Cos the feature is already present and the documentation nedded is already there.
update on the boost: They’ve now announced a unique set of intro quests for boosted characters. More retail-esk hand-holding.
tsk tsk…
Boosters start at 75% at level 58 with 150% rested experience.
So basically they start at level 60.25
Not only that, but they’re breaking immersion with the “…time to begin your training”… ehh dude, I’m lvl 58! And the Alliance version “A letter from Khadgar appears in your pocket”…How tf does he know who I am? He’s on another bloody planet!
I know it’s nitpicking, but it’s just
this is hilarious… good one mate
Good news, because you will finally leave this forum forever!
We need to all stand UP and keep making tickets and posts, so blizzard will have to listen.
why it should be good news? Its always bad if someone leave forum forever.
You know what really grinds my gears. The people asking for the boost will quit the game in 2 months and leave us with their mess!
@Pinkfist: It is not good news. Parrydodger and I do not agree on some things, but “forcing” anyone out of the forums is counterproductive.
@Ayparcasi: I am not sure you can put all the boost supporters into just one single group. Some of the “tourists” will certainly leave, just as happened with Classic launch, but those people who acquire boosts for professions or specifically to play with high-level friends are more likely to stay at least somewhat longer. After all, even 58-70 will take a bit of time and then more time is needed to do actual level 70 content (and the relevant unlocks before that).
Idk why you guys bother, the boost is announced, it will happen.
@Nylu: You only pay, if you want to play both permanent era Classic AND TBCC with same character. Pick just either one is free, pick both payable.
Having boosts in TBC will be an absolute disaster. It’s unbelievable how Blizzard can be this tonedeaf.
I saw lot of complaints abkut this boost… I can’t wait for it to be avaiable. Gonna break the game? Not at all.
As from someone who had 10000+ hours of playtime in 2008 when wotlk launched, I can’t believe I get to play TBC again. If there was a time of perfection in this game it was during 2.4.3 and I’m happy to throw my life at it again, 13 years later.
I had countless max leveled characters in multiple realms, full geared both pve and pvp. I remember the countless hours leveling all he characters and yes, I’m gonna level all classes to 70 again.
I don’t know how many people can actually match my hours at that time and while I think leveling is one of the best part of classic/tbc, If you spent as many hours as I did leveling you would understand why I can’t wait for the boost to happen. While I can still put a considerable amount of hours into the game, I would grab the chance to skip part of the leveling with eyes closed. Not only I would buy it asap, I would also buy for all classes and maybe for multiple realms. I thank blizzard for letting me do that.
Great! More unnecessary changes. GJ Blizz, keep it up. Maybe add profession boosts next, I’m sure they would generate a lot of income as well…
Perhaps with all this boost money they could hire a few GMs to take care of bots? Crazy idea, I know !
Nope. Not gonna happen.
I think about 50% will be tourists, 45% will be bots and 5% will be its there so why not.
In the end bots will win.
- It will allow Blizzard to offer additional paid incentives to promote retail players to join TBC only to make the current users unhappy.
They should rename it to lvl 60.25 boost.
We’re going to also have pretty nice 58 boost killing coalition going on during launch (on Gehennas).
It’ll be great.
Cant wait to see the rewards for these quests. You know how they need those “almost naxx drop quality gear” to be “competitive” and “enjoy” the game woth their friends.
God forbid they have to put some effort into it.
Btw any word on having the boosted characters be fully rested up to 70? They really dont have the time to grind so maybe add that as a service?
Posting my support here to stop the paid services from infecting Classic WoW.
I know you aren’t the company you used to be, but even if you cynically made Classic WoW as an advert for Retail. At the very least let us enjoy the game in our own corner of the already massive gaming empire you control.
Retail has enough micro-transactions for your company to profit off, Classic doesn’t want any.
Blizzard how about you stop beating around the bush and just release level boosts. For a small fee of lets say around 2€ you can boost your character by a level!
How about those loot drops? They are awfully low % so getting that sweet loot takes waaay too long considering that nobody actually wants to spend time playing, they just want that next thing quickly and log out. So start selling loot buffs! A buff thats unpurgeable, last through death 4h 8h 24h buff that increases loot rate by some percent!
Think about all the time saved for players who really dont want to be here playing the game.
