That was the problem. You shouldn’t been living in her place.
You serious?!
Grinding gold to pay someone for their time to boost you is hugely different to paying blizzard £49 for a level boost…
Click on that video 2 posts above you and skip to 20:15.
Except that none is grinding gold for a boost 99% of the playerbase got the gold from a gold seller in the first place. Someone pays a mage gold that he bought. Now that guy can spend that gold on boosting a character. And then the cycle begins. Ur delusional if u believe people farm 3k gold to boost 1-60 on multiple chars. No it’s all a bought from a gold seller somehow. Maybe you sold lotuses well those gold usually came from gold sellers aswell. I know a whole guild that bought over 400k gold from gold sellers which they spend on consumes/boosts scarab lord carapaces etc etc… that is from 1 single guild with 40 active raiders. Now they are selling gdkp why? Cuz people are buying items through botted gold. Wake up and see the real problem you peon.
No point in trying mate, the majority of the community is too dumb to realise what’s in their own interest.
People are literally paying happy to pay to skip a game they are paying to play rather than ask for an improvement of the game so that everything they are doing is worthwhile.
And they hide their stupidity behind idioticies such as “just make money irl lol”
It’s so sad to see the game go down this path.
They are speedrunning turning it into retail and people are cheering for it.
Why not just play retail then? why ruin classic for the people who wanted to play wow again?
If you mean groupfinder in retail its actually better. Its now just one huge gameshop. Click one those WTS runs and just buy what you want. Also in too many cases you click WTS run where you also can buy with real cash but who cares afterall its WTS run too but they accept also your creditcard . Well there is normal groups too under all that spam
Sorry I missed the part where I said gold selling wasn’t an issue?
I’d also be interested in seeing where you pulled 99% from, because it looks like you plucked that number from thin air.
The solution to gold selling is not selling gold.
It pollutes the 58-70 player population (especially at launch) with clueless players
It isn’t going to be fun when you’re trying to do dungeons whilst levelling with players who are on their nice and shiny new boosted class that they have no idea how to play because they’ve just been thrown their random assortment of gear, with a crap load of talents and spells that they don’t understand. These players will be dead weight and a drag to play with not to mention the fact that they will contribute to server lag and over-population in HFP.
I agree with all you say apart from your text above…
Most of the Classic player base are veterans of the game and they know how to play the game.
Just because players are probably casual doesn’t mean the are bad at the game.
I’m a veteran player and don’t know how to play every class well at max level in classic tbc.
I’m against the boost but I always cringe when I see this argument. You can literally learn to play your class in classic/tbc to be able to clear dungeons and raids after 5 minutes of research. Especially when majority of the people have played the game before in the last 17 years. There are many problems with the boost but this is not one of them.
I used to honestly think it really wasn’t a big deal too, until I did some dungeons to warm-up for TBC and the talent/spec changes. I did about 5 dungeons, and every one of them had at least 2 boosted players.
It was honestly disgusting they were lost:
-Shamans using the Frostbrand enchant
-Priests dispelling 1 disease out of 30 with dispel disease (not abolish)
-Mages being outdps’ed by a prot warrior on packs
-Rogues using hemorrhage/rupture/deadly poison
Not to mention the usual asspulls.
As if you didn’t made bad choices while leveling…
Imagine they just created a lvl 1 toon with a lot of spells. They likely pick those that sounds great.
As a nice player you could point things out and it might turn a run around into a pleasant experience for all parties involved.
See the issue here?
I’m very tolerant towards new players, but if you’re willing to spend 40 bucks to start at level 58, I’m expecting you to also be willing to read your freaking spells and know how to play your class, just like people do at the end LEVELING process.
Well let’s just say the last 2 level are in this case the level experience and for most of the player enough to learn the basics.
That’s what I thought too, which is why I only went into groups with 60 people only.
The people I’m speaking in my rant were all 60s.
Two things:
Firstly, most players in Classic will not be new to Wow. I may be two days into Classic but I have played WoW since 2004 and yes, I do know how to open my spellbook. I doubt if that is unusual.
Secondly, anyone rushing to get to the endgame is missing the point. The levelling experience is the main bulk of the game. One of the bad things that Blizzard did to WoW was to speed up progression through the levels. Westfall is a lovely place. You should enjoy playing there.
dont mind me just watching
Hey this goes totally against my tough. and i disagree, but you have also some points which stand strong. but me as a player this option are honey , i like to use tokens to get my gold and skip the boring tedious part where i jump straight to the action of the TBC. THE ONE TIME BOOST was a bit disappointing for me coz i could do just one and honestly i want it to have 3 , like best dps/ heal/tank to play at 60 + so in my opinion the boost was good for me.
no, it’s great
I really like the OPTION to boost and I used it to raise a Warrior as it is tedious to level one from scratch. Meanwhile I leveled this Shaman the normal questing way.
I don’t think it has less value. I leveled a Warrior once in the old times and know how it is. So I chose not to do it again … leveling in outland is already tedious enough.
