i have 6 lvl 60’s i really cant be arsed to lvl another from scratch (boost him etc) and I want a pala horde side, so i will be using the boost mechanic. Too many think this is going to break the game, its not, the only thing I wish would happen is Blizzard actually invested the money better that they taking back into the game more than they are at present with laying off staff and over paying execs with servers that are the same as they were 15 years ago.

Sephuz’s secret was terrible at the start of the expansion, only giving you haste on an interrupt, which is pretty useless in raids. Also depends on your class/spec, for elemental shaman there were items like

which were insane, giving you a legit massive dps increase.

If you are that amazing player that di 2 wolrd first on a few top 10, even without it you should have been able to keep your spot in any low tier CE guild.

Let me give a non-toxic reason why I will use the boost: I made 3 ali 60s on my server, then quit and when I came back I wanted to re-roll horde on the same server. I can’t do that. I have to delete all my alis, transfer them for zilion dollars or have and manage a seperate account to be able to reroll other faction.
Paid faction change would present way worse problems than a one time boost and so the boost is an alternative to faction change for me. I will send those 3 alis to the classic forever realm and happily boost my new hordie on a server where I have all my friends.
i can see why this sucks and that the situation is pretty uncool. How do your friends the transition ?

We live in a world in which proof is paramount to any debate. You have no proof that RMT companies buy boosts. You go off on a tangent thinking that because a player would by a boost, so would they. They are a business and you don’t go wasting money on something that can be avoided.
Due to it’s cost, it actually makes the game less accessible to many new players
This does nothing to limit accessibility whatsoever. Those that are interested in TBC will either play through Vanilla because they can’t justify to themselves buying a boost or they’ll boost themselves because they can justify it. In either cases it’s a win.
It creates a new meta for how to be the most time efficient and competitive player

It really does not de-legitimize anything. You can still be proud of having completed your journey from zero to hero on your own. I don’t get amazed at seeing level 60ies. I mean… They’re everywhere. Nor was it a challenge, required co-operation or particular skill. It’s fairly straight forward and can be done entirely without any social interation.
Player-driven dungeon boosts are more acceptable than blizzard provided level boosts
Hell no, it’s one of the most despicable things to have come about in Classic. It is worse than god damn bots. If I had my way those players got yeet’d out of the game, sadly I don’t have my way.

@Elgarr: In TBCC horde side, only blood elves can be paladins, hence Khorus’ comment…
EDIT: Old expansions had far more restricted class / race combination options.

- Bots are in the game even befor the boost , a boost will not changed that .They will be at lv 60 befor and after .
- The boost helps every Player who wants to join there Friends but dislikes vanilla to catch up .
- The boost does not boost professions so there is no gain in that , also gear resets anyway duo the first quests in Hellfire.P
4.) A personal note : i have a friend who started with WoW , she wants to level with me since that the driving force behind her playing .
The Boost is ment for that aswell .Giving People a chance to quickly join in with
there Friends.
5.)With or without the Boost , the econemie will be wierd anyway .Thats just the nature of the new generation.
6.)It does not de.-legitimises anything , you still have your gear , your experience.
They get the lowest of the low gear , start without professions and even start at LV 58.
Sidenote, i wonder what would anti boost people say about deathknights in the wrath of the Lichking era. Boosted to 58 , getting blue gear and a free mount + blacksmithing and mining .

help =/= required. Those players could just level in prepatch with the sped up levelling from patch 2.3 if they really want to play at launch. If they wouldn’t have then clearly they don’t care that much.
yes there is because you skip the levelling part and go straight into professions. Many valuable cooldowns with professions require high level.
Anecdotal and therefore meaningless.
So don’t make it worse then???
Every1 else had to level themselves, why should players now be able to pay to skip? It does delegitimise parts of the game.
