decision to accept or reject any given decision blizzard makes. If too many reject, then blizz has got a problem don’t they?
It isn’t, which is exactly the problem.
You have no input into the matter, if you think you do then you are deluded.
every player has input into the matter. They can have their voice heard through social media, influencers, forums, Q & As but most importantly through their wallet.
I may be deluded to think blizz gives af, correct. And tbh, from the start of this thread, I quite clearly said that this thread or any other thread or online post will probably not change blizz’ decision but that isn’t the point. It’d be the dream if they listened to me or any other anti-booster, but even if they don’t, there’s still value in showing that there is resistance to these kind of predatory moves from game companies, especially on products that were MEANT to emulate an old experience. After all, that is this forums primary purpose, whether it actually has much effect or not.
It won’t, unless a very large proportion of the player base rebel, and they haven’t, Blizzard won’t change their minds.
That is wrong, Blizzard only ever come here to ban people, I thought you would know that by now. Feedback is not passed on from these forums.
historically, this isn’t true. Blizzard has always made knee-jerk reactions to loud minorities over the years because the vocal body, no matter the take, is almost always a vast minority because most people cba to speak out even if they agree.
But I think this is only so because it is guaranteed big money, not because it’s a popular decision.
whether blizzard utilises the intended benefits of a forum or not does not negate what the purpose of the forum is.
I only know of one. The changing of the posting to the Battletag, I can’t think of any others.
Since even people in the post are both for and against it, you will not change their mind with anything posted on the forums.
The forum is here for players to discuss things, that is all it’s for. I doubt they even know you have posted here about it. They only ever look at the CS and tech forums.
Well, let me give you another one. The cataclysm dungeon nerfs back at cata launch. Vocal minority <snip - Blizzard - please don’t use masked profanity> on the forums, it got knee-jerk changed.
people disagree with anything. There is ALWAYS conflict. This does not eliminate the possibility of it being heard. You must have not been around back before classic was announced and people constantly spammed what was known as the ‘‘wall of no’’ at any request for classic servers with people fear mongering all over the place. And look where we are today.
That might be all it achieves, but that doesn’t mean that’s what it should be and was intended to be for. The forums are like a derelict house, somewhere that is meant to be lived in but is unhospitable due to owner negligence.
I’m not arrogant enough to assume that they do, and it was never my point. You need to learn to read what I’m responding to you with Mr. or I’m going to stop wasting my time replying.
maybe
I always said that they had no plans for that, I very rarely said no, except to annoy posters. I’ve been around far longer than you have, I started posting on the first forums.
It does if you post on the EU forums. They only ever look at the US forums and then only occasionally.
Not maybe, they have confirmed this in the past.
58 boosts and the gold inflation really are huge downers for this otherwise so extremely fun announcement.
I was looking forward to level 1-70 on fresh servers with a clean economy. When you only level with Draenei and everyone has epic flying mount and full crafted gear in a week, it’s not that fun.
People will have that anyway, since they are level 60.
and exactly how does this aid your point? I fail to see the relevancy…
so you assume when I started posting was when I joined the forums? Got it… we got a genius up in here…
And they’re kicking up a bigger storm over the boost over there than here so…
If so then sure but it was kind of a thing you started arguing about that was never the basis of any of my points?
Although this wouldn’t satisfy my wants, I have a sneaking suspicion that blizzard will do no-boost no-transfer fresh realms due to popular demand post TBC launch.
You started playing WoW in what, about 2011? According to your achievements.
on this account. My grandfather got me into wow back at the end of wotlk and I first saw the game in TBC (or at least I think it was, I was very young and all I remember was my grandad on a nelf hunter in nagrand fighting a big elite owl under a tree)
And besides, I do my research. Forum topics that I missed out on when they happened are well documented. Although I experienced the cata dungeon one, it is a very well documented part of the game’s history talked about in many videos and forum threads.
And all of this is completely irrelevant anyway. My comment about ‘‘you must have not been around back then’’ was a somewhat facetious mockery of your blatant ignorance towards historical opposition to people’s criticisms of the game and how they haven’t stopped blizzard from reacting to them despite the controversy surrounding said topics. Blizz probably WON’T remove the boost, but I’d be damned if I didn’t do my 0.001% part to try.
And if our (anti-boosters) opposition is inconsequential and pointless, then why do people like yourself take such objection to us expressing our view points? You’re wasting your time just as much as we are.
didnt watch lol (i did)
